austin was born one of three boys to loving parents in the hills. of course, being one of three boys meant a little bit of teasing and trying to be the alpha male was normal. but austin always had nothing but love for his brothers and his family. they were good people.
whereas his brothers had always been into football, austin’s talents and interest lied within music. he was singing before he could even talk. he loved to sing. he’d been in drama club from kindergarten to senior year, all so he could sing his heart out. the dream was to make it big one day.
when he first met lilah, and heard she had the same dreams as him, he never thought they’d come true. she was a couple of years below him but as soon as he’d heard her sing, he fell for her. when they sang in her parent’s garage, austin never truly believed they’d make it big. he just thought it was some silly dream. even when he found out who her parents were. he figured they’d want to get her a solo deal, not help her form a band with her boyfriend. and their two best friends. but it’d happened. and before he knew it he was signing his first record contract.
they’d made it big, selling album after album, hit after hit. it had been crazy. they’d gone all over the world, toured every big arena. but there was never really a break. he never had time to just think for a minute. and although he loved lilah, it was intense being with her every second of the day.
then he met a model, a gorgeous, gorgeous model. she was so sexy and austin was weak for her. even when he had lilah’s ring in his pocket, ready to propose. he’d still slept with the model. he’d fallen in love with her. but he had to carry on with lilah. her parents were the ones that gave them the opportunity, he was sure they’d have no qualms ripping it from them if he broke lilah’s heart. plus their manager was pressuring him into it, and he knew it’d be great publicity for him so he went through the motions. pretended to still be just as invested. he’d proposed in front of all their friends and family, made it as special as he could. all the while he’d slept with the model behind her back.
like everything, it eventually came out. he was caught with the model, them making out partially naked after drinking too much at a club one night. he’d told lilah the truth. told her that he was leaving her and the band. he’d walked away from it all. for a while he and the model had stayed together. but they soon realised that the most fun part of their relationship was the sneaking around, so they’d broken it off.
austin knew he needed to build his fanbase up again, the ones who didn’t hate him for the cheating. he was smart, resourceful. he audition for sonny hill, a character he knew would end up being loveable. he wanted to go solo eventually, but he had to be smart. so he was sticking it out at palmwood until he got the following once more and then he was going to break out.
