Richard Burdick's Color Contrasts for solo horn, Op. 122 (Dec. 2000)
A very cool seemingly out of tune solo horn work.

Listen/purchase: CD103: Handsome Horn Solos vol. 3, Op. 332 by Richard_O_Burdick
These solo have changed! Volume 1 (1-16) was playable on natural horn, Vol. 2 (17-32) got harder and a few were written for natural horn, but with a valve key change. NOW Vol. 3 (33-48) are too hard for natural horn and I added a drum set!
Finally a natural horn recording again!

9 - 9 - A special day
"35 years ago today, on September 9, 1990, I achieved a lifelong dream: I won the 4th horn position with the Sacramento Symphony, securing my first full-time symphony job! In my 20s, I gave myself a deadline—to land a symphony role by 30. This moment was the culmination of years of hard work, practice, and perseverance. 🎶 Grateful for every note of the journey! What’s a dream you’ve chased and achieved? Share your story below! 👇 #MusicJourney #MilestoneMoments"
