AHH THANK YOU ANON! of course you can ask for my dear friend hope, here you go... im so sorry it took me so long i kept forgetting to check tumblr and kept forgetting to post it when i actually did draw it :(
as for his character, i love him a lot... i said sazh is my favorite male ff13 character but hope is definitely a close second, his grief and anger really spoke to me and i felt for him very strongly. also i think his mom is really attractive LOL
unfortunately i havent finished lr so i cant say everything about his dynamic with lightning but they are definitely my favorite for hope's relationships with the mcs, just the whole development in ff13 between the 2 makes me emotional. the way lightning's anger and rage affects this 14 year old boy and ends up dragging him into a blind quest of anger, and she ends up realizing what she is doing and having to take that away from him, and how he feels so betrayed in the process, its so good. a part of me wishes they went a lot more into how lightning affected him (especially in negative ways) during 13-2 but i do think 13-2 hope is fun. hope's dynamic with vanille also is a close second up there for me
id like to mention that i view lightning as transfem, and i actually do read hope as transfem from time to time as well and i think the way it impacts their dynamic in canon can be so interesting. unfortunately that will have to be for another post but i will leave you with this joke comic i made where i was enamored with the idea of a mid-transition lightning oddly resembling hope :)
also i recently started ff14 and id like to say that hope and alphinaud are lowkey soul siblings LOL
