I made a new Tumblr for my radio show on XRAY.FM

Mr. Ghost Goes to Town

On it, I will post links where you can hear my show, as well as other audio-visual stimuli that makes you feel all funny down there.

Each show is themed, and explores the roots, branches and mulch of rock' n' roll. I focus on wild, weird and dirty pop, novelty and dance tunes mostly from the 20s through 60s.

I'm only 1/3rd through Dan Charnas' excellent book "The Big Payback" (about the history of the hip-hop industry), and I was inspired to make a playlist of important tracks from the early days of rap music. This playlist spans from `78 to `88 and is roughly in chronological order. I'll add more as I read more. Enjoy!
