You like my mustache?
My cat has a moustache
if I ever leave Bloton id be here. Cardiff is my second home for many reasons. i vow i will move here and ill do my very best to stay here. im stuck where i am now, no job no inspiration, cardiff has open my eyes to many open windows
the millenuim centre is well known around the uk and has been a prominent setting for various tv shows such asDOCTOR WHOandTORCHWOOD.
The millenimcenter houses theatres for musicals, opera, ballet and dance, as well as cafes and arts organisations. there are many well known musicals that are performed there such as west ends WICKED
HELLO :)
its been a while but IVE FOUND ALL MY CARIDFF PHOTOGRAPHS!!!! anyway ill get going an get them uploaded finally!!
Cardiff day.7 pt 2/?
This chirch was photographed as I was heading to Newport road (it does lead tp Newport however o was not walking 12 miles to get thete) I walked down Newport road as there are lots of churches and little gardens to enjoy
This photpgraph is very bright and vibrant the colours of both the church tower and the trees are veru bright making them very eye catching
Cardiff day 7 pt1/?
As the tumblr app will not let me post photosets from HTC phones I have to do them individually.
The next few hotograph are of various churches around cardiff that I went to find.
This church is right in the city centre just as you leave queens shopping centre at the back. I like this particular photograph as the church looks rather grand and the trees frame It well.
I dony think this photo is over exposed and in my opinion I think it looks very good.
This fits in with my theme of people and places as it show where people go who are religious
Today
Today I am working in my book writing about vaarious techniques and doing artist research I will continue with the rest of The uploads from cardiff and other places within the next few days so that this blog is up to date as I've had people asking for more (oh how I love torchwood and doctor who fans) this weekend Ill be travelling Down to wallesy wnd liverpool next week I think I'm going over to yorkshire. Anyway in the next few days lots more will be posted and hopefully get up to date. Im signing out now so I can continue with my book
Cardiff day 6 (pt 2) Cardiff city hall and national museum
These are the photographs outside and around both museum and city unfortunately I was unable to take photographs inside as they do not allow photographs to be taken inside or posted online however and as these photographs were to go on my blog for college my request was rejected. Inside they are both very beautiful building full of Cardiff and welsh history.
1. This photograph is of the outside of Cardiff museum. Unfortunately the edges of the building have been cut off due to the water features behind me I was unable to move further back.
2. I took a photograph of the Cardiff city hall sigh as It clearly shows what’s around but also there is both English and welsh which I feel shows that many different people languages and places make up the country that we live in. this photograph is very clear and the gold lettering is very vibrant and bold
3. photographs 3, 4 and 6 are all of the city hall from various angles. I decided to do this so that the building can be viewed in many different ways.
4. this photograph is of the water feature directly in front of both city hall and the museum the water features in Cardiff city generally consist of 3 water jets which is to try and recreate the 3 feathers from the Cardiff crest
5. this photograph is of the city clock from behind a tree I decided to take this as I wanted something different instead of just taking a plain photograph.
Cardiff day 6 (pt 1)Cardiff castle.
Unfortunately I was unable to actually go inside the castle this year as I only had a limited supply of money and I needed food and drinks to last for the last few days that I was in Cardiff therefore I have taken a few photographs of the castle as I was on my way to the museum and the city hall.
1. This photograph shows the east wall with various flags lining the top of it. I feel hat this photograph fits wit the theme of people and places as it shows a sense of unity between each of the countries.
2. this photograph was my first attempt at getting a hot of the entrance ho0wever I felt that my camera was focusing to high as I was quite close to the entrance therefore I have ended up with a lot of empty space at the top of the photograph
3. This is my second attempt at taking a photograph of the entrance. This worked out a lot better as I got the full entrance as well as the walls. I feel that this particular photograph shows how tall the walls are.
4. This photograph is of people going it to visit the castle. I feel that this photograph links well with people and places as it shows a major tourist area within Cardiff that does attract a few thousand visitors from around the world each year almost as many as Doctor who and Torchwood cons
5. This photograph is of the castle wall and steps leading down to the underground subways on boulevard de nantes which was across the road from the city hall and museum I took this photograph as I felt it showed some of my journey to the museum.
Explanation.
this blog was supposed to be 30 days however i have ended up posting around 6 blogs a day due to the compter and laptops im working with. they keep crashing! so i have decided that i will go out and do my photo shoots when the compters are against me and when they decide to like me again i will blog as much as possible so that way its easier. (Always have a backup plan)
i will now get around to posting day 6, 7, 8, 9 and maybe 10+ providing the laptop stays with me as ive already attempted these days numerous times. i'll get there before i start college again!
please bear with me tweeters/fellow bloggers :)

Cardiff day5 (PT2) around the docks.
walking around the docks and the weather turns against me...thats welsh weather for you all was drenched by the time i got to shelter and my hotel was just over half an hour away (i walked everywhere) anyway i think i managed to get some descent photographs...eventually.
1. before the rain kicked in i was stood on the bridge just above the roald dahl pass and took a phtotograph of the bunting that they decorated the enterance to the festival with. this also overlooks the bay where you can see the rainclods coming over from flat holm island. i particulaly like this photograph as even though the atmosphere was quite dull the flags really brightened up the photograph which was my main intention.
2. the national assembly of wales. this bulding is beautiful the stone and glass complement eachother very well and the roof is amazing (this is also where i dived under as soon as it started raining, i was stuck under there for 45 minutes though) i feel that becaus the building is such a dark shade that it really enchances the various colour of clothes that people are wearing and makes them stand out. in my opinion this is one of the most amazing and beautiful buildings in cardiff but my favourite has to be the millenium centre.
3. by using this photograph i am trying to show how hard the rain was coming down. at this point its been about 20 minutes, im bored and stull stuck under the shelter) the rain really brightens up the pavement and it hides the buildings in the background behind the mist.
4. this is a photograph showing how heavy the rain was. when there's no rain you can see flat holm island and the houses very clearly however in this photograph it shows how heavy the rain really is.
5. this photograph shows flat holm islad as the rain is calming down. its still misty and raining slightly but it shows the buildings more now and the small docks alot clearer than when it was raining heavily
if i had one tip for you it would be...if you are planning to head down (or up) to cardiff be prepared and take a coat the weather is very, very unpredictable
Cardiff day 5 (pt1) Ianto Jones shrine.
basically these photographs were all taken of the shrine for TORCHWOOD'Smuch loved charactor Ianto Jones (Gareth David-lloyd-as seen on previous photographs on my blog) who was killed by an alien known as the 456 duringTORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY- DAY 4(once again i recommend you watch it warning: may cause feeling of sadness and loss)
the many fans of torchwood from around the uk and overseas started this shrine soon after the charactor was killed off. this is situated on Mermaid Quay where the TORCHWOODtourist office was located throughout the series. and is regulaly updated by fans and staff of Mermaid Quay.
i have decided to include this within my blog as this shows people of all ages and different places coming together to appreciate what i think is an amazing TV show and a much loved charactor.
however in sci-fi anything can happen.........?
Cardiff day 4 (pt2)
these are photographs of various walkways i travelled through and by as i was wandering around the north of the city centre during a quiet day.
1. this photograph was taken as i left the riverside backpackers hotel and walking up fitzhammon embankmentits hows the walkway and bridge over the river taff the photograph is ver clear however it is a little dull. to improve this i need to expose it to more light. this fit in with the theme people and places at it shows the main river running through cardiff towards the bay.
2. this signpost shows all the available parking spaces in the city centre and one of the buisyest main roads. i have brightened up this photograph a little as it was very underexposed and was very hard to see. this fits the theme people and places as it shows cars on their journey around the city.
3.this photgraph shows a path leading down to a subway but it also shows people walking and getting on the bus in the city centre this photograph is quite bright and clear however as i was walking the photograph has turned out quite blurry.
4. this is an unsuspecting victim who ended up starring in one of my photographs shh! i took a photograph of a man walking thriough the tunnel as my brief is people and places so why not take a photo of a guy in a tunnel? the only problem is due to the light (lack of) the photgraph turned out top be quite dark and not very clear.
5. i took this photograph as i was walking alonside the castle its not a very nice walkway but it'll do. this photograph is very clear however once again it isnt very bright due to the lack of light again- it had been raining most of the day unfortunatley.
6. this final ophotograph you MIGHT recognise. this subway was used in BBC's TORCHWOOD SERIES 1 EPISODE 1- EVERYTHING CHANGES. this is the same subway Gwen cooper ran through after Captain Jack Harkness Retconned her (Retcon is a short term amneasia pill, makes her forget she met anyone from torchwood...once again watch it, i guarantee its worth it!) this photograph has turned out quite well its clear and shows people travelling via the subways.
Cardiff day 4- pondering (pt1)
these are just a few photographs from close to the Riverside Backpackers hotel where i stayed. the 4th day was just around shops so not many photographs were taken.
1. this photograph is of the millenium stadium from out of the window in my hotel, this is the view i woke up to every day. this photograph is clear however because of the sky and rain it isnt very bright, to brighten this up i would need to expose the photograph to a little more light.
2. this photograph was take on the bridge on castle street which gave me a good view of the path alongside the millenum stadium and the river taff running alonside it. this photograph was taken later in the day so there was more light around and it looks alot brighter than the first photograph
3&4. i am writing about these photgraophs together at it is the same waterbus except from 2 different angles as i was walking along the bridge. the side view of the waterbus (photograph 3) is very clear and very vibrant and shows lost of hostles and houses where people will stay. the waterbus can be borded from bute park, just off castle street and the journey ends at one of the stops within cardiff bay.
5. this show the river taff as well as the water bus in the distance and the path along side the millenium stadium. this photograph is very bold and vibrant. this photograph fits into the theme of people and places as the millenium stadium is where cardiff's rugby team are based.
6.this photograph shows the whole of the millenium stadium from on the bridgr it is slightly over exposed thats why its so bright however it is very clear
cardiff day 3- the Doctor Who Experience (pt2)
this section would be easier to explain all together, all of these phtographs are of the real outfits that charactors wore within Doctor who. the reason i have incuded all of these photographs into this Blog is because each of these charactors are a huge part of my life as i am a bit of a geek and a whovian (Doctor who fan).
each one of these charactors show how loyal and brave people can be but also the hard times that they may have to go through and each charactor has played a major role within the series, such as sarah jane smith (Elizabeth sladen RIP) who has been a part of doctor who since almost the begining and captain jack harkness (John Barrowman) who will be a part of doctor who for a long time thanks to his immortality because of the bad wolf and rose taking in the time vortex...long story (watch boom town, Bad wolf and the parting of ways - i strongly suggest it)
each of these charactors have moved someone at one poin in their lives and Doctor who is now the LONGEST RUNNING SCI-FI SHOW IN THE WORLD!!
Some of these photographs are underexposed due to the poor lighting within the Experience centre.
