In this text-based long-term roleplay, create a Gem and experience the tragic tale of the Brilliants and the Vitreous, two split factions of Gems looking for hope.
Plot Synopsis
When the sixth meteor struck the Earth, a single city was left. Once humanity split into the three descendants, the Bone returned to their ancestors’ home. Adamant, Earth’s prayer machine, took in and nurtured the Gems in the ruined city’s silver spires. The Gems in return protected him from the Lunarians that so desperately sought Adamant’s prayer.
After 12,000 years of trial and error, the Lunarians had reached their breaking point and destroyed the machine. The Gems managed to salvage his Eye, which gave the Spirit a newfound hope. The Lunarian Prince/Princess came down to the Earth and told the Gems that if they found the Six Treasures and presented the Spirit with a Human, they would no longer abduct their kind. The Gems, who had no knowledge of Humanity and the Treasures, nor no longer had the guidance of their Master, were left confused and lost. The Gems argued, which escalated into brutal fights. The Bone who seeked to assist the Lunarians and find the Human, stayed within the city, while those who desired a peaceful life with reflection, retreated to the forests outside.
The Inner City gems, known as the Vitreous, swore to protect their Outer City siblings, who became known as the Brilliants. The Brilliants in turn swore to provide supplies and aid to the Vitreous. The Gems split, and for 5,000 years, the two factions lived in peace. The Lunarians, however, began to grow impatient, and on one summer day, decided to give the Gems a push…
Season 3 Synopsis
Three years have passed since the events of Season 2. The Master of the Vitreous was taken by the Lunarians and their young apprentice took up the role. As the Vitreous adjust to new leadership and the Brilliants continue their blissful search for the Treasures, an old discovery awakens and the Champions descend upon the Earth once more...

There will be a plot recap posted in the coming weeks. You DO NOT have to have participated in season 1 and/or 2 to participate in this one!
Phosphorescence is an annual roleplay event that takes place between June 15th and August 30th, and will go on hiatus during the rest of the year. Roleplaying during off-season is encouraged!
OC submissions close on June 15th. Details and instructions are available on the discord server. You may join the server and hang out past that date if you do not have an OC/want to spectate. It will always be open and you are always welcome :)

I posted the first day of my little "60 of the same guy in one island" experiment expecting absolutely nothing. But oh my god, you guys absolutely LOVED Quitland and the 60 Quits! So of course I'm following up with day 2, and boy howdy did things sure...happen...
When I started this experiment, one of the things I was really hoping for was for some of the Quits to really make a name for themselves. As in, they'd become so memorable that I'd remember specific Quits and what number they are. Well...that definitely happened today.
Meet Quit 35.

This Quit did absolutely nothing yesterday, all she did was ask for some clothes. But this morning she decided it was her time to shine by falling in love with Quit 38:
She did so by accidentally bumping into her, how romantic...or so I thought. If this was all Quit 35 had done I wouldn't have bat much of an eye...but then literally FIVE MINUTES LATER...
Don't be fooled: they may look identical, but this is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT QUIT Quit 35 is falling for! Quit 10 to be exact!
Quit 35 spent a grand total of 5 minutes being interested in 38 before falling in love with a completely different Quit! I couldn't believe my eyes! To decide which Quit she should have a crush on, I flipped a coin and it landed on Quit 10. So poor Quit 38 didn't even know a Quit liked her before 35 changed her mind...What's her goal? Is she an alluring Quit attempting to create her own Quit harem? Or is she just really fickle? Are these "romantic bump incidents" all just fabricated by 35?!? Needless to say, I had my eye on 35 all day...I guess we'll have to wait and see what she does tomorrow.
To make this even more confusing, 35 constantly had an entire mob of Quit following her around...I guess they were as curious about 35 as I was...or are these members of the 35 harem?!?
OK, enough about 35. Let's move on to some other Quit developments, starting with Quit 48 and Quit 28. I talked briefly about these two at the end of yesterdays post, and all I had to say was 48 had a crush on 28. The two weren't even friends yet, but today...
28 wanted to be friends with 48! 48 didn't even have to do anything for their crush to get some development, how nice!
I hope it works out for 48. Go for it, 48!
...Because our current relationship between Original Quit and Quit 3 is in a bit of a sour spot...
I'm not sure what's going on between these two, their conversation is apparently sickeningly sweet...but Quit 3 is "not getting along" with Original. I haven't seen them fight or anything, and Original LOVES 3...so I'm not sure what that's about.
It's so bad, Original Quit is on par with 40 and 2 on the relationship chart, who are just acquaintances! That's rough.
(Oh, and I've been giving some Quits little quirks as they level up, usually befitting of the actions the Quit has taken. Quit 3 was the first Quit to establish a sweetheart, so I figured the cute stance fit them. Although now I'm not so sure...)
Other then relationship stuff, I decided the reason my Quits were so stupid yesterday was because they lacked culture. Maybe some high quality media will expand their minds and make them less simple (spoiler alert: it didn't). So as their benevolent God/friend/father, I decided to bless my children with Quit Culture.
^ This one I had actually made yesterday during the tutorial, but I was so tired it looked like shit. So I redrew it today.
(If you guys have any funny ideas for custom items of any kind, let me know and I might make them!)
Oh...and...uh...one of the Quits asked for a pet...so I...
I don't think we need to discuss this further.
...Anyways, I realized yesterday the video I added didn't include any speaking Quits. So you guy have no idea what they sound like. How about I fix that:
...I'm not sure what you were expecting Quit to sound like, but it probably wasn't this.
Finally, the last major thing that happened today was that I got curious. I've spent the last two days interacting with Quits every few hours, so plenty of Quits have gotten something unique to their name. Whether that be clothing, a new house interior, friends, etc etc...but has EVERY Quit asked for something?
I decided to look through every Quit and find the most untouched Quit...the most perfect, untainted Quit...and I found...
Quit 45 has not asked for a single thing. They haven't had any interest in other Quits nor have any Quits had interest in them. They haven't had a problem that I needed to deal with, they haven't wanted a style update or some food...they are completely blank. I believe they are the only Quit who's like this, so we'll have to see if Quit 45 continues to be blank or if they find a niche to fill.
That's all the big stuff! A decent bit happened today, I'm still absolutely loving this save file so I don't plan to drop it any time soon (although I'm not promising daily uploads, you know how life can be).

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream but with 60 clones of the same guy
I've been loving the hell out of Living the Dream and I've always had one Mii who I absolutely adore. If you've ever seen my account, you know who I'm talking about considering I draw him all the time; Quit!!!!

So I decided I wanted to run an experiment: I would make an alt save with 60 of the same Mii. Every single Mii will be a clone of our beloved Quit (seen above) with the exact same personality, voice, face, dating preferences (all Quits can date all 3 gender options), everything. The only difference is that 20 of them are male, 20 are female, and 20 are nonbinary (because I'm curious on if Mii gender impacts how a Mii forms friends).
It was a lengthy process making 60 of the exact same Mii, but finally...
Welcome to Quitland.
My general rule for this save file is that I must interfere as little as possible with the Quits lives. I'll only give them food, new clothing, treasures, or new housing if they directly ask me for it. I can't force any relationships either (barring the tutorial which forces you to do so). I want to see how these 60 clones all grow and adapt, and how they will eventually differentiate themselves.
I had put all 60 Quits in at midnight so right after doing so I decided to head to bed. I then proceeded to spend the chunk of my morning doing quite possibly the stupidest thing ever:
Creating a giant pixelated Quit to put on the ground.
From there I learned about something kind of interesting. Turns out when you create 60 Miis all at once, with all of them having no little quirks, friends, or really anything to define their AI past their basic personality, they become...
...kind of stupid.
Here are some examples of small groups of Quit randomly choosing to follow one "leader" Quit for no reason. They REALLY enjoy doing this. Its not uncommon for small packs of Quit (usually containing 2-6 members) to just stalk another Quit for extended periods of time. I believe they are developing pack-hunting strategies. This scares me.
They also enjoyed talking. A lot. My entire island is just constantly full of random Quit chatter 24/7.
I'll admit though it is very rewarding just seeing all of them standing about, doing weird Quit things. I feel like a proud father of 60 single-celled organisms.
Also I got quite possibly the funniest Tomodachi Life clip I've ever seen:
There ain't a single brain cell between any of them. Honestly it was really fun just watching them frolic about, like an ant farm made entirely up of brainless homunculus.
In terms of actual development between the Quits, some of them became acquaintances and a few even became friends, but the REAL development was between Quit 1 (known as Original Quit) and Quit 3:
Quit 3 started crushing on Original, and just a few minutes after that Quit 3 surprised me by deciding to just up and confess to Original. This was pretty shocking...so far, every other Quit has been fairly reserved in making relationships. While plenty of them became "like-minded" (not surprising considering they all have the same mind), few were brave enough to become friends, let alone lovers. Perhaps Quit 3 is some kind of deviant Quit???
Well lucky for Quit 3, their boldness ended up paying off...and Quitland got its first couple!
I wonder how long it'll last...
Besides that, only one other romantic event happened. Which was Quit 48 developing a crush on Quit 28. (I know it's hard to tell that this Quit is different from the Quit above...but trust me, its a different guy.)
...could this be considered an example of egomania...? I mean they look identical...
And that was about everything interesting that happened on day 1 of my little experiment. I might post more if anyone has any interest in the Quit ant farm. This is a little different from what I usually post so hopefully the people who follow me just for the art don't mind a bit of a change lol. All Miis are randomly selected from a pre-determined list of mostly niche/obscure fictional characters unless stated otherwise.
Miis without implied or canon dating preferences are pansexual.
Miis will not be paired intentionally. Only those that just so happen to be by each other will be matched.
No crushes, friendships, marriages, move-ins, or babies will be rejected.
Miis that do not donate to the island three or more times will be deleted.
I will (ATTEMPT) to upload daily updates as I progress through the game. The first week of uploads will be focused on the Welcome Version playthrough as I create a buffer for future updates and enjoy the game.
