Whatever you’re going through, know that it takes time.

It takes time to reach the destination, but you’re on the road, heading into that direction right now.

It takes time to reach the top, but you’re making your way up there right now.

It takes time to find happiness, but what you’re going through only gets you ready for that.

It’s never all over- remember you were once happy, and you will be again. Just keep your head up and move forward.

People stare at you when you walk down the street? That’s because you’re beautiful.

People whisper about you to their friends when you walk past them? It might be because they might be too shy to tell you that they want to be your friends.

You haven’t yet found someone you feel would love you? That’s because treasures take time to be discovered and it’s not easy for people to immediately find them.

It’s not because you’re a “freak”, you’re different and that is only ever appreciated by people who know what true and genuine beauty is.

Sure streetlights can grab your attention quickly, but the moon is still up there and it’s more captivating than the artificial light.

Sometimes you need to realize that you’ve survived the toughest days so far.

You went through some hard things, but you kept going. And that makes me proud of you. You’re a fighter, not a loser. You never lost a battle, you survived through all of them. And that’s a win.

You are NOT worthless.

You are NOT unloveable.

You are NOT a burden.

So maybe you didn’t find that special someone yet, maybe you failed your driver’s test, maybe you failed an exam, maybe you feel like you have no friends, maybe you feel betrayed. That will all be fixed in time.

Just because you might see other people around you who seem like they got their lives together, that doesn’t mean that you’re doing something wrong.

You deserve to be happy and you will. Do not give up on all you achieved so far just because you compare yourself to others. Everybody has a different path.

Behind every successful woman there are years of hard work, feelings of loneliness, moments of self doubt and fear, maybe a couple of mental breakdowns and a lot of obstacles along the way.

But what is important to remember is perseverance. Don’t despair just because you’re not there yet- progress takes time and you must allow yourself to grow before you make it to the top.
