Hi there, I was just curious, due to you being an EU company. What times are your events usually set? And when are you most active? A friend of mine and I thinky our FC looks neat but we were worried our times wouldn't work out.
Hey there!
We really appreciate yours and your friend’s interest in the FC! Appreciate the ask.
We have three events a week that lie on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday (None of which are mandatory) that all begin at the same time - 8pm GMT / 9pm CET (8pm BST / 9pm CEST due to daylight savings hours).
Furthermore, our most active times are usually between the hours of 5pm GMT / 6pm CET to 12am GMT / 1am CET during weekdays. On weekends it’s pretty much all day every day.
I hope this helps! If you’re still interested after this, feel free to drop us a line on discord at Tea#3754 or Vex#0458!
“War’s one horrible, messy business, and more often than not its wake is as terrible as its coming, and yet the ravens will always be there to clean up what it leaves behind.”
Who we are:
Raven Heart <<RH-RP>> is an EU-based heavy roleplaying Free Company on Balmung (NA Legacy) server. Company rules can be found >>here<<. We have a personal discord server for our members to relax and chat in.
We offer a good variety of different RP events for members to take part in, ranging from a weekly meeting (attendance highly encouraged, yet not mandatory), in addition to contract/plot events, along with social get-togethers such as an All Saints’ Wake and other seasonal parties. Other casual RP can usually be found in and around our Mists Medium house! Thus, there are two RP nights each week on Wednesday and Saturday in the evening.
What we do:
A Free Company managed and run by ex-soldier Thya Kahzuun, and privateer captain Vex Redain, Raven Heart is a well-reputed, sanctioned Free Company that operates as an auxiliary to the Eorzean Alliance. With the war between the city states of Hydaelyn and the Garlean Empire growing in intensity after the collapse of Garlean rule in Gyr Abania and Doma, and the increasing involvement and heroics of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, many of Raven Heart’s contracts are focused around the idea of cleaning up the threats that have been left unchecked across Hydaelyn, as well as helping those they can along the way, allowing the Alliance forces to worry not about the home front and recently liberated territories and to push forward in the war effort.
If you think you’d like to take part and join the Ravens, contact Thya Kahzuun (Discord: Tea#3754), or Vexiras Redain (Discord: Vex#0458) in-game, on tumblr, or on discord!
Further information under the cut! Reblogs are greatly appreciated!
What we’re looking for:
Mercenaries:
Whether you fight with an axe, a sword, a gun, a staff, or a different weapon all together, Raven Heart is always looking for the able-bodied and highly skilled to join its ranks. There’s no better feeling than saving the realm, along with a good payout. A particular area that the Ravens lack personnel in is to do with the schools of offensive and healing magic, battlemages are particularly favourable prospects.
Adventurers:
Filled with wanderlust and a sense of adventure, or perhaps wanting to be remembered for great deeds? Our contracts will take you across Hydaelyn, along with the promise of pay and renown at the end.
Supporting staff:
As with any venture, non-combatants and support staff are always required, particularly those with business, or crafting skills. After all, battles aren’t just won on the field, and gil can get you anywhere.
Healers:
Knowledge of conjury or arcanima? Or perhaps you’re simply a chirurgeon or traditional healer? As with any fighting Free Company in Eorzea, battles can get intense, and afterwards there’s more than a fair share of healing to go around. Raven Heart is particularly looking for healers to complete its roster.
Community members!
Raven Heart is more than just a Free Company, and while it is our focus we don’t always expect our members to be playing Final Fantasy XIV! Members can usually be found on voice chat playing a multitude of different games, we’re a group of friends who share a passion that surpasses roleplaying and we’d love to have new additions to our little family. We place a great emphasis on our company games night (usually) every friday night! Games played range from GTAV to SCP: Secret Laboratory to Planetside 2, and more! We’re certainly always open to further suggestions.
A pamphlet bearing the black and orange crest of Raven Heart sits before you, a common sight in many of the Adventurers’ Guilds, armouries, and Grand Company halls of the city-states of Eorzea and written in fanciful, gilt Eorzean script, seemingly originally by hand before being replicated by printing press. Opening it, you see the following:
As always, its been quite a while since our last correspondence, we do try to keep these from inundating the many taverns and guilds of Eorzea, after all... It’s been a wild few moons for the Ravens, and we’ve taken the opportunity to once again take our time to consolidate and build our roster, as well as the repertoire of skills at our disposal, and thus I’d like to extend a few warm welcomes to our newest Ravens! These brave souls and mighty ‘venturers are as follows: Khadir Mhori, an axe-wielding Xaela tactician from the Mountains of the Azim, Chakha Malaguld, an enthusiastic Xaelic greatsword user hailing from the Steppe, Ochacha Ocha, a Lalafellin Voidsent expert and learned scholar, Sage Masatake, a Raen ronin who has taken to wandering the path of the traveler, Khailan Buduga, a fiery spearbrother of the Buduga out to make his name as a monster hunter, and last but certainly not least, Izhar’a Noukai, an enigmatic and powerful Keeper mystic. We wish them all the best and hope that they are ecstatic as we are at including them into our little family.

Thank you for reading, and I hope this finds you in good health!
May you ever walk in the light of the Crystal,
- Captain Vex Redain

Our last contract brought us to the frozen wilderness of Coerthas Western Highlands in pursuit of heretics and dragonkin who hadn’t quite gotten the message that the Dragonsong War had since brought itself to a cycle or so ago. Dividing the force of eleven Ravens into two teams, one utilising bertha cannons that the Noble House Lautenione had provided for the Raven’s anti-dragon activities, and the other advance team to engage the creature in melee. In a quick and decisive strike, the advance Ravens managed to decapitate and deal with the dragon immediately... However this was somewhat overshadowed by the coming cannonade from the remainder of the force awakening two other dragons that had been slumbering within the remainder of the buildings. After a pitched battle, in which the first dragon engaged the advance party, and the second engaged the cannon party. Despite the loss of one of the berthas, the Ravens were able to bring each of the beasts down. Chakha earning herself a well-deserved bonus for being instrumental in the slaying of two of the three scalekin present. The Ravens emerged (mostly) unscathed from the process, learning a lot more about fighting scalekin than most non-Ishgardians usually ever do!
As usual, we now remain vigilant should we be needed for more contracts, and spend our time awaiting the next battle, though not without some methods of entertainment, bar nights being an entertaining distraction that enables Ravens to learn more about each other and interact without fear of interrupting the task at hand.

Opening it, you see the following:
A few moons have passed since our last correspondence, but as always in the life of a mercenary, much has transpired that owes itself to news! First and foremost, more people have shown up at the door of the Estate looking for work and have hit the ground running as Ravens. These brave individuals are Ririnzo Jijinzo, a Lalafellin trader who found himself stuck in the island nation of Hingashi and took up the katana to find work, Aurelle Melodie, a highly-skilled Lominsan Lieutenant and Huntmaster, Yasha Nue, a Keeper gladiator who tired of the Bloodsands in Ul’dah and sought other employment. Julian Ducasse, though mute, is a gifted linguist, bartender, and fighter; last but not least, Chidori Akane, a Raen temptress gifted in the arcane arts of Red Magic. Three of which are pictured above, possibly soon to be assailed by a dyrad from a recent contract, worry not, they came out (mostly) seriously uninjured.
The Ravens have also, as always, been busy at work, taking contracts from organisations such as the Conjurer’s Guild, the Order of the Twin Adder, the mysterious Ishgardian House Lautenione, and an assortment of others across Aldenard and Othard. From disastrous Ishgardian balls, to cleansing burial sites, to being attacked by unnaturally conjurered dryads, truly the Ravens must have seen it all by now. As always, a summary of some of our contracts can be seen on the other side of this pamphlet.
Once again being hired by the Lord Lautenione, the Ravens worked as guards for his upcoming soiree, which he suspected would soon be embroiled in the plots of another Ishgardian noble house. Whether or not the Lord was right or not remains to be seen, though one could say that the ball was quite the disaster. Within mere bells of arriving, the Ravens at hand were assailed by the dangers of Ishgardian High Society, with Xau catching the eye of Lord Lautenione’s noble heir, Claussont, Sagra near-on starting a duel with Eaushert Veauciere, another noble heir, and Zh’aqoha being given a lesson on Dravanian geography by the Lord Pulanc. After a while, the Ravens had discovered certain members of the Lord’s House staff were not whom they originally appeared to be. Instead of busying themselves serving food and drinks, the ‘wine cases’ they were ferrying around the estate held artifacts of a strange, almost bio-mechanical design that could have only come from one place in Eorzea: The Weeping City of Mhach. With whatever machinations at work foiled, the Ravens were able to safely remove everyone from the ballroom and destroy the artifacts with no loss of life. Though Seska’s dress was ruined beyond repair, the Company accepts no liability for the loss, and despite her grievances, will not be paying for a replacement. (A scribbled-in notation reads: I told you not to wear a bleeding dress, Seska!)
Finding themselves hired by the Conjurer’s Guild to survey a cave in Thanalan that was the source of numbers of strange aetheric disturbances, the Ravens found themselves at the mercy of a series of riddles created by a possibly-insane mage. Wandering around Thanalan, they eventually retrieved the needed items to break the wards built up around a device which was found to be capable of draining large amounts of aether from the surrounding area. Thankfully, no Ravens were injured, though Aurelle was chased and stung by a few bees.
The most recent contract, this one given to us by the grace of the Order of the Twin Adder, was to investigate a slew of disappearances around the eastern side of Fallgourd Float in the Black Shroud. Whilst initially, there were suspicions of the Ixali being involved, with many of the people who had since gone missing being reported to having been last seen around the edges of their territory, it was eventually found that this was definitely not the case. Venturing towards the Ixali territory, the Ravens were brought to a halt when Thya and Akane quickly were snatched away, with Azumi being lucky enough to stay near the group, and a trio of ghastly dryads appearing out of thin air, as if mysterious sorceries were at work. With Thya dispatching her assailant with ease, destroying the unholy tree-creature by herself, Akane did not fair nearly as well thanks to the magical dampening that had worked its way into the enchanted wood hides of the creatures. Azumi had the benefit of being in the main group of Ravens and was freed when the others dispatched her attacker. Eventually, though, the Ravens were able to find the source of both the disappearances and the dryads, what seemed to be a once-conjurer who had since been risen by unholy magicks. Whilst none of the disappeared persons could be returned home alive, having been slain by the ashkin, the Ravens were able to give their families the semblance of peace with the closure and retrieval of their bodies.
As usual, we now remain vigilant should we be needed for more contracts, and spend our time awaiting the next battle, though not without some methods of entertainment, bar nights being an entertaining distraction that enables Ravens to learn more about eachother and interact without fear of interrupting the task at hand.

May you ever walk in the light of the Crystal,
A pamphlet bearing the black and orange crest of Raven Heart sits before you, a common sight in many of the Adventurers’ Guilds, armouries, and Grand Company halls of the city-states of Eorzea and written in fanciful Eorzean script, seemingly originally by hand before being replicated by printing press. Opening it, you see the following:
Looking to bolster our ranks, the Ravens underwent a hiring drive throughout the city-states of Eorzea and those of Othard. As such we’ve welcomed the ‘Nobushi Extraordinaire’ Seska Tayuun, the mischievous Sultansworn L’kolmiska, and the mysterious blacksmith Temperance to the company, who’ve all completed their trials as of this sennight and are now considered full Ravens.
In regards to recent contracts that the Company has undertaken, the Ravens found themselves contracted by two wildly different parties - the first, a Hingan lord, and the second, an Ishgardian Noble, both have gained the assistance of the company in solving their problems in the last moon, with a summary of both on the next page of this pamphlet.
Furthermore, If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Raven, we’re recruiting! Find out more in the post >>here<< and contact one of the named individuals to submit an application today!
For the remaining anonymous Hingan, the Free Company was tasked with destroying a vast amount of voidsent paraphernalia accumulated by a fellow member of Hingan nobility, whom the Ravens were asked to remove from power. As with any accumulation of voidsent artifacts or material, it was a worrying portent indeed, and with the expertise of Xau of the Saialdhe, one that we are more than well equipped to deal with. The operation resulted in a battle between ever-loyal samurai and the mercenaries in the Vesper Bay docks, the company deploying in near full-force and utilizing the assistance of privateers to force a Hingan vessel said to be carrying the aforementioned lord and items into docking at the port. Discovering that their intelligence was incorrect, the Ravens left empty handed, apart from a prisoner in the form of the misguided Roegadyn samurai, Watchful Sun.
Our second employer for the moon was the honourable Lord Lautenione, a minor Ishgardian Noble whose house was forever pledged to the House Haillenarte. Despite facing the haughty hospitality that Ishgard is so ever remembered for in the Lord’s manor, the company soon deployed into the Dravanian Forelands in order to complete their task - to search for and ambush the bandits who had broken into the Lautenione manor only suns before and to return an expensive list of stolen items to the Lautenione family, including a set of holy Drachenmail, some Garlean antiques, and even more troubling, a piece of Mhachi origins. Departing from the hunter settlement of Tailfeather, the Ravens soon found the camp with the assistance of privateer scouts, with Seska attempting to pose as a rich buyer interested in purchasing the goods with Aelia Flameheart posing as her esteemed bodyguard. Unfortunately, the two Elezen guarding the goods saw through the ruse, and combat soon ensued, though in the process the men were found to be employed by the minor Noble house Pulanc, and though the artefacts, with the exception of the Drachenmail, were returned to their rightful owner, yet the company now faces being a pawn in the Great Game played by so many of the nobility in Ishgard.
The Ravens now await more contracts, and have since found the time to unwind, heal their injuries, and train for their next sortie.
May you always walk in the light of the Crystal,
Captain Vex Redain

The past moon had been a busy one for the fledgling Raven Heart, with the members of the Company busying themselves with both work and social events throughout. The newest Ravens in particular, now embraced as full members of the Company, saw their skills put to the test; as well as their relationships with their new comrades in arms. A few Company meetings resulting in debates over subjects ranging from contractor morality to Xaela tribal habits.
The first contract of note, a job in the South Shroud hunting a Dravanian Archeosaur that had broken free as it was being transported across Eorzea to parts unknown, and began a small rampage. Despite one Raven running afoul of a faulty portcullis in Quarrymill (and suffering quite severe injuries), the mercenaries managed to subdue and end the beast’s reign of terror, as short as it was, in time to make a good amount of gil and the Wood Wailer’s gratitude.
The second contract saw a Goblin from Idyllshire, Greenox, contact the Company for the retrieval of a magitek device from some remnants of the Illuminati that still stalked the Hinterlands and the ruins of the Sharlayan colony. As it turned out, Greenox didn’t seek any magitek at all, with the true subject of her contract being her daughter, Veeflox, who had run off to join them and was wanted home. Fighting through some Illuminati guards and their (often faulty) Gobtek, Veeflox was eventually retrieved after a brief fight with a particularly large Vangob suit being piloted by the target herself. Veeflox was convinced to return to Idyllshire without further violence by Y’shenn and his famous golden tongue. All in all, The Ravens came out of the contract with full pockets, some extra Gobtek as a personal thanks, and one largely bruised ego... Mostly due to Veeflox’s insistence that Xau was on the heavier side of things.
Today marked the first Raven Tournament, in which the members of the Free Company engaged in a bit of friendly competition, with the winner being the wizened L’dhala Tia in an amazing comeback that definitely was not due to Vex’s need to inject a bit of dramatic flare into the tourney, or anything she touches.
After a busy recruiting period, we’re both pleased and sad to announce that we’re closing off recruitment for the next month as we allow our new members to settle in. But follow our tumblr and keep an eye out for any notices here, on the RPC, or on the Balmung RP Network Discord in the near future as we’ll be recruiting again soon!
We’d like to welcome our new members! The Ravens have been joined by Obinata no Kichi, an experienced and efficient Raen Shinobi; Weeping Crow, a fierce Abalathian Hellsguard Warrior with a bear for a friend; Suresya Dazkar, the blind ex-Khatun of the Dazkar tribe; Xau Saialdhe, a mysterious and alluring Keeper; Y’shenn Baelat, a charismatic Merchant lord and completely legitimate businessman; and last but definitely not least Selide Dusksun, a Lominsan Duskwight Privateer and expert markswoman.
