hello, tumblr! missed you:) have a bit of a backlog of art i haven’t been able to consistently cross post—if you have a tiktok i’ve had an easier time keeping things up to date there, i post speedpaints and amvs there as well<3 but i don’t want to abandon tumblr i love tumblr so i’m going to try harder to keep posting in both places!

there’s a few things about the way i’ve posted here historically that have made it difficult for me to continue so i’m going to stop putting so much pressure on myself in those ways and just kind of put my art out there however i like. these will probably not be super noticeable so i’m not going to announce what exactly it will be that i’m going to do differently but if you do notice a shift in the way i’m posting my energy levels and cognitive abilities are why 💜

the most important announcement is that, for the first time since i first made this blog almost ten years ago, i’m changing the username!

i’ve wanted to do this for so long, i have such a personal connection to the new name and it really feels like Me.

as always thank you guys for being here for my art journey, it really means the world to me to have some of you along for the ride as long as you have been. i’m excited to begin this new chapter with you all!

i’ve been a bit all over the place this year artistically, partially due to motivation problems and partially due to managing chronic illness. all that aside, i’m super proud of myself for making the artistic strides i did this year despite that (i was in a zine! i made another calendar!) and dutifully continuing the still studies (and learning to pace myself on those too…). i even have a tiktok now where i post speedpaints! i think the burst of inspiration i got at the end of the year reminded me to chase my muse, and pursue whatever i’m most passionate about at any given moment as that’s where the artistic growth and magic always lies. art is like medicine for me, it shouldn’t feel like a job or a chore❣️ thank you all for supporting me, new and old followers, i appreciate your presence in my life greatly! 🫶🏻
