So, Robin canonically doesn't... smell the best, right? Right. And Julian has canonically done a ton of coke.

You know what prolonged cocaine use can do to someone's nose? It can really, really, REALLY fuck with one's sense of smell! Like, up to the point where it's gone completely.

Am I suggesting one reason Julian gets along so well with Robin is that he cannot smell him? Yes, I absolutely am.

(As for why Julian still complains that the plague ghosts stink, either his sense of smell isn't completely gone and theirs is just THAT strong, or it's psychological and he expects them to smell bad by their looks.)
