All I am gonna say is this, until McLaren or Oscar makes a statement, everything else is just rage bait. Not gonna even comment on the two most stupid things I see written - that Oscar is leaving because he has been unhappy with McLaren since Monza and that he isn’t driving well so that he can activate his supposed exit clause. Also Max will never pull off papaya.
Well that was awful. I really hoped Silverstone would go better but I keep on forgetting it’s not 2025 and we can not expect this trash car to deliver. I guess what hurts more is that now even VCARB has caught up and McLaren might not even be in top 3 in WCC championship. Speaking of VCARB, they are now on my list for making it a mission to make Oscar’s life even harder this weekend. Unsafe near divebomb release by Arvid in quali and then a sandwich start where Oscar got damage, which Tom look forever to confirm and thus Oscar was really late to come in for a change.
Still I think it’s good that he managed to push this shit ass car to p11. Sucks not to get points but what can you do. Also I need to know what makes him catch zen so quickly after the race that he manages to come up with another hilarious post race instagram post.
Max said he ain’t superstitious but he feels like he ran over a cat this season. Well, think about it this way, last year Mercedes and Ferrari were in your position watching you battle with McLaren from their positions in p4 to p10. Now it’s their party. But hey, at least you are together in this suffering with papaya boys). Should have gone to Mercedes? Or maybe Vcarb?
I feel I need to address something that has been bothering me for quite sometime regarding comments about Oscar’s car by some fanbases and even some media.
It is incredibly awful that Lando’s car has issues every week and he is not able to show his best performance. It sucks immensely that being the current WDC he is in such a position that you wouldn’t wish on anyone. If it were Oscar, I would feel the same way. 100%. I am angry at McLaren either way because of the situation both of their drivers are in. One can’t have the opportunity to defend his title, the other one does not have the opportunity to start a new campaign for a title.
Guys, we are in the same papaya boat, like it or not. Saying things like “why is it always and only Lando’s car, why doesn’t anything happen to Oscar’s car” and “McLaren are now only backing Oscar” is just wrong and borderline insane. Ridiculous favoritism and sabotage accusations aside, essentially you are wishing for safety issues to another person just to get even. Look what almost happened in practice today. Some people have the nerve to call Oscar just lucky for not putting himself into the wall because sure, after 3,5 years in F1 he has developed no skills. Looking at you, sky f1, some experts you are.
And what’s with this growing narrative that when Lando has issues, it’s only the car. When it’s Oscar, it’s because he is slow, mid and can’t do anything without a rocketship. All the while every fucking weekend both drivers talk about McLaren being behind, having bad pace and various tech issues. And if Oscar does get a good performance, like in Austria, it’s not even mentioned because Lando couldn’t do much with his tapped up car. I don’t remember anyone saying the same things when Lando did well in Barcelona but Oscar didn’t. Yes, Lando’s tech issues list is way longer than Oscar’s but we don’t get everything reported about his car to say with a certainty he is 100% fine. He has been more vocal about it, remember his lottery brakes last weekend?
Anyway, fine if you want to promote this narrative that Oscar is still not over 2025 title loss and is overrated. But please do remember that two bad cars are not better than one. Because that means no data, no information for improvement of any kind. And also someone’s child is in that questionable vehicle going over 350 km/h for your entertainment.

I don’t know what to think anymore when it comes to special suits, liveries and helmets….none of these things make the car better. I know for sure one thing - I need a 10th race win for Oscar, badly.

Since Canada I have zero expectations and to see p4 today was actually quite thrilling. I see that people call this race boring but I think it’s because compared to chaos in Monaco and Lewis finally winning in a Ferrari in Barcelona this race was like a 6/10. Anyway, podiums for McLaren are a luxury these days, so p4 is like a huge win. Especially mentally. All I wished for this weekend for Oscar was to have a smile finally after a race. And he did 🥰 He clearly has done his homework after Barcelona, had a smart start (Max covering him off right away shows the goat knows my boy has cohones), looked pretty good out there today for the majority of the race. Overtook both Ferraris, which says a lot for the guys in a way better car. Yes, I know ppl will wave that 19-21 seconds gap and say how far he was in the end, but come on, this was like 15 laps to go. I am surprised a McLaren made it so far in this heat. Sweet dreams, Osc, you can be proud of today!

Oh McLaren, why do I even bother….you should not be scouting for new drivers, you should worry about keeping the ones you have. Sidebar, despite the shitty car, both guys are doing relatively well, especially mentally. I know Lando is probably only gonna leave McLaren in a coffin but I wouldn’t be surprised if he is also looking else, I mean I would. Oscar, you deserve so much more. Love.
Also isn’t it kinda cute that in Barcelona Fernando helped Lewis and now Max’s crash helps George. Oh the irony.

I said it before, I will say it again. McLaren is very lucky to have the driver duo they have. P3 for Oscar with brakes issues and some other, p7 for Lando who has spent most of the time in the garage because of issues as well (sorry, I am bad with tech details). Your boys are doing the best with the shit you built!
So really McLaren, what’s this I hear about secret talks with Max? Kicking out a driver who has done so much for you to win two WCC in a row and is an amazing team player it hurts his fans…. Also Max, shilo na mylo (as they say in my native language… basically go from on bad design to another) where do you get proof the car will be so much better than the one you are in right now….with the regulations unchanged.

Lando in his party-vegan era, Oscar creating 3 helmets for Silverstone because he doesn’t feel like winning this season, McLaren posting kindergarten content….yeah, clearly everyone decided to check out of 26 because the car isn’t gonna get better so we have time for this type of nonsense.
Having read that apparently some of the F1 big dudes are considering a spring in Monaco….makes so glad I am going away for the weekend and taking some much needed time off from work, life problems, tennis and racing. Logging off for 3 day. Wishing everyone a good weekend!
