amemenojaku:
she loves it so much
boundlessviolet:
It was quite the sight, the infamous troublemaking amanojaku Seija Kijin down for the count, if only momentarily. Had the instance lasted long enough Yukari might have taken the opportunity to laugh; instead the smile upon her face widens noticeably, showing a bit of perfectly normal, white teeth.
<<You ‘borrow’ in the fashion of a certain human I know – perhaps you two have met? I think she may have defeated you at one point or another, I’m not sure.>>
The parasol twists in her hands, silken fabric contorting beneath her grip. <<Ufufu… To simply get another, as you say, would be impossible – it was a gift from a dear friend who is no longer alive.>> There is but a fraction of truth in this feigned admission, but the look on Yukari’s face gives away nothing yet. <<Do you propose I summon her spirit from where it rests to this dreadful city simply so she can gift me another parasol equal in worth to this one so that you might have the original?>>
“Probably, I don’t keep tracks of my wins and losses. It’s in the past now and doesn’t matter.” It would have only made her feel worse if her plans did succeed only for her to end up here. So for now, she was actually glad she lost those battles.
“Well.. I mean if you could do that, that would be great. We both win that way, I get the parasol I need. And you get to meet your dead friend, that’s a win win isn’t it? You also get a new parasol too, that should be nice for you!”
Clearly, sensitivity wasn’t a page in her book. Her feelings of attachment to it and those of her late friend didn’t matter to her either. If it was what had to be done to get that parasol from her, then so be it. She’ll work out all those minor details later.
deltaofdeath:
The firecracker caught him off guard. His knee-jerk reaction was to freeze it.. which was exactly what he did. The lump of ice fell to the floor without damaging the demon at all, not that it could have even if it had hit him, but he didn’t know that.
“W-what is your problem? There’s playing dirty, and then there’s actually messed up! I can do bad stuff too, but you don’t see me hiding under the water to drag the swimmers to the bottom of the ocean!”
For such a small demon, Emizel could make a lot of noise.
Amidst his mild panic attack about the dud bomb flying his way, Seija took to the air and backpedaled away a bit. Laughing hysterically at his reaction, any harder and she wouldn’t be able to breath.
“Oh ho ho, THAT was good. Don’t you know if you actually attack people here you get kicked off the beach. Did you really think I was gonna throw a live firecracker at you? No way! I still have more havoc to wreak!”
astralmagicking:
“But didn’t I STILL stop you eh? You talk the good shit but I still fought you off didn’t I? You got bored? In my ears it sound like a sore loser trying to find excuses.”
“But it doesn’t matter now, even if I did win. Everything would have got fixed up and I would of lost anything I got. You saved me that headache. Off to bigger and better plans now.”
toucanpecan:
I like Seija because she doesn’t give a sh*t. I wish I can give as little sh*ts as she can, but that’s just wishful thinking.
“Still good enough to flip small losers!”

“Grr, you’ve got some nerve!”
Emizel would have to step up his game if he wanted to even have a chance at enjoying his time at the beach. The colorful firecracker caught the boy’s eye as the girl in front of him pulled it out from wherever she hid it. This girl must have been professionally trained in being a jerk, because he hadn’t even thought of bringing anything but the usual to the beach.
“Okay, fine! If you wanna play dirty, I’ll play dirty.” With a flick of his wrist, Emizel sent a weak but concentrated beam of wind across the sand, tearing down a line of sandcastles across the beach, being very careful to avoid hitting as many people as possible. It wouldn’t be any fun getting thrown out of the area immediately, after all. “Oh hey… Now that I think about it, I bet I could just go after everyone’s kites…”
It would be very easy to consider her a professional jerk. Ruining everyones day was her speciality. And it was all something she revelled in. She was even a wanted fugitive back in her homeworld. Everyone tried to catch her, but no one could of course. She was far too skilled to ever be caught.
“Oh, that was a nice trick. But what was the point of doing that? You can’t even see the look on their faces after doing that. For all they know, it could have just been a vicious gust of wind. Not even knowing it was you.” If your going to do a pointless crime, might as well take credit for it. Performing a quick sleight of hand, now with a firecracker in each hand.
“You know, there probably isn’t enough room for two of us here. Hey! Think fast!” Tossing one of the firecrackers right into his face. This one was a dud, but he wouldn’t know that.

“W-What did you do? What did you do?!”
Emizel stood before the carnage, powerless to do anything to reverse the damage that the girl just caused. That castle took two hours to build, each detail formed lovingly by hand, and it was gone just like that.
“Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for this kid to finish building the castle so I could knock it down? What the hell? What happened to ‘dibs’? I even had something cool to say as I knocked it down.”
Said kid whose castle was just kicked was now running away crying. Hopefully the little fella wasn’t running to get someone in a position of authority.
“Ha! You snooze you lose kid. ‘Dibs’ doesn’t mean anything to me. I do whatever I want when I want too.” Rising to her feet, reveal part of a pillar that still remained from her impact. Noticing it, she casually kicked it down. Destroying the last hope he had of getting in on this castle’s destruction.
“Your going to have to be quick if you want to knock all these castles down, and just kicking all of them down would be boring.” Pulling a firecracker from her pocket. “You have to spice it up a little bit...” Now to find the next target, this beach was large and crowded enough. There has to be another impressive sandcastle somewhere.
Everyone was just having way too much fun. Sure, it was a nice change of pace from what everyone was dealing with before. But as expected, Seija wasn’t fond of any of it. Paradise needed a little trouble, and she will be the one to bring that trouble with a smile on her face.
Scanning the beach for her first victim, eventually setting her sights on a very impressive sandcastle. Running as fast as she could until she was at a suitable range. Leaping into the air to perform a drop kick, with a perfect landing on top of the castle. Absolutely destroying it.
“Haha! Looks like our going to have to make a new one!”
And here Yukari was, thinking today would consist of little more than a stroll about the city – though filled with mischief and mayhem aplenty, she’s found herself growing accustomed to the citizens’ particular brand of troublemaking, and it’s (mostly) tolerable, if not amusing.
She feels the tug on her parasol, violet gaze flitting upward to assess who had decided to provide her with some amusement today; the face she sees, upside and hovering over her head, is quite familiar.
<<Amanojaku-san… how forward of you.>> The youkai of boundaries smiles pleasantly up at the girl, then pulls down hard on the umbrella in an attempt to yank her down with it.
<<Did you come to ‘borrow’ the genuine article? I’m sure that toy of yours must have been quite fun, wasn’t it?>>
Of course, Seija didn’t have the strength to even follow through with her plan. Trying with all her might to win the object. Only to be pulled back down with a simple tug, falling out of her spot in the air right before Yukari. Quickly springing to her feet to confront the youkai.
“Yeah, I’ve come to ‘borrow’ that parasol of yours. It’s not like you really need one here anyways. You can just get another, they aren’t that hard to find.”
Already trying to negotiate with her. Not wanting to give her the chance to try to deceive her. Being manipulated was the last thing she wanted to happen. As long as she stayed on top of her that shouldn’t be a problem.
“AWW that cute. Tough talk from the one who ran away after the fight you started AND lost. What your going to do? Flip my sense of direction again?”
“I got bored. Your power was pretty damn lame. If that was all you could do then I didn’t have to worry about you doing anything to stop me.”
fitful nightmare
Mikoto just needed another pack of smokes. That’s all he asked for; and that’s all he needed. He didn’t really need help finding his way around the city; it seemed fairly similar to where he came from, though obviously the names were very different. Didn’t seem to stop this girl from trying to chat him up and give him the grand tour or whatever, though.
“No. I’m just out gettin’ a pack of cigarettes. Why, you want some or somethin’?” Mikoto replied gruffly, before realizing that he really shouldn’t have said that last bit. Great, now she was gonna say yes and follow him around and stuff. Only Anna was allowed to do that; everyone else could pretty much go blow themselves if they tried to follow him. He was definitely not the best with people.
Helping others was something Seija rarely did. If she was helping anyone, it was so she could gain something from them. And her targets were normally more then willing to accept the aid. Getting turned down was something completely new, which annoyed her quite a bit.
“If I wanted anything, I would have just taken it.” Snapping back at him. Playing nice was difficult, but it really would have been the only way to get any sort of allies. “So you want a pack of cigarettes, we’ll get you a pack then. Can’t be that hard to find.”
