Since the duffels didn’t even view her as a real person and just a plot device, a lot of people struggle with drawing or writing her doing things she likes so here is a list of interest or things I think El would have loved :)

Strawberry flavored lipgloss, Wonder Woman comics, iridescent stickers, watching old romance films (Aubrey Hepburn is her favorite actress), math, arts and crafts, scrapbooking, roller skating (before Angela), Madonna, playing charades, the color purple, physical touch, colorful clothing, slouch socks, collecting hit clips (she made it to the 2000s idc), Walking into a Sketchers store in the mall with Max just to fill her purse up with the free gum balls, raspberry pie, dipping her fries in strawberry ice cream, playing the piano, Valentine’s Day, stealing Hopper’s old cassette tapes and recording radio music over them, Karaoke, sewing (Joyce taught her), music boxes, Cyndi Lauper, Sprite, seeing babies in public, diorama making, cuffing her jeans, making forts, and bowling.

I still can’t believe they ended Stranger Things with Robin and Nancy both single despite having their own prestablished love interests, living under two hours away from each other in the state that first legalised gay marriage, and heavily implying that Nancy - complete with gay haircut and power suit - is into women while Robin unashamedly flirts with her. Oh, and now they’re meeting up on the regular with Steve and Johnathan because no one understands them like each other.

How did we get here? How did this happen? How did they manage to queer code a character so deeply on accident? How did all the stars align for this outcome? I’m so baffled.

we dont talk enough about how winona rider was literally the face of stranger things back when season one was released. she was the thing that got most people watching and got this show to the level of fame that it became eventually with her amazing performances in the first season. then the fifth season came along and reduced her down to someone who makes quirky one-liners, someone whose arc is literally just "learning to not be an overbearing mother to her son", and someone who just becomes a cop's wife at the end. apparently the original ending for joyce wasn't to use the axe to chop vecna's head off, and winona had to suggest it to be her.

justice for joyce actually, justice for all female characters on this show.
