How could the story change if the Winx were witches and the Trix were fairies?

um. I'll try. unfortunately the work world owns my butt so. I did start making up the rest of the season once I got around the mental obstacle of "cannot continue until you finish the current chapter". now I just have to get over the mental obstacle of "must finish the current chapter in full-form before publishing everything".

Something I wish happened in the first three seasons of WC... I wanted them to show my more of the homelands of the Winx. They showed an excessive amount of Domino, to the point where it got annoying, and we did get a fair amount of Andros and Solaria. I wish they showed a lot more of Lymphaea, Zenith and Melody, bc these three planets are the most interesting. Especially Melody's architecture style

indeed.  and for a magical show, I feel like we spent a surprising amount of time on Earth.  like, season 4 they were on a mission.  that’s fine.  but why did they keep going back?  and why was Selina from Earth when magic supposedly disappeared in the Middle Ages (?) due to the Wizards of the Black Circle?  so many questions that will never be answered... I guess it’s up to the fans to do their best to make things right

Who is your favourite Winx

And are you planning to make the story less Bloom-centric and focus on the other Winx as well?

my favorite Winx?  I’ve always had a soft spot for Flora and Stella, with Flora just slightly higher due to her canon personality being less grating to me.

as for the story, it will be locked into Bloom’s POV, but I’m hoping to keep it focused less internally that it was in canon.  Bloom can’t do things alone because it’s not safe for her.  she’s completely foreign AND a witch.  she and her friends can’t afford to get into petty fights because it’s them against the world.  and Bloom’s quickest and safest way to learn about the strange world around her is through her friends’ life experiences.  her bond with Stella I hope is something that I can build well, since this Stella is also much less internally focused.

if you want more, you’ll probably just have to drop me asks since I’m not looking like I’ll be writing full blown anything anytime soon.  at best you might get an outline of season 1 eventually.  I haven’t prepared butterfly effect past that.

nah, I just got finished with a release from a project at work and suddenly have much more downtime since we’re not in hectic cram mode.

anyhow, I lack confidence in drawing specifically non-cis-femme characters so have some guys + Helia (who is ambiguously gendered/non-binary in this AU).

what other notes can I give? hm...

- I have no love for Sky

- Brandon’s not my type but he’s pretty chill and I think he’d be my friend

- Nabu deserved better

- Helia is my fave, this beautiful art child with lovely hair

- I feel bad for not liking Timmy more, I should find a way to give him character development

- Riven... you know I’m probably just not going to refer to the show at all for his personality since it’s so all over the place.  let him be a troubled boy who develops into a good character through the power of friendship (not necessarily romance)

Since drawing during webex meetings is easier than writing, looks like this is the prime way I can get my creative juices flowing.  I guess I now entertain the notion of requests surrounding this AU?

Well there are people who wanted mirta to be part of the winx club. If Lucy is still a witch in this au(which i personally prefer) then she could interact with the winx more. You could also show off Lucy's power over bugs more the og series more or less brushed over lucys powers. Interesting that she can also turn into a snake.

the more I think about it/scroll through past suggestions people have given me to refresh my memory, the more I like it!

An opinion, but I really don't think you should kill Nabu. It was for dramatics only and added nothing to the story except giving Aisha, a down-to-earth, pragmatic girl, a love triangle, which I feel she would never get caught up in. Plus, Nabu was perfect for her; kind of the calm to her crazy energy, the person who helps her calm tf down sometimes.

@emsartwork has a really good witch hierarchy and ideas for what the winx would be; they're not transformations, mostly just different jobs based on ur powers and preferences and I think it would be rlly cool to integrate it into the reverse-winx au. ofc that's just my opinion... ily!

Do you have tips/advice for someone who want to write a Winx story/project?

there’s a whole universe with many holes in it so have fun and have at it! if you want more sources than just the show, there are comics too, which I’m sure are findable in the depths of the internet. what else? take it as seriously or not as you’d like, it’s your work and never forget you’re doing this for fun. also, if you want more ideas, open up to the audience because they’ve got lots of ideas!

personally, the musa/tecna/timmy/riven dynamic is always something thats intrigued me, bc no matter how you cut it the dynamics are great. also it implies that musa has a type (tall n red/pink/ginger haired) which I find hilarious

I definitely think that you should have Nabu not die. It was played for drama and did nothing to the plot except drag Aisha, a down-to-earth girl, into a pointless love triangle, and she never even dealt with her trauma! Not sure if I've sent this before, but just making sure.

no I definitely agree; Nabu is not in mortal danger while I’m around.  there might be whump and suffering, trials and tribulations, but he and Aisha will pull through if I have anything to say about it

Question about relationships

Something I’ve been debating is how to do relationships in this AU.  Based on my archive, apparently at one point I was thinking about keeping the canon pairings but shaping them up a bit. However, now I’m considering non-canon ones to spice things up.  The only relationship that I’m set on is pan!Flora and non-binary!Helia (though I’m not against adding others for a poly relationship).

Some ideas I’m toying with are:

Stella/Bloom - maybe while Bloom takes a break from Sky after she discovers he’s engaged to Diaspro and has been cheating?

Musa/Tecna - with perhaps the future addition of Riven?

Darcy/Riven - this could swing as either a fairly healthy or extremely toxic relationship depending on plot needs or plot aftermath

Nabu/Riven - in season 4 they seemed to have a solid relationship that I wouldn’t mind building on; also the nobility/commoner in a different light than Bloom and Sky could be interesting

If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
