In Today's life being media and information literate is one of the most important things because a lot of things, for example, if you saw doubtful information on social media you need to have media and information literacy to be able to verify if this information is legit or not. A lot of people have been victimized by a scam or other things that are not supposed to happen because of a lack of information about these things. There are a lot of benefits to being media and information literate. Nowadays, being media and information literate is almost a requirement to live in this very confusing and evolving world. That's why we need to know how to deal with the things we see and hear in our surroundings to be able to have a peaceful and happy life. So that we will not be a hindrance and destruction to the people around us. Knowing almost nothing or nothing at all about media and information literacy is a very big disadvantage because it can cause you a lot, like money, cars, jewelries and other valuable things because you could be a victim of a lot of scams and other crimes. In the other hand being a media and information literate can give us a lot of advantage like you can easily verify the things you see in social media or you can be the source of the right information in your community. You can also help the people that is having a trouble in understanding the news and information they saw and hear their area. Having a knowledge about media and information is a very valuable thing to have not only you can help yourself and other people in understanding and verifying you can also help them protect themselves from evil things. You can also help the people around you and give them idea how media actually works. And lastly, I believe that everyone should have fair access at a right information and everyone should have a right knowledge about media. Because I believe right information is the source of right knowledge.
