idk if it’s because i’m watching the switzerland v canada world cup game but i feel like if luca didn’t play hockey he would play soccer (football i am sorry i know it’s football)

idk how to put this into words but sometimes i think about the fact that growing up (and even now) none of my irl friends were/are ever in fandoms but writing fanfic/being in fandoms has been such an integral part of my life for nearly a decade now and its so weird because its just... me??? like the people around me (irl) don't know that my fanfic grew up with me and i grew up through my fandom eras and how there is no me without my years of writing?? like. i feel like my writing fanfic shaped who i am so silently but in enormous ways

I feel weird and bad for mentioning this but I'm rereading When The Night Is Over and in chapter 1 you mention they're playing a home game, then at the bar Luca makes a comment about getting an Uber back to the hotel and Harris and Troy take LaPointe and Young back to the hotel while Luca stays behind to do the homework but then when he leaves, Ilya and Shane are driving him to his apartment and I feel bad mentioning this cause of the discalculia thing and timelines and stuff but I also know how easy it is to overlook things when you feel like you've proofread something 10000000 times but yeah I'm sorry I really do love the story!!!

living in a place with no public transportation and heavy commute traffic is psychological torture bc my internship is supposed to be 50 minutes away but it takes me 1 hr 30 minutes on a good day. public transport would've taken me 14 hrs and 20 minutes

for overall vibe i would say alysa liu (her approach to skating is really motivating and i really love when she said "i love struggling, actually. it makes me feel alive" because i think it's a really healthy way to look at skating, especially when you're being absolutely physically battered everytime u get on the ice) and kaori sakamoto (she's such a joy to watch skate!)

for spins: yuna kim and yuzuru hanyu

for jumps: ilia malinin (4A is INSANE!!!!) and sasha trusova (im really excited to follow her comeback in the upcoming season)
