To everyone just finding me here, I moved this muse over to
@immortalpath
And seriously forgot to update that here!! My bad |D’
There's a wild binghe showing up at your door with a pink apron and a box of handmade sweets, sqq. "Shizun!" exclaimed the half demon, a bright smile on his face- he seemed rather excited about today. "This disciple made you something."
Hold up a minute--!
What was today, exactly?
He stares over Binghe who apparently came all this way in a pink frilly apron. Okay, it wasn’t that far - it was really just to Shen Qingqiu’s room - but any distance seemed too far in that ridiculous outfit.
Wait. It was that day! The day he often tries to forget because out of all his Valentine’s Day dates so few were what anyone could consider to be ‘successful’! It was no secret Shen Yuan was terrible with romantic things!
But how did Binghe find out?
There was only one suspect: the only other person who transmigrated from their world. Damn you, Airplane Shooting Toward the Sky!
After another look (actually, he can’t help but stare as his fan slowly creeps up his face to hide the blushing), it’s really not a bad appearance. If a cute girl -- ah, he can’t even hide how fast his heart is beating. It’s really too cute!
“Aha... you did? What is the occasion?” He’ll just play dumb, it’s the easiest way to survive this day. “Come in then, I was just about to have tea.”
binghes:
Luo Binghe blinked once he felt the other’s hand upon his head, tilting his head back so that he could get an even better look at Shen QingQiu’s face. Honestly, he was confused at first, but if it was what shizun wanted.. Who was he to defy that? Casting his gaze away, he backed up away once again but only to finally stand up, a hand was raised up to rub the back of his neck.
A small nod to show that he understood, onyx eyes ended up gazing at his feet for a moment. How.. odd. This headache he had given himself for taking back control still hadn’t died down. Eyebrows furrowing, the half demon took another step- finding himself closer to the wall than he thought.
Fingertips would be lightly pressed against the wooden wall and his hand that had been previously at his neck now had raised up to lean against the side of his head.
What was happening..?
“Mmn.. Shizun, I don’t feel too well..”
No arguments? He would give Binghe a lecture on being a bit more stubborn if he hadn’t recalled what Binghe had been like in the past. Being too forthright had certainly been a bit dangerous for Shen Qingqiu.
However when his disciple grimaced and leaned against the wall in obvious distress he found himself stiffening. Was it happening again so quickly? He quickly sized up the situation before coming to his first conclusion.
In a hurry he tore sword and sheathe from Binghe’s side and tossed it across the room. It was the first , most likely suspect of things that could cause his disciple to grow so violent and he truly didn’t know what he’d do if Binghe kept swapping between the two personas.
If he could access the system he’d see about deleting that damn sword from existence! Or at least look into its stats so he could properly seal it!
Grabbing Binghe by both shoulders he shakes him and stares. “Binghe! Don’t give in to it...! Are you okay in there?”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」Once he heard the other call out his name, then felt arms being wrapped around him, Binghe looked over, a puzzled look on his face for a moment. It didn’t seem like Shen QingQiu was mad at him, though. That was good.. right? Blinking twice, he shifted to sit properly, hands lifting up from the floor before he hesitated about wrapping his arms around the other’s waist for a moment.
It wouldn’t take long before the half demon found himself burying his face against the shorter man’s shoulder. For falling under the heart devil sword’s side effects, he sure felt like he betrayed Shen QingQiu- or something close to that. He was upset at himself and wouldn’t blame the other for hitting him, if he decided to do so again.
He sure felt like he deserved it, too.
“This disciple is grateful that Shizun believed in him,” he paused, closing his eyes. “But this disciple is also upset for that he could have hurt Shizun..” he trailed off, falling silent for a moment. Pulling himself away, he then looked up to Shen QingQiu’s face, eyebrows lowered down.
“And for that, this disciple will sleep on the couch for a week.”
Shen QingQiu frowns softly. What exactly had happened to change Binghe so drastically? As his disciple pulled away in shame, Shen QingQiu reached after him for a moment before remembering himself. Looking too needy was certainly not in his character.
Drawing a deep breath he straightens his back and places a reassuring hand on Binghe’s head.
“Given the circumstances I would be more comfortable if I were able to keep an eye on you.” Mostly out of concern and perhaps a bit of fear for Binghe’s safety but also so he could figure out what had caused the switch in the first place.
“Your punishment shall be to stay within my line of sight at all times. Understood? That means no sleeping on the couch.”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」And here he thought he would have to shove the other back down, but seeing how easily he gave up on that, it pleased Luo Binghe. Or at least, it pleased him enough until he felt a headache creep up the back of his skull. How.. Unfortunate. If it wasn’t for the force of it, he would have tried to ignore it but it caused the half demon withdraw his hands before backing off fully. The sword at his side seemed to be rather unhappy about it, lightly vibrating in its sheath- what exactly was going on?
One hand pressed against the side of his head as eyelids had been squeezed shut, the other was used to support himself- at least, as much as he could, else he would find himself laying on the floor. I can’t, he thought, I can’t let this happen. Fingertips would be pressed against the wooden floor while Luo Binghe held the side of his head firmly. Did he do all of this? He felt like he couldn’t dare take a single glance back to the other.
“…Shizun..” He managed to speak out, his tone much more softer than before. Lowering his hand from his head, eyelids parted slightly, letting black eyes gaze at the floor for a moment before they tried to look over- avoiding eye contact. To think that he had let the Heart Devil sword take control of him- off guard, too- was something that he wouldn’t forget easily, nor would he forgive himself for it, either. He didn’t dare think about what could have happened if he hadn’t managed to finally take back the reigns.
“This disciple.. is sorry.” Luo Binghe almost whispered as he turned his head to look away, seemingly ashamed of himself.
As he had been trying to work out if this lifetime had truly been one well lived and if this was a death he could accept, the pressure on his chest and neck lifted and he felt himself able to breathe freely again.
It came out first in a sharp breath and then gasping for air as he sat up beneath Binghe with little mind paid to if his disciple would shove him back down or not.
Then Binghe spoke and the tone was soft, hurt.
So he had been right to not run away and to stay here at his side! Had it been because he’d needed to leave for business that Binghe had somehow changed? It didn’t make sense and it didn’t really matter at the moment - shedding his composed nature once more he flung himself forward and wrapped his arms around the half demon once more.
“Binghe!”
A quick cough as he realized how ridiculous this action was and he quietly withdrew one arm, snapping the fan open between them to force a composed look once more. “That is to say... ah, I knew you were still in there...”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」Perhaps, he should have pinned the other down so that he wouldn’t be able to move but it was a bit too late for him to readjust to that. Another noise left Luo Binghe’s throat once Shen QingQiu kneed him between the legs once again, eyelids squeezed shut for a few seconds and one hand would move to force the other’s leg down- only to be interrupted by the sudden headbutt connecting his with his forehead.
A low hiss left the half demon’s throat, shaking his head before his other hand went to grab the other by the throat. He wouldn’t let this distract him or try to push him off, instead opting for pressing his own body against the shorter man’s, stopping him from being able to move. Luo Binghe would dig his nail into the skin of the other’s neck lightly.
“Perhaps I should just kill you right here, right now!” He spoke, almost shouting those words at Shen QingQiu’s face as he pressed his nails harder against his neck. And to think that he had spared one thought about letting him go so that he could capture him again later on.. It didn’t seem like he would be doing that anymore!
But there was a single flaw with the current events, he wasn’t trying to choke the other.. yet.
Oh... shit.
He had been hoping that might be enough to make Binghe roll off of him. Pinned down like this Shen QingQiu could only attempt to struggle free so he could get one good blast of energy at the demon and knock him away.
When that failed he simply laid back, staring up to meet the demon lord’s eyes with as calm an expression he could muster despite his racing heart.
“Binghe... is this what you want?” He didn’t want to die here, moreover he didn’t want Binghe to have to live with killing him. Even if Binghe thought he wanted this, Shen QingQiu felt he knew better.
“F-fine. I said I would stay at your side, didn’t I? Then do what you want.”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」Seeing the other soon stand up from where he had tossed him and stomp over, Luo Binghe remained on guard- that is, until the hit upon his forehead, causing him to flinch a little, lowering his guard just enough for Shen QingQiu to successfully knee him in the groin. A somewhat startled noise left the half demon’s throat as he bent down a little, a hand pressing against his thigh as he took a step back.
How dare he..!
That had been the last straw. He was going to let it slide but this man decided to not cooperate properly, further fueling Luo Binghe’s anger and hatred. While part of him was protesting against all of this, the half demon didn’t seem to care much about it. “You..” He hissed, lifting his head enough so that he could gaze up to the other’s face, red eyes glowing menacingly. The hand that had been pressed against his thigh gripped at the fabric of his pants as Luo Binghe took another step back.
Enough was enough.
Without another word, he pounced forward, tackling the other down and pinning him onto the floor.
So his dick really doesn’t have plot armor?
What kind of writer doesn’t protect his protagonist’s precious plot device?
Well, never mind. It works to his advantage! Those menacing red eyes cause Shen QingQiu to flinch and fail to roll away before he was tossed back to the ground. Even times before when he’d been surprised or panicked beneath Binghe he had never been quite this afraid.
Fuck it.
The half demon wasn’t smart enough to guard himself properly and Shen QingQiu took advantage of it, swiftly kneeing Binghe between the legs again. It hurt to be so mean to his loved one but he imagined it would be more painful to Binghe if he realized he hurt his shizun.
Why was he still expecting him to turn back to normal? What even was normal?
Either way he followed up the knee with a headbutt.
“Me!? Aren’t you the one being rough first!?”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」Red eyes gazed down at Shen QingQiu as he spoke, eyebrows furrowed down in a frown. Though the feeling of the arm against him and how suddenly something was pressed against his chin– causing him to tilt his head back slightly– sure wasn’t enjoyable. A huff left his lips before he shifted. Without a word, it didn’t take long until Luo Binghe decided to pick the other up- and bridal style on top of that, too. While he wouldn’t mind tormenting the shorter man here, he preferred to move to a place where they was no way they would get disturbed.
Not that anyone would..
Even if Shen QingQiu would try to protest or try to get the half demon to drop him, he wouldn’t. But a few minutes later and Binghe had found his destination, kicking the door open with ease before throwing the other upon the couch that was inside the room. Well, at least there was that and not nothing at all.. Closing the door behind him, Luo Binghe would turn around before stepping over- only to stop a few feet away. The air surrounding the half demon had became heavy with demonic power.
Being swept up like this is an absolutely unfair attack! Unsure if he’d pissed the demon lord off beyond reproach or what exactly had just happened, he deftly hid his expression behind his fan once more. No matter how it happened being carried like a maiden still didn’t suit him
With an audible ‘oof’ and a mental string of cursing, Shen QingQiu unceremoniously lands on the couch. Immediately he sits upright and snaps his fan shut. First of all, how dare Binghe think tossing him around like a sack of turnips was the right thing to do!?
Certainly the half demon’s aura was intimidating but every man had a limit and to Shen Yuan, losing the love he had finally accepted was leaps and bounds past it. If they were going to do this, it wasn’t going to be on this demonic Binghe’s terms.
Entirely losing his graceful facade he stomps over and simultaneously smacks Binghe on the forehead with his closed fan while kneeing him in the groin. Heaven help him, with all this stress his behaviour was anything but consistent!
“Is that how you treat your shizun!?” He barks, “In all my time knowing you Binghe you have always treated this shizun with more respect than to throw him about!”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」The fact that the other so suddenly wound up trembling beneath his touch was something that Luo Binghe had wanted to happen. Though.. He did not expect the other to raise his voice as well as hit him, too. A growl left the half demon’s throat and his grip upon Shen QingQiu became even more tight- nails digging into fabric and skin. It seemed that what the other had done had simply been enough to anger Luo Binghe..
“Do I have to repeat myself?” He snarled, “I’ve made myself clear.” The black clothed man would then lower his hand from Shen QingQiu’s face, returning it to his waist. If it hadn’t been for the fact that he wanted to make the other feel miserable, he would already have pulled his sword out. But instead, he would play the patience game. He would get what he wanted and there was nothing that would stop him.
At least, he thought.
“Keep yelling about that and I swear, I will cut that tongue of yours off.”
Not being dead yet could be considered a small success on Shen Yuan’s part. It was very possible that he was being toyed with but as he had planned to hug the black protagonist’s leg from the very start now felt like a good time to continue that path.
If he was persistent, maybe whatever this New Game+ difficulty setting that had suddenly appeared could be conquered as well.
Furthermore, he wanted to avoid as little damage to his body as possible! He knew the deranged Binghe before him was perfectly capable of removing limbs, far worse than just his tongue!
System? Are you still gone?
【The System provides comprehensive 24-hour --.】
DON’T BULLSHIT ME! WHERE WERE YOU A MINUTE AGO!? This hypocritical system... Anyway! Is this Luo Binghe currently back to the original version?
【The System provides comprehensive 24-hour --.】
You already said that! Please answer the question!
【The System provides comprehensive 24-hour --.】
What a useless piece of... well, he’d have to wait until it reset itself. If it reset itself.
Fine. He nods a defiant nod, one that sees him staring up at the demon lord in blatant frustration. He would get to the bottom of this. Even with a different backstory they are still the same person and must have some similar points somewhere!
“I understand.” No he doesn’t. “I’ll stop asking. In the end, Binghe is Binghe and if he is not here...” Taking a deep breath and feigning an odd sort of confidence he moves his arm against Luo Binghe’s body and presses his the edge of the folded fan up to the other man’s chin.
Inside he’s still dying at pulling such a shameless, flirtatious move but if Binghe exists in there at all this would please him, right!?
“Then your shizun will remain at your side until he finds him.”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」If there was one thing that Luo Binghe didn’t expect, it was the other so suddenly jumping forward and wrapping his arms over his shoulders. And the feeling of lips pressed against his own caused the half demon to freeze for a moment, a bit stunned by it. Blinking twice, it didn’t take long before his eyes gained a faint crimson glow to them. His twisted smile fell, leaving place for a frown as he gazed down into Shen QingQiu’s eyes coldly.
There was nothing but hostility in those eyes of his.
Did this man think that it would be enough to stop him?
A low growl left Luo Binghe’s throat as his hand dropped from the other’s chin, only for his arms to find their way around the shorter man’s waist, soon pulling him closer. His hold was tight as he leaned forward, his forehead leaning against Shen QingQiu’s. Perhaps.. he could toy with him for a bit.. After all, it didn’t seem like the other had any plan to try to escape his grasp..
And if he did, it wasn’t like he would let him go so easily.
“Forgotten what? Hm~?” Those words were almost purred out. “I haven’t forgotten anything, Shizun…” His voice dropped to a whisper as he lifted his head slightly, their faces barely a few centimeters apart. Luo Binghe would move one of his arms away from Shen QingQiu’s waist, hand raising up to cup his cheek, the same twisted smile as before coming back upon his lips.
“Hah.. However.. Who ever you are trying to call out to isn’t here. It’s me.. And me only.”
Fuck! Shit! System, what the hell! Can’t we reload an old save file!?
What can be done if that didn’t wake Binghe up from this nightmare!
Shen QingQiu stared up at those cold, hostile eyes and all at once felt a sinking feeling of loneliness. No matter how many friends he’d made in this world it had been those moments of finally coming to understand Luo Binghe and returning to comforting him as he always had that had made it all worthwhile.
There was more meaning to this story than fixing the plot holes and ending--
--BUT WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT PLOT DEVICE WAS THIS!?
He would sooner commit a million more stupid plot device ‘magic moon flower of the ninth winter’ type plants to his memory than deal with whatever had suddenly happened to his- his...
Finally he begins to tremble slightly beneath Binghe’s touch.
Where is HIS Binghe!?
“If you aren’t him, where did he go!?” In frustration he pounds a fist against Binghe’s chest twice, glaring up at him. He’d had enough of this sort of stupid plot twist! The change of target audience had been bad enough initially (even if he had finally adjusted to it)! “Where did my Luo Binghe go!? If he’s not inside you then where is he!?”
binghes:
「 ✥ 」Oh, so he dared to look at him in the eye now. Good. That was what he wanted to see. A twisted smile finally showed itself upon the half demon’s lips as he remained silent, listening to the other’s words. Was he trying to get forgiveness? To put it on another’s back? Luo Binghe almost laughed- the sound being silenced in his throat before it could reach his mouth. Pathetic, he thought, until Shen QingQiu’s next words. An eyebrow barely raising up, the man tilted his head to the side just slightly, those red eyes of his still gazing down coldly at the other.
A dream..
This wasn’t a dream.
“Hm..? What makes you think so?” He paused in his words before taking even more slow steps forward, fully closing in the distance between the two. Though if the other thought of running away, it wouldn’t be the wisest choice. “This isn’t the dreamscape, Shizun.” He added after a moment, a hand reaching forward, trailing the side of his index finger under Shen QingQiu’s chin before grabbing it, his grip tight.
“It wouldn’t be fun otherwise..”
With the system not responding and his face in the grasp of someone very dangerous, Shen QingQiu could not be sure what exactly had happened. Had he transmigrated again? Perhaps for some reason there was a system error and his Binghe was overwritten with the original? How could he live if that were the case!
Mind racing he could only think of one thing to do. It was bold but if he was going to die anyways then he might as well die like a man.
Or a very distressed and heartbroken maiden.
Was there a difference anymore?
With Binghe in his reach he jumped forward and wrapped his arms over the man’s shoulders, quickly pressing their lips together. If his Binghe existed beneath all this, let him wake up! If not, then let him die here and now!
He winces at the pain this motion causes him within the demon’s grasp but he doesn’t care. Nose to nose he stares him down, heart pounding in his chest.
“Binghe... if you are in there at all, your Shizun is still here waiting for you!” If it wasn’t a dream, if something had happened... then he had to force things back to normal! “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten everything!”
@binghes from [x]
「 ✥ 」He was tired. So, so tired. But he couldn’t rest- he had to keep going. And just when he thought about actually stopping, the half demon had spotted a rather familiar person, his expression brightening somewhat before he hurried over. As he called out to them, it didn’t take long before he stopped in his tracks just from the stare he received. Confusion was clear upon Luo Binghe’s face as he gazed at Shen Qingqiu. This cold gaze.. This was not normal. Did he do something wrong? He didn’t know.
He quickly snapped out of his thoughts once he heard the fan snapping shut, onyx eyes gazing to the other’s face, eyebrows furrowing for a moment. What caught Luo Binghe off guard was the words his shizun spoke- Did he.. Did he call him a beast? Blinking twice, the black clothed man tilted his head to the side, unsure of what the other meant by that. Wasn’t he supposed to come back here like he told him to? Did Shen Qingqiu change plans and didn’t try to tell him?
If he did.. why did he not try to tell him?
“Ah.. But Shizun..! Didn’t you tell me to come back here when I was done?” He dared to ask. After how he was called, Luo Binghe had a small suspicion but didn’t want to act on it.At least, not now.
“I recall no such thing.” Why was Luo Binghe looking at him with such a perplexed, innocent expression? Disgusting.
Shen Jiu had no love for demons, especially not the one who had gone so far as to destroy his sect and tear apart all of his hard work. How was any of it his own fault? Pride and arrogance were necessary to avoid being hurt in this world, and Shen Jiu had suffered his fair share enough.
Never mind having to suffer raising up an unstable half-demon bastard. That was also a stain to his name.
“Luo Binghe... why not continue standing there?” If he was going to act this way, confused like a lost child then this Shen QingQiu would do what he neglected to when he first kicked the child into the abyss -- make sure he was dead first! He approached softly with the coldest of smiles as he drew his sword.
The one that had caused him so much suffering... he’d cut him down here and now!
@revivalsystem | Continued from here.
「 ✥ 」Cold red eyes would find themselves glaring over to the ‘familiar’ person. The way they held themselves, the way they spoke and how they called out his name.. it was so different from back then. If there was one thing that he knew- it was that this man seemed to be afraid of him. Good.. But it wasn’t giving Luo BingHe any satisfaction. Why? The Shen QingQiu he knew wouldn’t look at him like this one was doing. No. He would look at him bitterly.
But part of him preferred this.
Tilting his head back, the black clothed man would remain where he was standing still, until he finally took a few slow steps forward, hand on the hilt of his sword, closing in the distance between the two of them. That is, until only a meter was left.
So c l o s e… Yet so F A R.
“…Shizun.” Came the word after a long moment of silence. It was clear this Binghe had bad intentions but wouldn’t act on them yet. He wanted to enjoy the moment the most he could- before he would get interrupted, that is. A huff would leave the man before hints of a smirk would tug at the corners of his lips as he lowered his head to have a better look at the other.
“A pleasant surprise.” He spoke once more, his voice seeming a bit more warm than the look in his eyes and the way he held his ground.
Shen Yuan was terrified and he was certain it showed. If this was the true protagonist of the story and not just a bad dream then how did he stand a chance of appealing to him? The demon lord with over three hundred wives was not one who showed kindness to Shen QingQiu.-- nor should he.
As if his feet were not frozen in place he closed shut his iconic fan and straightened his back. Don’t show any fear. Shen Yuan took a deep breath and looked this Luo Binghe in the eyes.
“Binghe...”
He spoke softly. Running from someone so much more powerful than him wasn’t worth it. All he could do was attempt to tell the truth.
“This Shen QingQiu is different than the Shen QingQiu who harmed you. Surely, if you look, you can tell that this shizun’s soul is that of a different person?” Should he beg for mercy? That was a very valid option, to drop to his knees and beg.
“... Please tell me this is a dream.”
On the list of things SQQ probably doesn't want to deal with.. Original BingHe! Poor reincarnated man better run before it's too late--
“Ah, Binghe…”
He’s about to ask what the other has been up to before a few things click. This most certainly isn’t his Binghe, not the way he carries himself or the way his glare is ice cold.
Oh no. It’s that worst case scenario, isn’t it?
Shen Qingqiu delicately holds his fan in order to hide his fearful expression as he attempts to check with the System.
No answer.
Of all the times for the blasted system to go offline!
“Binghe, it’s me… your Shizun. If something’s wrong we can talk about it…” Nevermind that his feet are already carrying him backwards. It’s too risky to stay here and he so wishes he could turn and bolt full tilt. He can sort out where his Binghe is afterwards, provided he survives!
twojadesoflan:
“DO NOT SAY THE B WORD!”
Casually hiding behind fan.
“Bastard. Come now, it feels better to let some emotions out. Yell your frustrations to the heavens sometime, at least in your heart.”
These people don’t have to see my dignified act I can swear all I want!!
