Best of 2016

As I did in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010, here’s my little annual update. 2016 has been another busy year.  

I’ve spent more time creating video games and game assets, taking a few months off this year to focus solely on that. I took part in two gamejams, creating Shapeshifter Biker and Smallest Dungeon. Shapeshifter Biker made it into Rock Paper Shotgun’s Best Free Games of 2016 list, which was both unexpected and awesome, and results on the second one should be out soon.

I also continued working as a UX/UI Google Expert, crafting nice interfaces with startups and giving talks and classes about UX here and there.

In other news, I released a fifth album with my band, Uniform Motion, and went on a France/Germany tour. I got two new tattoos from amazing artists, got to see three of my favourite bands (PJ Harvey, Pixies and Flotation Toy Warning), went to the best dressed wedding ever, and spent hundreds of hours playing really amazing games. And recently I released an iOS Sticker Pack that did quite well as it reached the very top of the App Store charts in the US and most other big places.

I managed to find some time to escape in the wilderness a little, walking through a redwoods forest and hiking across a desert with my wife and kid. I’ll definitely try and do more of that in 2017.

As usual, I’ve drawn three new movies, video games and series I’ve liked in 2016. Can you guess which ones ?

I’m really excited about 2017, I’ve already got lots of great projects going on. I’ll try and take more time to show it all. I wish you all a really good year!
