“I don’t know, I’d still be having fun I think.” Her teasing tone wasn’t anything close to his, she couldn’t quite pull it off, Caitlyn shifting from one foot to another as if to prove that. She’d never really minded, part of her even envied his ability to speak freely, but there had never been a time where she judged him for it; that wasn’t what friends did, and they’d always been friends, hadn’t they? Rolling her eyes, she jut her elbow out into his side gently, “Oh no.. No we’re playing the games. I’m not going anywhere near the maze with you, I remember what your sense of direction is like.” She ignored his wink, kind of. Had she been able to, she knew a light flush might have found her cheeks at his attempt at a suggestion. “You’re horrible, we’re leaving you home next year.”
“You think? That clearly means you’d be bored within moments,” he could easily match teasing words with his own. He hardly paid mind to how hers might not live up to his own, for he’d prefer hers over others any day. He hardly had friends these days, mainly acquaintances or those he spent many Friday nights drinking with, but no one even came close to Caitlyn. She’d been his friend since playground days, and that meant more to Rhys than anyone truly knew. Her elbow pushing gently into his side garnered a low chuckle, his hand rubbing at the spot as if it truly hurt. “My sense of direction? Please, I wasn’t the one that got us lost last time.” He countered easily, shaking his head while his hand dropped from his side. “Come on, I know you’d miss me. I’m the life of the party.” He held a serious look upon his features before he was laughing, slinging an arm across her shoulders. “What game do you want to play first?”
