So I know I’ve been away for quite a bit—I think I’m going to drop the few threads that I have and start anew. I’ve had quite a bit of anxiety about coming back due to the drafts I owe ‘n I honestly just want a fresh start! I’m sorry if that’s an inconvenience but this is how it’s gonna be for my own sanity.

Small Hiatus!
I know I owe at least three of you replies, but I’m still on the mend from being sick & I honestly do not have the motivation to do things on here. I’ll be on my other oc blog @voidsouled if anyone needs to find me to talk!

dom watches the stranger intently. it isn’t often anyone gets this close, let alone someone he doesn’t know. but he doesn’t really have a choice, does he? so he sits in silence as the other works at the wound. they don’t seem surprised at dom’s confession, watching as they pour solution onto his wound. if he would’ve been hurt by anything else he could’ve healed himself…but healing from an angel’s wound is a little harder to tackle.
the silence between them is comfortable at least. he tilts his head as he watches the stranger. just by sniffing them he can tell what they are which only annoys him. vampires were really not his favorite…but maybe this one had a bit more common sense.
“ ….name’s dom. ” he finally grumbles, moving his gaze from rhys to the wall.
“Rhys Driscoll.” They fall back into comfortable silence, tending to the wound as best they can. Once they are certain it is clean Rhys gently pats it dry. It stains their fresh towel pink but they don’t mind too much—it’s nothing that a little bleach would be able to fix. “Okay, I’m going to do a basic wrap. It might feel a little tight, but that’s just to make sure it doesn’t start bleeding again.”
Soft hands work diligently to wrap the wound. Before long the task is complete and Rhys uses medical tape to hold the bandage together. “You should probably get this changed again in a couple days. You could either go to a doctor’s office for that—ask a friend to do it for you—or I suppose you could come back here. I’d say changing bandages isn’t out of my scope of practice.”

Gabriel does not think anything of the hand extended towards him and accepts it without any second thought——curling his fingers ‘round the other’s bloodied own with neither GRIMACE nor DISCOMFORT. (it’s a much less jarring sight than Rhys’ torso a mere few moments ago, making it so hardly enough to make Gabriel any serious degree of uncomfortable.) And the very moment with which he’d taken the ‘pire’s hand——they’ve arrived at their intended location. Such means of altering locations always took less than a second, though its effects could sometimes be felt for a grand ten or so minutes thereafter. (though with Rhys’ experience amidst ‘void-walking’, they’re surely not bound to feel any sort of REPERCUSSION for traveling by these means.) ‘Twas the fastest route——to merely turn the world beneath them ‘til they then stood where they so desired: the bedroom of Rhys’ manor, a point deduced as a safehouse.

What is it that you require for proper recovery?❞ Blood, Gabriel assumes——though he much doubts that he could lend his own. For some subspecies of vampires, it burned like HOLY FIRE, and others had found it so temptingly sweet, to the point of wanting to gorge themselves on it ‘til they overfilled. (which Gabriel had thought was impossible, ‘til he learned otherwise.) Nevertheless, it’d be improper to try and gauge which reaction of the two that they would have, and so the Archangel gestured to their bed with caution——unwilling to extend opposite arm out too far, lest he needed to suddenly CATCH them. ❝I don’t suppose you are the kind to tote about blood bags?❞ (it didn’t hurt to ask, even if it felt awfully cliché .)
Void walking is nearly instantaneous, but this is overly so. With a mere blink Rhys is in their own home and safe. If it weren’t for the blood loss they would be holding onto Gabriel’s hand tightly—instead their grip is loose as their knees wobble a little. “Wow. That was...really fast.” Whatever Gabriel is, they’re thousands of times over more powerful than Rhys. It sends a shiver down their spine. At least Gabriel is helping them and not hunting them. Rhys tries to smile but it looks more like a grimace. Already their body is working toward stitching itself back together—faster than usual, if only because the crystal is holding their torso in place. They let go of Gabriel’s hand,not wanting to further come off as needy.
“Honestly? Blood.” They’re on a razor’s edge right now—not quite feral, but the scent of their own blood is making them dizzy with want. Rhys takes a wobbling step toward the mini fridge on the other side of the room. They realize now they won’t have the dexterity to remove the lock. “I do. Cliche, isn’t it?” With a groan they sit on their bed. The sheets will be ruined, but that’s the least of their worries right now. “The code to the lock is 1357. If you...don’t mind getting it for me, that is.”

He wasn’t the kind to care about what was healthy - often he partook of human food that was far from his natural diet. In fact, truffle oil was probably much better for him than the sugary sweets he often consumed. (Truth be told he wasn’t really aware of the nutritional value of many things - aside for this is bad for you or this is good for you, and no possible in-betweens.) With no hesitation the fox jumped off the sill and into the kitchen. He sat on the ground rather than upon any surface, for he didn’t wish his invitation to be revoked due to being a “filthy animal” with “no manners”, and looked expectantly up at the other, like any creature awaiting a meal.
How cute! Rhys cannot help but to give the fox a warm smile. They scoop some of the eggs onto an extra plate before setting it down on the floor for the fox to eat. “There you go. You’re quite big for a fox, you know? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one your size before.” They could sense something off about the creature...something that did not seem entirely normal. At the same time, they did not feel that the creature means any harm, so until that changes Rhys will welcome him into their home. Rhys takes a fork and their own plate and begins eating the tasty meal. It’s not as if they’re normal either. In fact, they’re far from human. Perhaps the fox knows this, perhaps he does not. Either way, it’s certainly nice to have some company.

marko had always had a safe place with david, but things were a bit complicated whenever their own coven had been under attack. there is only so much you can do, you know? things were different now. things were strained. it wasn’t really anyone’s fault, it was more on the lines that marko couldn’t bring himself to sleep. marko couldn’t bring himself to eat and whenever he did, it was always too much. things were different now. marko was different. getting staked in the chest when in a dead sleep can do that to a vampire. “yeah. warmin’ up.”
“Is there anything else you’d like?” Rhys is unaware of the struggles of Marko’s life—in fact, they are completely blind to them. Perhaps it is best that way. Sympathy is one thing, but Rhys assumes that pity would draw Marko’s ire. They sip on their own hot chocolate, blissfully ignorant, though not entirely clueless. They can take a good guess and assume that Marko’s life has been...difficult.
