I don’t follow “leaks” so… if what they meant is that the ONLY Reylo kiss would be on the cheek to that I say: BOO FAKE.

That much sexual tension CAN NOT be resolved with a single cheek kiss. Rey’s gonna get the passionate reluctant villain sexpot kiss she deserves.

Do you think A) Rey will continue the trend of bad-ass females being the first to say “I love you” to their gorgeous idiot or B) Ben will follow in his family’s footsteps and say it first?

Side question: since there’s no such thing in Star Wars as a simple “I love you, too”, what do you think Ben/Rey’s response would be in either scenario?

I Think Somebody Has Figured Out The “Hidden Meaning” Of The VF Cover

As you may recall, Vanity Fair senior writer and Reylo shipper Joanna Robinson noted that the covers have a “clever hidden meaning” and she wonders if anyone will figure it out before TROS is released.  Many fans have looked to arcane things like the clouds looking like hands or something.

But I think it may not be that hidden after all.

Because I’m old and I’m using a desktop instead of a phone, I couldn’t screenshot this YT comment by user “Daisy Johnson” left in response to Girls With Sabers’ livestream from the other day:

“Vanity Fair said they put a clue in the covers of Kylo and Rey when you put them together and I was up to midnight looking at it the only thing I got was the title on Kylo’s page is raised which come on that is a given, Rey being behind Kylo, the belonging you seek is not behind you its ahead.”

Numerous people have noted that it looks like Rey is further back from the “camera” than Kylo, making it look like she’s somewhere behind him. It makes sense…you’d have to remember that line from TFA and Reylos have been saying all along that Maz was really referring to Ben.

Not to say there’s no other symbolism and meaning, but I’m thinking that this commenter probably got it right.

Initial notes

Ben is pictured beneath, and it looks as though Rey is helping him rise, because she’s above.

Ben is swathed in blue light, which is both Rey’s colour AND the colour of the movie title. BENDEMPTION!

Rey is swathed in red, which is Ben’s colour.

Rey looks like she’s on a lava planet… Mustafar? (in which case… reverse Anidala, anyone?)

They are a mirror image. They parallel each other. Dual protagonists.

Their lightsabers are crossing over into each other’s sphere and are locked together forming an ‘x’ with a beam of light. So their stories and destiny are interwoven.
