Do you think that Wrecker and Lord Shocktopus will get back together?
If so, then that means one thing…
Lightspeed will have two fathers were once villains, one who has gotten his love of villainy back, the other who has now made a peaceful life of owning a restaurant.
Oh, no, they’ll become friends again, but what happened to Lightfoot’s mom and, ultimately, what he finds out about that situation that wasn’t known to the world lead to him not wanting to date again, even if the opportunity did come up. Besides, his villains are his family now, and so are Lightfoot and, eventually, the other heroes. He doesn’t need a romantic partner to live a fulfilling life. Plus shocktopus does have a daughter so I’m not really sure what his love life really is like at this point.
Also, he’s not given up a life of crime, he’s like. The best thing I can compare him to is fat tony from the Simpsons, a comedically wholesome but still dangerous mafia boss using a restaurant as a cover for his shady dealings.
Ah, got it.
Because after learning that Wrecker and Lord Shocktopus used to date, my immediate thought is that they are perfect shipping fuel.
And the fact that Dr. Shocktopus has a daughter, I wonder if said daughter is going to be a friend to Lightspeed or not.
I actually not sure yet, she was originally conceived as the villain team’s electric character, a punk rock musical pirate with an energy hook guitar. Ultimately she was turned into the gadgety superscience villain jolt for plot reasons, but went character I cut from clash still exists in canon, they just get a different role. There are a couple episode concepts where they meet, including one where her powers go haywire and her and lightfoot have to fight to burn off her extra energy while wrecker and jolt invent a solution, one where Tonia and lightfoot try to set wrecker up on a blind date using an app and it just creates the most awkward possible situation (to clarify ALL of the characters in clash are adults, just to be clear.), and one where shocktopus convinces wrecker to take her on as an assistant at the junkyard for school credit and they bond, leaving wrecker feeling like he lost his chance at being part of a family who would’ve really understood him and who he wouldn’t have had to hide his past around, but she helps him realize that he has a new family and that lightfoot accepts him even when he’s actively BEING a villain. Ultimately that last one ended up feeling too contrived for the characterization wrecker had even if I like where that story landed, and the other two just didn’t fit the season structure, but I’m sure I’ll find a role for her eventually

How many episodes are there going to be of Lego Clash?
Is it going to be the usual 13? Or it's going to be 10 Episodes for first half, and 10 Episodes for the second half?
I plan the show out in arcs of three seasons. With the intent that each season would be 20 episodes at 22 minutes each. Currently, I have planned out roughly 180 episodes, six specials, and a finale movie.
Ooh!
Honestly, it's very fitting. Considering that any theme that isn't Ninjago tends to last for 3 years.
But honestly, I can't wait!
Yeah the idea is that every 3 years the storyline ends and new characters take over for the next arc, that was you get a satisfying ending for characters while still letting it continue. So the first arc is about wrecker and lightfoot, then trickshot and knightguard take over as the main characters, etc
How many episodes are there going to be of Lego Clash?
Is it going to be the usual 13? Or it's going to be 10 Episodes for first half, and 10 Episodes for the second half?
I plan the show out in arcs of three seasons. With the intent that each season would be 20 episodes at 22 minutes each. Currently, I have planned out roughly 180 episodes, six specials, and a finale movie.
So we know the heroes and the villains of Lego Clash, but what about the side characters?
A few relevant ones for the first season
Charlie the mech fighter
A superpowerless girl who Ufmo has a huge crush on, the two get together early in the series and she occasionally comes in to either work at the junkyard with wrecker or help the heroes and villains with their vehicles. Plays a huge role in the final battle where her and Mo pilot a giant mech together to help hold off the aliens
Tonia
A pangolin themed girl who has been living in the junkyard, has a crush on Lightfoot and is a major force of chaos, unlike wrecker’s chaos for the sake of evil, Tonia is just mega impulsive and loves living every day to the fullest. Due to her pangolin features she has a prehensile tail, sharp claws, and armored skin.
Mayor Briggs
An amnesiac, superpower-less guy who genuinely loves battle titan city. He sometimes calls on the heroes for help with threats, and does what he can to keep wrecker and his villains out of jail since they never really hurt anybody. Unbeknownst even to himself, he’s an alien superhero with crystal based powers, sent to earth with no memories to stop him from defeating the alien commander
Briefs cameo
A captain underpants parody who can’t be on screen longer than 30 seconds.
Lord shocktopus
Wreckers ex boyfriend, an electrical themed squid guy who now runs a seafood restaurant in town. Wrecker’s been too awkward to go and apologize for how things ended between them, but they’ll run into eachother in an episode exploring wreckers backstory
Boa constructor
A construction worker with snake arms who has beef with knight guard after she knocked over some scaffolding he needed at the museum.
Jay “voltage” walker
A mechanic who brings wrecker old props from the ninjago tv filming set in exchange for being able to scavenge parts from the junkyard for personal projects. Jay was originally just the props guy for ninjago, but his banter with the main actors got him a bit role that eventually lead to him being written into the main cast of the show when they filmed the pilot special
I’ve made a couple hundred characters to fill out this world so I may talk about more of them another time!
Do you think Lego Clash and Lego Chaos Systems would do a crossover?
Probably not, chaos systems could crossover with most of my LEGO story ideas pretty easily, but clash is much harder to work in crossovers for due to the fact that it’s a world where everyone has superpowers. If the characters from clash can show up, then I have to justify why none of the characters in the other story have powers. Unless it is a Multiverse type story, but if I’m going to do that, it would be more interesting in my mind to have it crossover with other pre-existing Lego themes, not my own stories.

So I saw your idea of a Lego Edutainment Show which is 'Chaos Systems', and I think it's creative!
I wouodn't be surprise that it'll get a game similar to the Humongous Entertainment Games. Because it's definitely screams 'Humongous Entertainment Games'.

Out of the villainous parents I could think of…
Those being Lord Garmadon from Ninjago, Ruina Stoneheart from Nexo Knights, DBK and/or Princess Iron Fan from Monkie Kid, the Night Hunter from Dreamzzz…
Which of these villainous parents would Wrecker most likely team up with?
Probably night hunter or garmadon, depending on the context. He’s actually a good dad, so he wouldn’t want to work with the bull fam or ruina since they’re awful to their kids (the bull fam gets better later but still.).garmadon is a weird case bc in clash ninjago is a tv show, garmadon is an actor and they’re actually fans of eachother, wrecker likes how garm uses destruction powers in the show and finds his acting in scenes with lloyd impressive, and garmadon actually used to follow wreckers villain career before he retired, there’s a storyline in the intended second season where they’d meet eachother
What are your Headcanon Voices for Lego Clash?
I don’t have many, but I do specifically picture wrecker as Dana Snyder (same way he voices scratch in the ghost and Molly McGee), smokebomb as Ben Schwartz (ref to Randy Cunningham) and knight-guard as Monika ray (miko from glitch techs) also lego seems to always throw Vincent tong in there somewhere so maybe he gets mayor Briggs
Well I know that the first two fit very well. (Plus I have the mental image of Wrecker swearing like Master Shake, who was also voiced by Dana Snyder)
I haven't Glitch Techs, but I bet it would fit.
And of course, if you're going to have an Original Lego Theme, Vincent Tong will most likely be there.
In fact, I even headcanon that a character from my Original Lego Theme, Lego: Magnum Opus is voiced by Vincent Tong.

Does Wrecker have standards to when it comes to being a villain?
Yes, wrecker fights for chaos and if he feels he’s been personally wronged. He doesn’t try to hurt anyone unless they’ve personally wronged him, like the local food truck owner who he genuinely hates, or he knows 100% they can take it and it adds to the chaos, like Lightfoot and the other heroes.
The best I can describe wrecker’s morals and standards as a villain is basically the same as Dr doofenshmirtz but with more active combat since he’s fighting actual superheroes.
In Lego Clash, what character do you enjoy writing the most?
Wrecker definitely, he’s a good mixture of having moral complexity and an engaging story, but also just being an energetic and impulsive weirdo so I can pull off a wide range of stories using him. Plus I love gadget based characters, so wrecker being super focused on mechs and vehicles let’s me play around with him a lot in that way

A fun wrecker bit relating to something I’m currently working on building, he has a habit of naming things really stupidly. One episode required me to write him out since his powers would make the solution to the problem of the episode too easy, so I start the episode off with him debuting a new mech, a transforming truck-mech he calls “Optimus crime” which leads to him being tackled by lawyers and having to go to court over the name.
In Lego Clash, what character do you enjoy writing the most?

I know that Lego has done themes where a hero is the child of a villain (Ninjago, for example.), but your take on it is unique!
Having the villain going through a midlife crisis, is perfect! I love it!
And the fact that you're making a pilot of it, it's exciting!

And yeah, a little bit of behind the scenes stuff, early on the show was a LOT more self referential to lego themes as a whole, including things like Trickshot being a minidoll or atleast being from heartlake city originally, knight-guard’s spirit friend being one of the fright knights, Smokebomb being more explicitly a ninjago expie, and a bionicle themed gladiator replacing reverb on the hero team. Wrecker and Lightfoot’s dynamic was explicitly meant to parody movie lloyd and garmadon’s dynamic at that point, and it’s one of the few elements of that version of the story that has stuck around even with a lot of the brand nods removed.

It's really creative!
Yeah I do think it worked and would be cool as like, a theme for a line of collectable minifigs, but it put too much limit on what the characters could be for clash. Fun fact tho, the alien commander who is the big bad for the first season is actually unchanged from that concept, she’s a zotaxian from the 90’s “ufo” theme, just with upgraded armor!
