Rian knows she needs to eat better - the only good quality meals she approves of are the ones she’s eaten at the firehouse with her coworkers because there’s vegetables on the plate.

She’s not overly fond of her room at the Malnati. Her house back home in Georgia though? Oh she misses it like crazy. That little ranch house with acres on acres for her and her horse to run are the stuff of dreams to her.

The day was bright. The sun was out and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Evie took it as the perfect day to find some new friends. She had been cooped up for the past few days doing work and couldn’t wait another moment. Evie was a naturally outgoing person and not having anyone to talk to was incredibly frustrating. She decided to go on a walk and ended up at the food carts with her stomach grumbling. She ordered some tacos and in a split minute decision, paid for the person behind her hoping they would be able to strike up a conversation. She smiled and left the line, waiting near by to hear her name.

She’d been on her way back in from the station - a rather uneventful one where she was in charge of washing the engines (a task no one truly enjoyed doing). Before stopping in at the kennel to pick up Freckles, she’d decided to grab food and the nearest option that sounded appealing was the taco truck. She’s fumbling for her wallet to pay the cashier when he states that the meal was paid for already. Rian’s looking around and sees the woman seemingly content with herself and approaches her. “Were you the mysterious dinner buyer?”
