have you seen ( Rhiannon "Ria" Mc-Kay, she/her )? They look a lot like ( B.illie L.ourd ). The ( 26 ) year old ( escort & aspiring actress ) is so ( optimistic, energetic, friendly ) but I heard they can also be really ( gullible, airheaded, loud ). Can you believe they’ve been in town for ( just arrived )?! They live in the ( The Stacks ) neighborhood and kind of remind me of ( pink witchcore, dried flowers, swimming pool on a sunny day, freshly picked lemons, hair tinsel ). If I was asked, I’d guess that they were ( The Wonder-Eyed Optimist ) in their yearbook for the class of ( 2017 ).

There’s no question that seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses is Rhiannon’s superpower and if you want to look up the definition of “optimist,” you’ll probably find a photo of her right next to it. No matter how hopeless the situation gets, she’ll muster the strength to make it, dragging the doubters by their ears with confidence. Ria is extremely friendly and energetic, but also quite gullible, which makes her easy prey for rapacious, selfish piranhas. It’s not surprising she’s been hurt and taken advantage of in the past. Holding grudges is a waste of time, so Ria pushes forward, holding her head up high, focused on her dreams and plans.
Aside from being the epitome of sunshine, Ria is an aspiring actress from Apple Valley. Raised by a single father who cherished and loved her with all his heart, she learned that only focus and self-awareness can help her achieve her goals. This lesson became a rule she had sworn to herself to live by and it didn’t take long before Ria decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her biggest dream — to become an actress. She and her dad had been inseparable, and Ria wasn’t sure if she was ready for a big change in her life, which meant leaving her father behind in the hometown, but with her dad’s support and her own optimism, she headed to LA with big plans and hopes.
Unfortunately, she quickly learned a bitter lesson — her passion for acting wasn’t enough and she clearly never noticed she wasn’t very talented. She had been doing anything she could, trying to catch every opportunity in order to start somewhere, but couldn’t succeed. Ria didn’t get discouraged easily, but she still had to remember about her responsibilities. Too proud to say she wouldn’t make her dreams come true fast enough to pay her growing bills and way too determined to even contemplate giving up, eventually, she found a smaller town to stay in and resorted to escorting to cover her expenses.
Mateo sat with those thoughts, staring down at his phone that could provide all of those things now. "It wasn't so terrible," the man remarked, "and, believe it or not, things were much simpler back then, too. It sounds like it wouldn't be when you create a list like that but.. it was."
Ria pouted; it was such a boomer answer! We didn't have much but we loved it. We didn't have everything, but at least we interacted with one another. She had heard it from her dad, whom he loved very much and who she believed a hundred percent, but there had to be a BUT!
And then he gave her that but, and Ria smiled a little. "I do believe you, I just wanna make sure you mean it and it's not nostalgia speaking. Come on, our lives used to be simpler. How could a 5-year-old-me's life be more complicated, right?"
"Thanks, that's exactly the one I've been looking for!" Who knew spotting Ria's must-have choker on another woman's neck would turn into some online shopping a moment later? It helped a lot that the pastel witch was as extroverted as it was humanly possible, and didn't hesitate to jog out of the coffee shop as soon as she saw the blonde. "Everything happens on purpose, you know, this might seem like a little thing," she said, tapping the screen, "but I've been looking for it for ages and a series of tiny mishaps brought me here."
//anywhere, anytime. can be #gchqfourth but doesn't have to.
"Life was so hard back then. People used to have to buy separate cameras, separate alarm clocks, and separate flashlights... Imagine carrying all of that in your purse just to go to the mall!" Ria shook her head in disbelief as if people actually needed all these items all the time.
"Oh, thank you so much." Lowering down to sit on one of the benches that resided spotted along many of Carroll's roads, Aggie did her best to catch a glimpse of the raw skin there, but looked away at the sight of even the minimal amount of blood that oozed out as droplets. "I'm okay." She reassured the friendly woman, uninjured hand resting over her stomach as she let her new acquaintance patch her up. "They're just kids, and probably spoiled rich ones by the looks of that car. We get lots of them this time of year. Just feels like more lately." Maybe she was just paying more attention now that she herself was getting further and further away from that time in her life herself. "I'm Aggie. I really appreciate your help." Momentarily adjusting her aide to make sure it sat right.
Ria asked a quiet "may I" before she started cleaning the scratch, as gentle and careful as one could be. She didn't want to say asked about the baby, if Aggie - as she introduced herself - wanted to see the doctor to make sure everything was okay. Some people wouldn't consider commenting on someone's baby bump impolite, but Ria knew exactly why it wasn't a good idea; she had known for years, before she even learned how women got pregnant in the first place, or could truly understand the rule.
"I'll remember this car," she threatened the teenagers who not only couldn't hear her, but wouldn't even care. "This might sting a little, but... Okay, ready!" She smiled widely, placing the bandaid over the cut and looked up. "No problem Aggie!I'm Ria. And you're, like, the first friend I made in Carroll!"
The day had been exceptionally difficult. First, a dispute with the publisher over her latest book, then a consultation on possible murder methods, and finally, another aggressive fan trying to arrange a date with her. Going to a bar and getting high was what Natalie needed most right now. Everything would have been going according to plan if it weren't for that one guy at the bar who didn't understand the word no.
Natalie quickly glanced around the bar, took three deep breaths, and moved toward a table where only one person was sitting. She risked getting a good shouting match, but this seemed like the best way to escape. "Sorry you waited so long for me. I tried to get here as quickly as I could," she said. And before the stranger could say anything, Nat stopped a waiter passing by the table. "Two double tequilas, please."
Ria was just enjoying the evening, drinking in the atmosphere of - well - her new workplace. She appreciated how safe she felt there, thanks to the me hired specifically to protect Sada's girls. Speaking of Eden's Garden's ladies, Ria was grateful that they let her have her own mini show, where she would join other dancers during their performance, and gave them a chance to catch a breath while she presented her vocals and dancing skills.
Now it was time for her break, when someone sat at her table, acting like they had been supposed to meet there. She arched a brow in suspicion. Wait...
"Natalie??"
This was mutually unexpected!
"What a surprise, do you remember me? It's me, Ria!"
Daniel sat at a table by himself with a breakfast of little muffins and a coffee that was more cream and sugar than caffeine. He set down his cup of coffee after a satisfying sip and popped an entire mini muffin into his mouth. Daniel was mid-chew when he spotted them. His eyes widened and he waved his hand frantically to get their attention. Swallowing his muffin, Daniel pointed and choked out the words. “Your shoe’s untied.”
And this is how Ria turned into a living sculpture. Holding her iced coffee in her teeth, holding onto that plastic brim as if her life depended on it, she wrapped her fingers tightly around the items in her hands: her phone, motorcycle keys, some change, and a leaflet she'd picked up a moment ago. Standing on one leg as she lifted the other one, she then tied her Chuck Taylor, balancing on the other foot like a ballerina.
"Thanks!"
That's how she dropped the coffee, after all the acrobatics, simply because she forgot that the cup wouldn't levitate.
Well, that had been embarrassing, even if she was a little pissed off. Picking up her bike where she'd fallen off of it when the car full of teenagers basically ran her off the road, she hissed a little the scrape to her elbows and the one definitely hidden on her hip by her shorts. As much as she loved the energy of tourist season, it seemed like they got more rowdy every year. With a little wave to the person who'd rushed over to help, she sighed softly, wheeling her now bent bicycle off to the side, a hand over her stomach as she tested how she felt from the fall.
"Oh my god, let me help you." The voice was filled with concern from the get-go, with a little pause for an angry compilation of invectives. Ria wasn't fast enough to show those assholes her vexation when she picked up several large pinecones and threw them all in the car's direction. She turned to the blonde to help her with the bike and opened her purse to find a couple of useful items, such as tissues, sanitizer, and band aids. "I'm clumsy as hell. I carry these everywhere," she admitted with a chuckle. "Are you okay? God, they're not little kids anymore, they should drop the act and start learning how to live among other people without being a pain in the society's ass!"
