I'm a 35-year-old female with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Autism. I'm a Demi-Ace Polyamorous Bisexual, a Furry, and a Wolfkin. I'm socially inept and not really bright sometimes, but I don't bite. Much. :P I can be kind of weird (as noted by the first thing in this intro XD), have trouble putting my thoughts into words often, get easily upset at the stupidest things, and I'm working on not being so involved in/interested in drama. I believe in ACAC, Black/Indigenous/Minority Lives Matter, LGBT Rights, and Police Reform. I am also Anti-Trump and Anti-ICE.

I'm a non-extremist Self-Shipper. Meaning Yoko Kurama, Astarion, Kuja, Genesis, Sephiroth, Zidane, etc. They don't belong to me and me alone. I'm not going to fight you over a fictional relationship. Though I believe in True Love Knows No Bounds, I draw the line at incestual, loli, or MAP ships. But again. I won't attack, demean, or degrade you for liking such ships. Especially since I ship Zidane x Kuja.

DNI if you're a MAP, Racist, Sexist, or a Transphobe. I don't care if you support Elon, JKR, Trump, etc. Well, I do. It would upset me knowing you supported them and were against everything I stand for. But I'm not out here to change your mind. I know that's impossible in most cases. So long as we can respectfully disagree with no hatred, that's good enough for me. I was taught to treat everyone with kindness, whether they deserve it or not. Because I never know what they're going through, or how much that simple act of respect means to them in that moment.

I spend most of my time gaming. I'm SakuraWolf23 on Twitch and YouTube, and I'm trying to get more involved in streaming as a side gig. My most common games to play are Diablo 3, Diablo 4, and Baldur's Gate 3. But I also play Final Fantasy, Hoyoverse, Spyro, .Hack//, and others.

I'm an aspiring writer! I mostly write fanfics and roleplay on Facebook, but I have several publishable projects in the works. you get a comment on tumblr. it's a bot trying to scam you. you get a DM. it's a bot trying to scam you. you get a message on instagram. its a bot trying to scam you. you're an author and you get an email telling you how much they loved your book and want to showcase it at their bookclub. it's a bot trying to scam you (and it uses bad AI to pretend it knows your story). you get a comment on ao3 saying how much they love your fic - and they made you fanart!! it's a bot trying to scam you. you get a hate comment on ao3 which insults your writing or calls you a monster for writing something "problematic". it's a bot. but at least that one isn't trying to scam you.

there's just something really cruel and insidious about this wave of scams going after creatives. You get an email and think someone genuinely loved what you made but - no. It's another scam. It's someone trying to trick you into sending them money. On AO3, it might literally just be a bot someone made specifically to be a hateful little shit.

putting the stuff you've made out there for everyone to see is hard and scary and we're all just bumping around looking for a bit of appreciation and love and connection and these bastards are using that to try to rob us. I hate it.

none of these belong to ai. these are all what human writers have been writing since day one, way before ai was invented. ai was trained to mimic how human writers write — so em dash, not x not y but z and short sentence stacking would never have been used by ai at all if ai hadn’t learned and mimicked them from human writers.

no, you are not “fighting against ai” by accusing every work that has em dash, not x not y but z or short sentence stacking in it as ai-generated, you are helping ai harm the writing community by engaging in witch hunt and scaring human writers away from creating/sharing their works for fear of being wrongly accused of using ai.

speculations, accusations and ai witch hunt harm the writing community as much as ai does, if not more.

also fanfic writers write whatever they want to read for themselves first and foremost. they didn’t write to please you, random stranger on the internet.

fanfic writers didn’t force you to read their works. they’re kind enough to let you in their house for free if you want to. if you don’t like how they decorate their own house, quietly leave instead of telling them things you want them to change about their own house to better suit your personal preferences and calling it “constructive criticism”.

if they specifically ask for one, then sure. give them that. but if they didn’t ask and if you don’t have anything nice to say, quietly leave.

this is our hobby. something we do for ourselves as a form of self care. we don’t get paid for it. and personally if I, as a fellow fanfic writer, want constructive criticism and if I want to “get better” at writing, I will ask for honest feedback from people I personally know, whose opinions I trust and value, not random strangers on the internet who, more often than not, just give me lists of things they want me to write for them and their personal likings instead of any actual constructive criticism.

FINALLY done with that chapter of my fanfic. I'll go over it one last time tomorrow and then upload it.

As much as I really wanted to play Diablo 4 today, I told myself that I couldn't do anything until that chapter got done. That it was the priority. It helped that, as usual, Blizzard had hiccups during their season launch, so the game wasn't really stable until a few hours ago.

Okay. Time for a quick run-through of my games and socials, then I can start...Hmmn. Do I want to play D4 or do I want to watch two more episodes of The Witcher? I would honestly prefer TV watching to remain right after dinner because that's when dad and I always watched something. So, guess it's D4 time! ^.^

[Writing - Fanfiction - Guardians of Sanctuary]

I gave myself a fright.

The chapter of the Diablo 3 fanfiction I'm working on is the third one regarding the Bounties. I'd just finished the scene regarding A Miner's Gold Bounty, and noticed the wiki page said that it was an Act 2 Bounty. So, I looked up the Forlorn Farmer and saw it was an Act 1 Bounty.

Then, I began to panick, thinking I'd done Acts 2 and 3 instead of Acts 1 and 2. Not that it really matters, as I can do them in any order.

So, I scroll back up to see the first chapter of Bounties I did. Read the last paragraph, and saw that it was an Act 5 Bounty. And I facepalmed as I realized that:

Yes. This is the third chapter of Bounties. But it's Any Five, Act 1, Act 2. I've not done anything wrong. I don't have to completely rework the last two chapters or find a way to fix this. Whew.

Got anywhere from 10-20 paragraphs left in this chapter. Wrap up this Bounty, gloss over the Lost Treasure of Khan Dakab, and then complete it by exploring the Mysterious Cave, mostly because I want this chapter to end on a specific scene.

[Writing - Fanfiction Question]

Writing Question. Sorry for the long read.

Today's been a productive day for working on Chapter 12 of my Diablo 3 fanfiction, Guardians of Sanctuary, and I could have written past this and came back to it later, but, knowing me, I would have forgotten to do so before I posted, and left the XXXXX placeholder in.

Anyways. I've tried my best to make the game seem reality to my OC, Wildfyre. Some background before I get to the question.

In real life, Blizzard owns Battlenet. In the fanfiction, the Battle Net Corporation is an elusive entity that no one has ever verified exists (at least, anyone who claims to have done so is clearly crazy), somehow in charge of Sanctuary, beyond the reach of the High Heavens and the Burning Hells.

In real life, at random times every three months, Diablo 3 resets you for the Season. Here, it's based on the seasons and is known as a Seasonal Journey. Each Journey of the year has a different name. Spring Tempest (taken from the Monk). Summer Companions (taken from the Demon Hunter). Autumn Whirlwind (taken from the Barbarian). And Winter Blizzard (taken from the Wizard). Not necessary to name them, I know, but I felt it gave the whole thing a bit more depth.

In real life, you create a character, choose SC/HC, and then normal or SSF or whatever it's called (though that didn't exist in season 23). Here, you go to Tristram, speak to (I forget who it was), and have your power and gear reset to start over. You are given the "blessings" of infinite life, though "death" is still painful.

In both, there are 85 tasks you must complete. Here, you are given a badge with the accomplishment name. For example, two of my favorites. Equip all the slots on a Follower to get the "Friends with Benefits" accomplishment/badge. And winning a Legendary from Kadala gets you "Hey there, Kadala", which I think is a reference to "Hey there, Delilah".

Went off-topic, but wanted to make sure you got the idea, and to brag about how well I think I've done in making it seem like a legitimate reality. And because this is where the question comes in. The 85 tasks are grouped into nine different categories/ranks. Fifth through Ninth are: Slayer, Champion, Destroyer, Conqueror, and Guardian. But the first four are: Chapter 1-4.

My question is: Using creative liberty, what should I rename those to?

One of my thoughts was basing it on Item Rank, which would be: Common, Magic, Rare, Legendary, Set, Primal.

Another idea was to base it on Monster Rank: Rare, Unique, Super Unique, Champion, Keywarden, Boss, Rift Guardian, and Uber Boss. I actually added the Keywarden and Rift Guardian into that list. The problem with that list is that Champion is already used.

Just thought of the idea of basing it on the categories themselves. Which makes me think of something like: Apprentice (because that's when you have to build up almost to max the three Artisans), Disciple/Artisan (not only should the Artisans be at max now, but you should have created several L70 items and know how to enchant and modify your own equipment), Mercenary (because that's where the Bounty tasks are), and Keeper (might change, but because you kill the Keywardens, making you the new keeper of their keys)

A combination of the three could work. But after thinking it out like this (I didn't realize dad's sounding board method worked by typing it out to yourself instead of bouncing it off someone), I'm likely going to go with the third option. ^.^
