A few months ago I was asked by the Editors in Cheif at @heroine_mag to write a piece based on conversations we’d had about my person practice, and things I’d shared about mental health via social media. The result was this: an essay on the three times my depression has put an abrupt halt to my daily life. For lack of a better word, the piece details my three breakdowns. The pairing photographs are from my ongoing (almost finished) project 6 Weeks, 4 Days, where I documented the aftermath of an abortion I had in 2015. The events around this are also included in the text. It’s an incredibly honest, rambling account that felt good to write about. Thank you to @fabienkruszelnicki and James West for asking me to be involved. If you’d like to read it, you can find it in the newest issue of Heroine Magazine, Issue 12: My Body. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9O9YPqlPiAt7a5TlDU2HbTktdrpvAnwzC3Ymo0/?igshid=fukkm4xs04jf
