Her slim digits traced patterns into his clothed shirt, something of comfort settling in her stomach. He was one of he few, she felt comfortable around, her teeth sinking into her bottom lip, at his words; she’d FORGOTTEN. “I..I actually forgot it,” fingers scratching at the nape of her neck, attempting to recall it. her dark hues still settled on him, “at least you’re home now,” she uttered, offering something of a reassuring squeeze to his arm; her head settling back against his shoulder. “anything I can do to make it BETTER?”

Nothing but a simple laugh erupted from his lips, it was rather amusing to him seeing how fast she’d forgotten the concept that she’d initially came here off of. Though, opting to NOT drag the conversation on much longer than desired, his lips found her head, pushing a peck onto her hair as the other soothing motioned made it far easier to relax into her. ❝ I don’t know. What did you have in mind? ❞

She didn’t like that he could figure her out, that her thickened armour had cracks around him. That he saw through her; like G L A S S . Her body turned into his as he planted himself, her head nestling on the crook of his shoulder. “I’m not lying,” she reassured –– well she was, but it wasn’t a topic she enjoyed. Her lips stretching to press a peck to his cheek, “that’s very true, this might not be ideal, but we don’t need to talk about anything, honest,” she hummed, sitting up slightly, a smile drawn on her lips, “why was your day rough?” concern etching her tone, she’d rather know if he was alright, he’d never snapped at her before so something must have happened.

It wasn’t always that he tried to go deeper than physical appearance with many; most of the time thinking of it as if what their apparel led off was as deep as their intentions. But with the few he was close with he didn’t mind going further, just to show some signs he CARED, which on it’s own was a foreign subject for him. ❝ Alright fine, you’re not lying. But, you’re still going to tell me what you initially planned to. ❞ there was simply no way he was going to let it go, even if it were something S I M P L E he’d press until he got EVERYTHING out of her. ❝ Just a long day of meetings, they DRAG me through broken glass in those things. ❞ he murmured, leaning into her plump lips as she kissed his cheek.

She didn’t talk about herself, it was almost a stubborn rule of her own. She didn’t want people to PITY her or see her differently; especially him. Her fingers fluttered through her hair, settling on in his hand, letting him take the other, “It’s fine–– I’m fine,” she reassured, forming something of a FORCED smile on her rosed lips. “I’m fine –– Just… don’t like upsetting people,” she brushed the words off easily, her fingers catching his chin with a small smile on contentment, she didn’t want him to worry or question it.

She had a TOUGH outer shell, he knew that. From the countless nights together, to the early morning gym sessions, she had perfected this facade that would have F O O L E D most men, except, he had one just like it. ❝ Don’t lie to me, I know when you’re lying. ❞ leaning in he pressed a gentle peck on the others forehead, before lifting himself up off the ground and onto the couch next to her, fingers unwinding prior to his arm wrapping around her physique, making it easier to pull her into his side. ❝ Tell me, or we’ll sit here ALL night. And we both know my beds A LOT more comfortable. ❞

She disliked confrontation and the only thing worse was when people got mad at her, she didn’t intentionally try to cause problems; especially if he was already in a unsettled mood. Her hues displayed her dubious notion, did he REALLY think she was someone else? It didn’t stop her from flinching slightly as his fingers caught her curled lengths. “N-no, honestly Reu, it’s not important,” she mumbled, her head still honing her hues on the tiled floor.

Guilt stricken to his C O R E, there was absolutely no way to justify his actions to her. She’s always been BEYOND kind to him in every aspect of their relationship that his RAGE had to become masked. Leaning down so he was crouched in front of her, his hand slides down the others side, connecting his hands with hers. ❝ Come on, you know I didn’t mean that... Talk to me, what’s got you all worried about ?? ❞ he etched, hoping to get more than just a sly eye.

His words caught the breath in her throat, she hadn’t meant to catch him on a bad day but she found the notion that someone had done such an absurd thing with poo quite bizarre. Her shoulders hunched and she pushed back from her seated position, brows furrowing at him for a moment, “I-– I’m sorry,” she murmurs, dipping her head like a dog being punished, “I…It doesn’t matter,”turning into her beer and taking a long swig.

When thrown off guard, or on edge it was nearly impossible to find him on good terms; The SLIGHTEST discomfort in his day usually did that to him. Though, he had an explosive nature by instinct he’d usually only BLOW up on the people who didn’t matter, and she wasn’t one of them. An exasperated sigh erupts, dropping all his belongings before making his way over to her, callused finger brushing over her dark brown locks. ❝ No, come on tell me. I’ve just had a long day and I thought you were someone else.❞

— Bellamy seemed angelical, which was almost poetic with her long flowing brown hair trailing down her back. She was a mystery wrapped up in one; it seemed people could never get close enough to know what lay behind the smile — engrossed in the art before her eyes, Bellamy blinks, her long eyelashes making her look fragile; but she was the complete opposite “What’s your opinion on this?” she mutters letting her blue orbs lift before they dropped back down to the art that was splattered across the walls. ‘’ I can’t decide if it’s completely brilliant or a complete waste of time…’’

The darkened night got the better of him most of the time, losing himself in thoughts that were probably better left untouched; Ideas and questions that he’d pressured out of his mind for as long as possible. But, in times like this where everything was in standstill silence they rushed back. Before she knew it, she could feel them against hers. It was brief but the sensation stayed with her moments longer. Her knees felt weak but she managed to stay up right. The second he moved away, she regretted not keeping him closer. Taking in a deep breath, her smile remained. Taking his tie off her neck, she returned to his. Hold onto either end, she questioned pulling him in closer again but opted to just letting it go. “That’s what friends are for.” A hint of sadness in her tone before turning around to grab the handle of the passenger door.

It’d been surreal, the kiss felt so real and unbelievable almost as if everything he’d had in the past was just two kids trying things out, though pulling away was hard he shortly realized how stupid he was for going in the first time. yet, when he felt her tug him back his body burned, wanting to connect their lips once more yet as she let him go, a hand rose brushing through his dark locks, entering into the vehicle from the opposing side. ❝ Right yeah, that’s what friends are for... ❞ had been up to him he’d turn in his seat, connecting their lips once again yet he’s simply turning the key, beginning to move the car in the opposing direction. ❝ Maybe dating just isn’t for me, seems like can’t EVER find the right girl. ❞

Allowing him to lead her to his car, she stepped a bit closer to the tall male. It felt so right with him, if only she could tell him her true feelings towards him. As he asked her what pizza they should get, her facial expression was so certain and her smile was small but clear she was holding back a bigger one. “Papa Johns, for sure.” Arriving at his car, she rested her butt against the passenger side door, with him now standing in front of her. Reaching out she slid his undone tie off his neck and wrapped it around her own as if it were a scarf. “Unless you prefer the Hut, than I guess that’s okay too.” She joked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Every inch of him wanted to turn right their and come clean, admit to how horribly he’d craved her to across from him on the opposing end of that table, how desperately he’d craved her to be there at every date, but he’d opted to push the thoughts clear from his mind. ❝ That’s ridiculous !! Why on earth does c l o t h i n g need an entire week to itself. ❞ An arm remained at waist level, while the other placed against his car. And how long before you leave again?” The sarcasm in her tone wasn’t really helping because it caused her to build emotions again about how things ended with the guy. “That’s really sweet, Ben. You, not wanting to cause trouble with me and my son. But it’s too late for that.” She took a step forward, moving closer to him to look the guy straight in the eyes. Just with the stare, she couldn’t help but feel water building in her eyes. “You know…how big of a deal it was to me, to introduce my son to a guy I care about. When you suddenly left, for an entire month, Sam has been asking when you’re visiting again or when you two can play again. Now that he saw you, how would you expect the boy to stop asking questions again?”

It wasn’t as if he hated the girl, or the idea of them talking again he simply hated the idea of all the drama that would rise with it. And, at first he was all for hearing her out, but soon after as a radiating pulse began to tick in his temples he couldn’t help but get annoyed. ❝ Look, I’m here to stay, and I mean it this time. ❞ He admitted, though partially due to the fact of Eloise being in town, he couldn’t mention that just yet. ❝ I never meant to hurt Sam, or you. When we started talking I was FAR too busy to really just settle down, and though i would have loved to there wasn’t a day I had to myself where I could fly down and spend it with him. I’ll come visit him, I’ll come play with him, the kids been through a lot and I don’t want to ruin anything for him. I live not too far from here, so you can drop him off if you don’t want to see me, but god just don’t pull the whole leaving card over and over again because i’ve heard that one too many times. ❞

Safiya wouldn’t have minded the huge change so much if the theme was something more normal. “So I guess my clients now want to see a Shrek themed wedding.” She shook her head as she let out a small chuckle. “Absolutely fantastic.” She quickly typed up a response to her client before setting her phone back on the table. “Sorry,” she apologized. “I promised no distractions.”
