I am sure you guys have noticed i haven't been active much lately. I have been dealing with a lot mentally--ill live in the states--and just haven't had the motivation to draw rn.

I am taking a little break for now. I am so, so tired.

It was never sunshine and rainbows. This is a more real take on their dynamic. I imagine Derek makes her call him "Daddy" to trigger her. Look where that got you Derek. Six feet under.

Berny's final snap after months of trying to convince herself that this was what she deserved. She had even convinced herself that she loved him, but her sanity just became more and more tainted. And now she was finally free, but at the cost of forever remembering him.

What could Matt(that mf brother) possibly do to our gal Madeline(when Derek's around and not around)? Well if ever the two would come across.

More old asks BUT I want to answer since I have been thinking about this more.

Initially I thought about just having him mess with her but that felt like a wasted opportunity. Instead I like the idea of him trying to use Madeline to take out his brother so he can inherit the company their dad owns. She already almost took Derek out once so why not give her tools to try again? If she dies in the process, who cares? Just less trash to deal with later.

I imagine it slow, in the beginning he offers Madeline a shoulder to cry on, gives her a "safe space" (his room, oop) when Derek isn't around and then starts planting the idea in her head. Matt promises her freedom, money, safety, whatever will give her the gumption.

Matt convinces Madeline to try and poison Derek with a drink but fails due to Derek being able to tell what that looks like and rocks Madeline to the point of near death. He debates killing her on the spot but decides against it because at this point he has become attached to some degree.

After her failure, Matt will pretend Madeline doesn't exist and Derek will revert back to his more aggressive, brutal treatment of her for awhile because of feeling betrayed.

Madeline Cox belongs to @ribz4liverz🥺❤️ They're just a little silly and that's ok. I wanted to do something better but alas I had to do this quick, still pretty busy with work and packing. Taking a lot longer than I planned but we live for the chaos, I guess.

This is definitely a stretch for Derek's character once again but he's cute so I'll let him get away with it.

Aftermath...

I think that after the events of last years hunt, the group invests in a small bunker where they kind relax for the evening without being disrupted (unless they don't want to). It's nothing fancy, basically a concrete box with maybe a few rooms. Anyway, I decided to polish this sketch as practice coloring in Clip. One day I'll adjust to this program, I hope. OTL.
