Really curious how the reunion between team wildemount and team issylra is going to go. If Deanna is still there (and it sounded like a possibility from the recent 4 sided dive), she is a dawnfather cleric and team issylra is fresh off sundering one of his temples and he is already on edge from the whole predathos business. Like, is he going to tell her to take out Laudna, Ashton, and Orym?? And like, F.R.I.D.A. is definitely going to back Deanna and then F.C.G. would have to choose between his love and the party he's been travelling with? Good god things could get so messy!

The scary part about any of the underwater encounters this episode is that the water breathing spell will fade when any of them go unconscious, so if they get healed they’d probably be real close to drowning 😳

I think I may have freaked myself out over nothing. Water breathing lasts for the duration of the spell (24 hours) and is not concentration. there is also no rule that says that spell effects fade when you go unconscious, so maybe things are in the clear. I guess it would be at Matt's discretion since he likes to homebrew these sorts of things.

Some thoughts from tonight's episode

What a crazy ride, it was an intense episode and a lot happened. A few thoughts after settling down from my emotions:

- I was yelling in the moment about molly's necklace, but I think that doesn't trigger (stabilizing him at 0 hp) until the start of his next turn. Fjord has the relentless endurance ability which brings him to 1 hp immediately after dipping below 0 hp. So no retcons unfortunately.

- The fact that they came out of that fight with one death was incredible. I loved the narrative tone to end the fight. Lorenzo knew he had the power and set up for a great story arc and a great villain

- as a subpoint, the fight was 6 or 7 vs 5, the m9 had no quick healing, the iron shepherds had healing and Lorenzo was at least level 9 to be casting cone of cold at 5th level. The tree and slow spells were a great start to the fight, but the dice didn't go their way and things went downhill real quick afterwards

- even though in the moment it was hard to take in, I loved that Ashly had the guts to stick to what her character truly would do

Still a lot to think over. Cant wait for next Thursday <3
