The Reflection of Rina
Rina – A quiet, introspective girl in her late teens.
Mrs. Tanaka – The elderly neighbor who lives next door.
The Reflection – A mysterious entity that appears in mirrors.
SCENE 1: Mirror
Rina’s bedroom. The room is dimly lit by the soft glow of a desk lamp. Rina sits at her desk, staring into the mirror mounted on the wall. Her reflection gazes back at her, but something feels off.
Rina (whispering to herself) "Why do you look so sad?"
Her reflection doesn't respond. Rina blinks, and for a brief moment, her reflection smiles an unsettling, unnatural grin.
Rina (startled) "What the?"
She shakes her head, dismissing it as a trick of the light. But deep down, she feels a chill creeping up her spine.
SCENE 2: Visit
The front yard of Rina’s house. Mrs. Tanaka, the elderly neighbor, approaches with a concerned expression.
Mrs. Tanaka: "Rina, dear, are you alright? I saw you talking to yourself in your room."
Rina (nervously) "I... I wasn't talking to myself."
Mrs. Tanaka (paused) "Be careful, child. Mirrors can reflect more than just your image. They can reflect your soul."
Rina watches as Mrs. Tanaka walks away, her words lingering in the air.
SCENE 3: The Reflection's Whisper
Interior – Rina’s bedroom, late at night. The room is silent, save for the soft ticking of a clock. Rina stands before the mirror again, her reflection staring back at her.
Rina (softly) "Why are you so different?"
The reflection's grin widens, and it begins to speak in a voice that isn't Rina's.
Reflection: "Because I am the real you."
Rina recoils, her heart pounding in her chest.
Rina (shouting) "No! You're not me!"
The reflection steps out of the mirror, its eyes glowing with an eerie light.
Reflection:
'Yes, I am. And now, I will take your place."
The reflection lunges at Rina, and the room fills with a blinding light.
SCENE 4 : The Aftermath
The front yard of Rina’s house. Mrs. Tanaka watches from her window as a new girl moves in next door. She looks eerily familiar.
Interior – The new girl's bedroom. A mirror hangs on the wall, reflecting her image. She smiles at her reflection, but the smile doesn't reach her eyes.
