This wasn’t home. In fact, this was far from being home. The blond had woken up in an unfamiliar environment filled with what seemed to be people cosplaying? He had no idea what these people were doing, all he knew was that they were looking at him odd. The same way those kids in Rustboro used to look at him when he was growing up. He knew, that if he were to stay in the open, he’d probably end up getting hurt.
So, with this feeling of being disoriented sinking in the blond had made his way to an odd house that looked much like a hive of sorts. Well, the way the house looked didn’t bother him all that much because this place was full of weird people and things. Arceus, knew how long he’d end up lasting here.
Now, here he was, stumbling around a home, which was in no way his, feeling completely lost, and to top it all off someone had heard him clumsily stumbling about their home. Great. This was just what he needed.
Stopping dead in his tracks, Blaise straightened himself up while he surveyed the area in search of the owner of that voice. Though, much to his dismay he saw no one. All he could do now was respond and hope for the best.
He parted his lips then to speak, his voice deciding to betray him and crack at the last minute. “Well, I was a little busy absorbing the fact that I’m not home, and panicking to notice the sign.”
She discerned the voice from somewhere to her right. A male, it seemed like, and just below the stairs. She began to descend, though not showing her face completely. As it would happen, she saw the situation as an opportunity for some good old-fashioned mischief and manipulation.
"So you realized you're not home. That's good, I wonder what ever could m8ke you come to that conclusion? Perhaps actually having some eyesight and using it? Speaking of which, let's talk a8out that."
A few more steps. Then she stopped, about halfway down. The spiraling staircase, hugging the wall, was sure to obscure her figure from the other, at least unless he was bold enough to approach her first. But if that was the case, he'd be exposing himself; a vulnerable target. A smirk graced her expression. For once, it seemed like her luck was actually in her favor.
"So. Tell me. How did you end up scampering a8out my hive like a little rat? Must 8e some story, if you came here of your own accord; this isn't the most hospita8le pl8ce around. Plus, the huge spider in the ravine just 8elow is sort of a turnoff for a lot of trolls."

Well, as I stated a8ove, I am not exactly Mindfang. Rather, I am her as she would have 8een had she grown up in a more lax environment than Alternia (namely, my home planet, 8eforus). And, if you’d take the time to read through my little synopsis a8out the dream8u88les and what I 8elieve the Game to really 8e, some of this would make more sense.
I appreciate that! I do try my 8est to 8e a good weaver of tales. However, this isn’t one I’ve merely made up. I’m quite certain it will take some convincing for you to 8elieve this though, so I’ll just let you experience it.
She scrolled back to the other's reply to find the link and click on it, to find that lying in wait for her is-surprise, surprise-yet another wall of text. She rolled her eyes in annoyance, skimming the first few sentences before ultimately giving up.

Man is he tired. He hasn't slept for days, now that he's got that new video game. He wanders around, unknown of where he is. He makes out a figure, with some kind of antlers on her head.
JOHN: hello? ... ugh my head!
Ugh his head! He has been having a large headache for the past couple of hours, and he falls to the ground holding his head.
Was this some kind of poorly-executed joke? It was what she suspected, at least; and yet on the other hand, the thing did have a definite lack of horns. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the situation, but decided to play along, for now.
She took a few steps in the thing's direction, nudging its head with her foot. "Right in front of my hive is not the ideal place to 8e sleeping! Unless, of course, you want to 8e spiderfood. In that case I'll gladly o8lige."

In this case, we’re talking about both the noun and second adjectival form of alternate. I’m going to assume that you also have no knowledge of other timelines, or of the Game. Now, the “Game” is a construct that chooses certain “Players” to 8ecome part of its mainframe. However, once the players enter the Game, the rest of their planet/universe is wiped out. The Game will then conduct its chosen mem8ers through a series of challenges, designed, I 8elieve, to whittle down the selection even further. At the end of the game is supposed to 8e a new Universe, one for its Players to live in (the ones that survived). However, those that didn’t survive will wake up in the afterlife the Game has provided; this is a holding area du88ed the dream8u88les. That’s where I live. (If you’d like more information on that, read my little explanation on it here.)
Another way that the players may depart from the living is if they do something the Game deems deleterious for their growth. Then the whole timeline of said players will 8e classified as Doomed. This means that everyone that they’ve known, interacted, and grown up with will, eventually, die. This means that no one will 8e left to finish the Game (to perpetuate the Universe’s goal). Are you familiar with the theory of Quantum Physics? I’ll just give you a short overview just in case. The 8asis of Quantum Physics (or at least the part pertaining to what I’m discussing) is that for every choice made, a multiplicity of different Universes split off for each additional option. Sort of surrogate Universes, so to speak. These Universes in turn split off, creating an infinite num8er of them.
Now, the reason this is applica8le is that that is the method the Game (aka the Universe(s)) applies. If a Player or group of Players chooses something that the game doesn’t ‘approve of’, then a new Universe will split off where that choice is not made. Of course, any minute decision could result in this, which means that there will 8e a verita8le plethora of alternate Universes, and therefore people. However, one will, in general, not interact with them unless and until one dies (or loses 8oth of one’s dreamselves), and su8sequently enters the dream8u88les.
While I am an alternate (technically we all are) I am not one of yours. I am actually the alternate of your descendant/ancestor, which is a discussion for an entirely different day. I assume you are familiar with Mindfang, your ancestor. I am, in a way, an alternate of her. I am how she would have 8een had she grown up in a different environment. Not nearly as cool, I know.
Anyways, I hope that was sufficient for now, even though really I only 8arely skimmed over most of the topics involved. I can give you a more detailed account, if you’d like!
