The Chain || Percy + Nonnie
Left, right, right. Directions, all memorised through practice and countless hours roaming through the castle after hours. When he was younger, Percy would never dare to make the journey alone - unless the particular situation was a matter of pride, like spending the entire night alone in the Shrieking Shack without wetting himself - but once he reached fourth year, everything seemed to grow a lot smaller as he grew larger. He found that there was nothing in Hogwarts for him to fear. Of course, he often got caught, but wrangling his way out of trouble was half the fun. He wouldn’t get caught tonight, however, because being so careless would mean a missed opportunity at spending some time with Nonnie, and that was the last thing he wanted.
Her hand was so small in his, but not fragile. This girl could break noses and windows with her tiny hands, and yes, he’d been victim to both of those things many a time. She was not to be trifled with, which was why, in the secret passageway behind the statue of the One-Eyed Witch, Percy thought it funny to scoop her up from behind and leg it down the tunnel. “C’mon, Stevie, we’ve got records to steal!” The unfortunate residents of Hogsmeade wouldn’t know what hit them, because ‘going to Hogsmeade for records’ usually entailed ‘going to Hogsmeade and looting every shop in sight’. They would put the stuff back, eventually… probably…
Nonnie walked beside Percy through the shadows; looking around every now and then. She was't afraid of many things, very few to be honest. But she still felt the cold on the small of her back as it gave her goosebumps along her skin. They kept quiet for the most part, mostly since the utter chaotic noise they would make when they got to the tiny wizarding village would make up for their muteness. But the silence was immediately broken by her shriek of surprise followed by her giggles. "Then you better go faster Lindsey!" She felt the coil of adrenaline in her stomach. Her and Percy were apocalyptic and poor hogsmeade would be witness to that this evening.
