“Stay on the road!” (Summer - returnxtothexpastxnow)

Sarah frowned for a moment, briefly annoyed at the intrusion. Then she decided she take advantage of the scenario. Spinning on her heel, she gave Summer her wickedest sinister smile:

“I can’t stay on the road. I’ve got a Black Mass to attend in the center of these woods and the Master will be sad if I’m not on time.” Pulling the hood of her cloak down to reveal her face, “Would you like to come?” @returnxtothexpastxnow

Summer recognized the girl from their brief interaction in the woods a few days prior and she almost groaned that she had to come face to face with her again.

"Well that sounds utterly terrifying. I'll pass, thanks." She mumbled shaking her head as she watched the other carefully. She didn't trust her, probably rightfully so.

"Dark beasts lurk here. Be cautious." -Sarah, askspawnofsarah

“Dark beasts?” Summer questioned as she rose her eyebrow at the girl. She had walked around at night before and had never ran into any problems. Summer sighed a bit. 

“Just so we’re clear, do you mean other dark beasts or yourself?” Summer wasn’t trying to be rude. She just knew how some of the villain kids could be and it wasn’t totally out of character for one of them to mean themselves in this situation.

Sarah smirked, “There *are* dark creatures in the wood. And I *am* dark, but I’m no Beast.” She paused, assessing the other girl, “They say there are beings here who can rip your shadow from you. Admittedly, I’m more familiar with ripping souls. But either way...not really something you want to toy with.”

Summer straightened a bit at the idea of her shadow being ripped from her and she shook her head. "Yeah, definitely not." She mumbled, eyes darting around them a little nervously. She wasn't magic, not even really physically inclined, so she wasn't really going to be that great at defending herself from something like that.

Summer hummed as she looked over her assignment for her computer coding class. She already figured herself a prodigy thanks to her father so the class had been simple and the assignment even more so. Childs play, but the class was an easy A and she was glad to use it for her GPA.

Smiling, she sent the assignment in to her teachers drop box, and shut her computer back down. She needed a break from the computer, something her parents had to keep reminding her of. Her stomach rumbled and she figured that she should go grab some lunch from the cafeteria. Summer grabbed her purse and ran a brush through her hair before heading off.

Summer immediately got into line but it was apparent after 10 minutes that it wasn't moving. She tapped the shoulder in front of her and hummed. "What's going on? They run out of the special so someone's throwing a tantrum?" She joked, cocking her head to the side.

“I just want to...talk. Hmm. Yeah, that’s right. Talk.” -Kila

Summer had her laptop in front of her and at the sound of the other girl, she shut it, turning to the voice. “Talk? About what?” Summer asked, looking at the girl skeptically. She didn’t talk to many, mainly just her best friend Even, so someone wanting to talk to her was an interesting change.

Summer swayed her head a bit in thought. “Well, I suppose you could call me a hacker, I prefer technological gifted.” She shrugged with a small smile. “But why would a hacker interest you?” She asked, raising an eyebrow at her. Usually, someone looking for a hacker was only looking for trouble.

Summer had her laptop in front of her and at the sound of the other girl, she shut it, turning to the voice. “Talk? About what?” Summer asked, looking at the girl skeptically. She didn’t talk to many, mainly just her best friend Even, so someone wanting to talk to her was an interesting change.

“Yes. Destiny. This is the very proof of an origin that can only be described as inevitable. And now, at last, it is about to begin.” - Even

Summer looks up at Even and tilts her head, a small smile playing on her lips. “Oh, destiny is it? Just like destiny had it that we’ve been best friends since practically birth?” She smirked from her spot under the tree in the courtyard.
