fuck's sake, let me through
She slid further away from him keeping one of her arms around her middle still keeping the baby as guarded as she could. Vic shook her head. It was funny that he wanted her to tell him what had happened but he refused to tell her anything. He still kept secrets from her. “Where were you Teddy? I thought- I thought I was losing our baby and you weren’t there. I was alone and terrified and you weren’t there.” Her voice broke slightly but she tried to keep herself strong. She wasn’t going to break down she wanted to hold onto her anger. “They said it was because of the full moon. Why would there be something wrong with my baby when the moon was full?”
"I- I... I'm so sorry, Victoire. You're both okay, though, right?" He moved a little closer, about to reach his arms out towards her when he realised that she probably didn't want to be near him just then. And once he heard her voice break it took all his strength restrain himself from taking her in his arms right there and then. However, those thoughts were put to an abrupt hault as he heard two words, the very two words he didn't wish to hear, eminating from her perfect, pink lips. His hands fell to his sides as he stared wide-eyed at his girlfriend's stomach, his ears pounding. When he spoke, his voice was barely above a whisper. "They said that?" He had decided a month back, as he stood in front of the mirror in his and Victoire's bathroom, that he could cope. That he could cope with what he had brought upon himself. That he could cope because it was only once a month, after all, and he always had Victoire. It was all well and good putting his own life in danger, but the life of his child... well, he didn't think he could live with that. He had almost lost Victoire and the baby that night. But it seemed as though 'almost' wasn't a word that fit very well in the previous sentence.
