@rhode-kill liked for a starter.
It took the doctor a moment before he realized who exactly was standing before him. There weren’t that many opossum mutants that he could recall, and that day of failure in the lab was pretty clear in his memory. However, he also recognized there was no possible way she could really be standing in front of him right now. He removed his flask from his pocket, uncapped it, and took a swig.
“These hallucinations are getting ridiculous. Are you just another manifestation of my inner demons sent to haunt me? I do not have time for this right now.”
Rhode narrowed her eyes at the scientist. She was somewhat surprised he remembered her that well, and he was more calm than she expected him to be. Curious, she approached Brio slowly, tilting her head to look him over.
“Hate to disappoint you, N. Brio, but I’m real,” she said, reaching out her skeletal hand and touching the top of his head. Her hand was unnaturally cold, and the texture of her bones were rough to the touch. Then she let her hand fall down, swinging back to her side, limp. “I’m surprised you remember me and your pathetic boss doesn’t.”
