And at times, you will come across such a numbness that you will find it hard to move your fingertips across the keypad on your phone. That is what pain does to you. At that moment no love song can lighten up your mood and no breakup song can boil up the will of revenge inside you. It is the empty and abandoned feeling of the Winters; the paralyzed feeling when you won't find the vitality to throw the covers away, get up and do something.

I remember the numbness when the storm you sent my way, pierced its way right through my chest. It was the most painful time in my life because I neither wept nor yelled your name. I just lay in my bed praying to the Lord above to undo what had been done.

When it finally hit me that you will not be returning to me, not this time, I cried like a wild animal caged for the very first time. I did not sound like me. The voice was of a wolf howling in pain, a lion roaring in agony and a gorilla screaming in pain. You changed me. You changed me when you were mine and you changed me when I was no longer entitled to tell you that I love you.
