        There had been a time when Harry and Gwen, the Gwen from his universe did share everything. That’s what you did with the people you loved - but this Gwen - the Gwen from a different universe was not his Gwen. It was a lot to wrap his head around still. Reaching a hand behind his head, he rubbed his neck awkwardly. “Yeah,” he handed her his coffee to drink. “Anyway, what’s up? How’s this universe?”

       Looking down at what he was wearing, a frown pulled at the corner of his lips as he analyzed his outfit. “What’s wrong with it?” It wasn’t something he would have picked out for himself but sometimes it was easier to appease the Board of Directors than fight them. He had chosen to wear what the recommended for the evening, something about being seen in a designer that would help raise money and interest for the event he was supposed to be attending later that night.

      Harry didn’t know what he was supposed to do to mend the so called gap. Leaning against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, he stared at the other man. Everything felt so self explanatory, like it didn’t need to be told word by word. Obviously that wasn’t the case though. “I don’t know what you want me to do to fix that.” He finally replied after a moment of silence.

        Harry couldn’t bring himself to look MJ in the eyes. He was used to lectures, growing up with a father who - if he wasn’t absent - was berating him. It was different coming from MJ though. He had never wanted to disappoint her. He held her and Peter’s opinion in high regard, only really caring what the pair thought about him anymore. “I don’t know.” His voice was soft, a whisper just audible over the loud buzzing of a large neon sign nearby. “It’s not like anyone actually cares. They just pretend like they do. I bet the board members would throw a party if something happened to me.”

Never did she tell him off when he wasn’t sober because it was to hard to do so, he had this tendency to looked like a wounded puppy - those are the times she tends to hold back on him, his self pity was enough to eat at him. But any other time it was fair game, hunting season open on Harry if he steps out of line because it was like he didn’t see his potential, she didn’t want him to try to throw it away even if it meant she’d be blue in the face just reminding him of his own light that it can over come the darkness. He caught her when her aunty Anna died, he was the one she went to after Gwen because she knew Peter would be grieving in his own way for the loss of her. So, she went to her rock - the one who is always there for her - no matter how how the tides are, he’s there for her and making her smile when she fears she’d never smile again. The redhead tries to return the sweetest gesture anyone has ever done for her, angels like him are rare to come by and need to be cherished just as they do to others.

The soothing gesture from his thumb reassured her, she had made the right choice in leaving New York and New York would forgive her she was assure of - though it was a city she treated it much like a person from the sheer fact of the history shared between her and the city. If she was to ever die the fluoride from drinking the water from New York would show in her autopsy, so it was much of a living thing to her as people. Speaking of something that stays with you to the end, that was the type of person MJ was no matter what she sticks like super glue threatening to never let go until the bitter end. Besides, misery likes company… that company that made her not feel like a broken doll which was Harry Osborn. “Yes, glamorous from its rich history to the amazing things it produces. And I don’t Broadway can be not so pretty sometimes, I once had a rat claim my rehearsal shoes as its home.” She let off a small insignificant laugh. The strawberry blonde had gotten used to Harry how he opens up to a certain point, then he’s a closed book charmed to never ever be opened for the viewing of those even close to him. She didn’t fault him for it though but she’d always be here if he ever truly opened himself, knowing it must be damaging thing for him - worrying, so. “Duh, it oozes Oscorp.” Scrunching up her nose in slight distain for Oscorp… nope, more for the haunting vibes of the place. “Oh, I bet because you are calling the shots now. Completely agree, unlike both Stark and Wayne, you happened to actually grow up on well their ideas to form brighter and better ones to differ yourself from the other companies - which is totally cray in like a good way.” She had complete faith also very much a lack of knowledge when it came to running a company or what truly Oscorp did, because when she was younger there was something about spider silk now it is a different things. With Harry in-charge the future of the company might have a brighter future. 

MJ did want to go to Athens the supposed birth place of acting but honestly, she was truly happiest wherever her loved ones where. So, wherever Harry wants to go she’ll go possibly try to convince Peter to come with them as he needs a break for how hard he had been going at it since they got to Gotham. Of course, her own eyes drifted downwards towards his lips it was automatic thing when someone mentions that one simply four letter word. Quickly, dropping her gaze further, letting go of Harry’s upper forearm to step inwards lightly poking at his chest. “You’re totally right, I might get cooties from you…” MJ said up to him, stepping in front of him, releasing his hand in the process, giving a couple more poking jabs to him playfully. “I haven’t had my cootie shot yet, if I spend a second longer with you I may contract the strain.” She spoke all squinty, blaming it on watching to much bones. Before she smiled at him, quickening her step as she walked backwards making sure to keep out of reach of Harry.

          He couldn’t find an argument against New York producing great things. The city had a tendency to do that. After all, it had created her and she was the most amazing thing in the world. There was no one quite like Mary Jane Watson. She was entrancing and fun. She breathed life back into Harry right when he thought the weight of the world would crush him beneath it. Unlike Peter, she was carefree. MJ knew how to enjoy life even with all the grief she carried in her heart. If he could choose to be just like her, he would have, but there was more going on his head that didn’t allow for that. He couldn’t just allow the Goblin to take over. Not after last time. “How are you going to use the words glamourous and rat when talking about the same city?” He let out a laugh, knowing that New York did have its own charm even with the cat-sized rats that ran around the sewer, making guest appearances on the streets every now and then. Harry listened to MJ, turning to look at her with a raised brow as she spoke about him as Oscorp’s CEO. “Are you trying to sell yourself as my spokesperson? You’re hired.” He teased, a mischievous spark hidden behind his grin. 

          Harry stopped walking, an automatic reaction to the feeling of her release his forearm. “You haven’t had you cootie shot yet? I thought they gave those out in like third grade. How have you survived this long without it? Are you sure you don’t already have cooties?” Harry challenged, hiding his pout as she dropped his hand. Stretching his fingers, he tried to ignore the feeling of loss without her hand intertwined with his. If not for the space she put between them, he would have reached back out, pulling her towards him once again. Instead he watched her carefully, waiting for the opportunity to present itself again. Sliding his hands into the pockets of his black slacks, he relaxed his shoulders. Despite the loss, the was a wave of relief that washed him over at the realization that she didn’t actually want to kiss him. It was a line they were yet to cross, a line that they danced around, tiptoeing closer and closer to as the years passed. He knew that once they had breached it there was no going back. They weren’t ready for that. It would change things. Things were fine the way they were, the way they had always been. It wasn’t like he could let her any closer. If he did, she would find out about the Goblin and just like everyone else in his life - she would abandon him too. It was his curse.

               “I see.” She needed to be far more cautious when exploring this new type of magic, Sylvie decided. She couldn’t afford to be so foolish in such a city of Gotham. Though, she refuted the idea of practicing with Loki, she didn’t want his concern or worry. It was too personal. She needed to find someone else capable of practicing with. He didn’t believe in magic, something common among humans, but Sylvie didn’t care to educate them. If the boy was lucky he could continue living in his ignorance. “A hospital is unnecessary,” She dismissed. “I only need time to rest and recharge, I’ll be find afterward.” All Sylvie had done was attempt to do something above her current capabilities, she just needed to rest from it, that was all (she convinced herself).

        The magic thing was weird but he let it go. Maybe she was a magician for a living and a trick went wrong. The people of Gotham were strange but it wasn’t anything he wasn’t used to. New York had its far share of oddballs. “Okay,” her replied. Harry hadn’t wanted to have her taken to the hospital anyway. That would have been a publicity nightmare so he was more than willing to allow her to stay on his couch until she was ready to go back to wherever she had come from. “The couch is yours til you’re ready then.” He told her, gesturing to the couch she was already laying down on. “Need some coffee or something? Water?”

           Harry had always been a bit of a weird kid. Though he had nothing on Peter, back in the day, Peter took the cake for being the weirdest. Still, the type of weird Gwen was familiar with from Harry was nothing like this. There was a clear something was more the matter then Gwen knew, she just wished she knew what it was. “You’re looking at me like I’m a ghost.” She said softly, and the look would have been more appropriate if she had been dressed like her alter ego but right now she was in her civvies. She was just Gwen, what was so scary about Gwen Stacy in this world? In her own world Harry’s father had been something of a supervillain, but who knows what occurred in this one. For all she knew, Peter was alive (and the thought of that made her heart swell too, she missed her best friend). Gwen frowned, growing tired of Harry’s wide eyed stare. He was her friend. He obviously recognized her, so what was that look for? Was she some sort of evil mastermind in this reality? Did she do something wrong? She was tired, trekking around a whole new world did that to a person. Finally seeing a familiar face had been a relief but he was looking at her like– dang it Harry. “Whats there to get?” She asked him. “You’re probably over thinking things like always,” Yep that felt like the most likely scenario. “Anyhow I’m pretty wiped out, so could you maybe just give me a hug instead of starting at me like I’m ET?”

         “Because you are one.” Harry said without much thought. He saw her face everywhere: in his peripheral vision or when any blonde walked by him. He saw her in the woman that he had slept with the other day. She haunted him, never letting him forget what he had done. “You being here.” He replied simply. She had died. People didn’t just come back to life. Not when you’ve buried them in the ground, lowered the casket and shoveled six feet of dirt over them. She had been gone for years. Maybe this was it. He had finally snapped and the Green Goblin was going to take over his psyche. Something about it felt off though; He couldn’t feel the Goblin like he normally could. His voice wasn’t echoing around in his mind, spitting poison into his thoughts. “I can’t overthink that much, Gwen.” This wasn’t something he could overthink. Peter or MJ would agree. She was dead, she was supposed to be dead. How was she standing before him alive as the day he had let the Goblin take control? It didn’t make sense. Shaking his head, he took a step back from her. “How are you here? Are you a zombie or something?”

           Harry opened his eyes as she demanded, avoiding eye contact immediately looking off into the distance so he didn’t have to look her in the eyes. He couldn’t. Not after what he - no, not him - after what the Goblin had done to her. He could still remember it. The way his hands had just let go, dropping her so maliciously. He had wanted to hurt Spider-Man, to get back at him and it seemed clear how much he cared for Gwen. Why had it been her? Why couldn’t it have been someone else? Someone he didn’t know. Someone he didn’t care about. Someone he didn’t consider a friend. It would have made it all easier. Losing her had been one of the hardest things he had ever gone through because it was the first death he had caused that meant something. Gwen’s death cut him to the core. It had changed Harry; making him want to be better. It was the reason he took the pills and buried the Goblin under any substance he could get his hands on. He couldn’t live with himself and knowing what he had done to her. A part of Harry had died that day with her and it was something he suffered alone. Peter and MJ would never know. They couldn’t know because if they did then he would lose them too. “I don’t get it...” The billionaire finally managed weakly.

“You think I’m cute?” The question that tumbled from Peter’s lips shouldn’t have been the first thing he thought of when Harry spoke. His mind should’ve still been occupied with Michelle. With flushed cheeks, he turned his head to smile at his friend. “You’re cute too, man. In a, you know… handsome, just friends way.” How did he always manage to make things sound more awkward than they needed to be? On top of his Spidey powers, he had that useless talent, too. “But yeah, uhh, I think Michelle not being here is a serious problem, Harry. She’s the only person who wants to kiss this mug,” he said, gesturing to his face.

        “Of course.” He smirked, peering over at Peter when asked the question. In high school, before everything happened, Harry had a huge crush on the other. He tried to blame it on the fact that Pete had been his first real friend but as he got older it became clear to himself that it was because he was bisexual and that his friend was the first person he had grown to know intimately. Things had changed though. His childhood crush was gone and the love he held for Peter was platonic. He couldn’t let him in any closer than that because of the Goblin. Harry was scared to let anyone close in fear of them finding out. “That’s what they say,” he referred to the tabloids. “You’re never gonna stop getting weird when I compliment you, are you?” He laughed, moving to sit beside his best friend. “Well, did you invite her? Kinda hard for her to know you want her here if you don’t tell her. Unless she’s got Jedi mind tricks or something.” His smirk grew into a mischievous smile. “Are you sure about that? I’ll kiss you right now to prove you wrong.”

Tolerating shit from other people, she effortlessly dealt with on a daily bases and usually she dish it right back out to them but the one person she faulted in pure denial was Harry, never did she allow him to feel like she was merely tolerating him because it wasn’t true. Taking on his woes, nursing him and being there in his times of need was what good friends do or was that what enablers do, she was never certain crossing the wires over when it came to him. He was her soft spot. On these benders, she wondered if she should ever call Peter over for them to stage an intervention for Harry but what if it only made matters worse - having witness and dealt with an alcoholic father. MJ just didn’t want him to become that type of monster consumed by gluttony, every time it got bad and she was about to call Pete, Harry would come out sober which baffled her to her core that whenever she was about to get help, he was good. Has to be all coincidental.

A broken smile tugged at the corners of her lips when he played along with her, making her cock her head to the side to gaze up upon him, a beautiful disaster of a human being. Well, when he was in this toeing inebriated state and seeing him like this made all her anger, jealously melt away as her friend needed her. “I mean, I am the hottest and possibly the shortest Prince Charming out there, ‘cause something about mister steal ya girl.” She joked, taking his hand careful to not topple him over the edge by placing her weight towards the bricked wall. “Must say your hair must be working out, my dear,” MJ couldn’t help but continue the little show, starring just the two of them. Plopping next to him before his arm secured her to the ledge she managed to wrap her fluffy blanket over his shoulders, weighted in warmth and security now with her thumb rolling the hem of his shirt just to have some kind of hold him. “The only thing I am holding against you is if you ate my jerky when there was packet already opened.” Bending the truth back to him, not ever bothering bring up the blonde that was in their living room, there was a time and place which wasn’t right now. Her dark eyes widen slightly at his touch though it was where his gaze dropped to that worried her, she wasn’t ever going to kiss him in his self loathing state, nope. Instead, she removed her thumb from his shirt to cup his cheeks in her hands one of them covered in her sleeve from her oodie, bring her forehead against his own and softly laughing as stared loving into his greenish eyes. “You’re such a dork, ya know. Still hiding in the same place as you did back in high school, Harry.” She laughed out, scrunching up her nose as she did so whilst keeping him at a safe distance. Skimming her thumb over the apples of his cheeks. “A cool dork but still a dork.”

          “You’re definitely the hottest and shortest Prince Charming out there.” He agreed with a chuckle. “You’re still the best Prince Charming ever though. You actually came to save me. Not all of them do that.” Harry joked, knowing nothing about Prince Charmings. He wasn’t even one himself, more like the huntsman who stole hearts and guarded his own. There wasn’t much to guard in his chest, however. He had handed that to MJ a long time ago and now he sat with an empty cavity where it once resided. All anyone had to do was ask one of the people he brought over like the blonde who had just left to find out just how heartless he had become over the years. She was one of his eager interns. A woman who had followed him around like a puppy until he paid any attention to her. He knew she excepted things to go further. It was obvious in the way she had said his name and the look of yearning in her eyes. It wouldn’t go any further though. In fact, she would probably be paid off and told to resign for the scandal of it all. Harry would never see her again and he didn’t care. She meant nothing to him. They never did. “Yeah, my hair goes to the gym every day after work.” He chuckled when she commented on his hair working out. Harry had started going to the gym when he got out of the office because it helped him clear his head, the muscle was just an added bonus to the perks of letting everything go for a moment. 

          “Did I?” He asked, not remembering eating her jerky. It didn’t sound that far off of something he would do on accident. “I’m sorry, Beautiful. I’ll buy you more.” Harry apologized. He would buy her anything she wanted. If that was more jerky than she would get it and it would be in bulk that way she would never have to worry about running out. He hoped that the offer would be enough for her to forgive him. MJ was the one person in the world he couldn’t live with having been upset with him. The very thought broke his heart. MJ removed her grip on him and his lips turned down in a pout until she was touching him again, holding his cheeks in her hands. His pout changed back into a smile as she held onto him, calling him a dork. Foreheads pressed together, he whispered back to her. “I know you’ll find me if I keep hiding in the same spot.” Truthfully he had never changed his hiding spot because when things got bad enough for him to hide he wanted MJ to be able to find him. She was the only one who knew all his spots, even keeping some of them hidden from Pete. It was just nice to get away from everyone sometimes, to hide from the world when things got to be much. MJ made things easy though, she never added to the burden of the world. “You think I’m cool?” He joked, winking at her. The small amount of alcohol running through his veins made it easy to be truly himself with her. Pulling her onto his lap, his grip on her tightened. He wanted her closer, even with the clear indication that she was putting space between them by holding onto him the way she was. He got the message but he couldn’t help wanting her like this. It was how he actually felt. It was everything he couldn’t do when he was sober. “Promise you’ll never stop thinking I’m a cool dork?” He chuckled, eyes moving between hers as his hands moved from around her waist to hold the side of her thighs softly.

Her heart over the years has been conflicted over who it truly loves, the one name it kept landing on was Harold Theopolis Osborn, a continuous fall when it comes to him. She loved him but she was young and unsure, now they were grown ups and nothing had changed her mind… actually, it cemented that she could never express her feelings out loud to him because she’d be labelled a gold digger, she didn’t want to bring that doubt on Harry - if she was there sheerly for his money or just to be on the front cover of papers - because it couldn’t be further from the truth. Fallen for his beautiful mind which he didn’t show many, honoured to be the very few who did. Even if it caused her heartache every time he brought another person home with him or was photoed with another, it got under her skin and cut deeply because her own heart bleeds for him. Relishing in such blissful, gravity defying moments with him where he wasn’t buzzed off his face and just allowing her own heart to feed on them, after all, it was a bit like self-care. Or that’s what she tells herself because it gave her the delusion of hinting at him that she’d wouldn’t mind if this was a forever kind of deal that’s how business men spoke, right? She questioned her thoughts. But it was clear she was still falling for him… just he was never there to catch her in anyway. 

Ducking her chin and nose back in her scarf to hide the rose tint on them for longing for someone she knew she couldn’t have, how it still felt like a school girl crush on him - the same butterflies and all. “Yeah,” MJ just flat out agreed with him, squeezing his hand slightly at them being on the same page which they always shared on some kind of wave length or another. “New York is one of a kind, the only city that makes its ambience of rats on the subway glamorous.” She replied with a light giggle whilst turtle-necking her chin back out of her scarf to look up at him, she craves this kind of touch with despite the painful ache when it all stops but hey she was the live in the moment type of girl. Nodding her head at him, she was beyond proud of him for taking over a whole ass company at such a young age and more then happy to share this times to relieve the stresses that come with it - guessing it was the reason he asked her to come with him. “It is a fitting city for Oscorp, flourishing in the grim of this city… bring something pretty to look at, right?” She complimented as best she could though the redhead hates the company it just gave her bad vibes - like that of a haunted house with demons lurking in the darkest of corners. But the architecture of the building is a masterpiece to marvel at, in the dusk. “No, you shouldn’t leave this is your baby, Harry. You need to see this through, I’ll be here to kidnap you when you been cooped up there for too long.” She replied half-heartily, she was only here for him to make sure he stays out of trouble and to pull him back when he gets to close to the ledge because that’s what friends do, right? 

Anyhow, she knew Gwen wouldn’t want her moping around New York. “There is nothing for me in New York with you and Pete being here. The only thing that ties me to that city is Gweny and I know damn well she wouldn’t want me rotting away in that city like trash in the gutter. Besides, at least I can cross off leaving New York off my bucket list because of ya…” She said honest but to mask over the heavy words spoken. “Should give ya kiss for crossing it off my list, Haz.” She teased which was always her fall back when things got to real.

        Harry enjoyed having MJ around. He always had. She was one of the only people in the world that was real with him. She could look him in the eyes and tell him he was wrong, no matter how much power he held or how much money he had. None of that stuff mattered to her. To her, he was just Harold Theopolis Osborn. The weird kid who failed out of private school so his dad forced him to go to public school. He was just who he had always been before the power and the money. She knew the real him, someone he didn’t let many people meet. Without her Harry would have been a very different person, a person he never wanted to be. She made him better. She inspired him to try harder while always reminding him of Gwen. What he had done to Gwen was unforgivable. It was his secret to keep from her. One of the things he couldn’t tell her for the fear that she would see him differently. How could she not? He had killed her best friend. She wouldn’t understand that it was the Goblin, that they were two different entities stuck in one body. It was hard for even him to wrap his mind around sometimes. To keep her in his life he would lie instead. Lying had become second nature. It was easy, almost automatic at this point. He found himself lying about things that didn’t matter just to see if others would catch on and they never did. The Board of Directors were idiots though, so maybe that was why they believed him so easily. Making a mental note to go through and work on a plan to replace some of them, he glanced back down at MJ. 

         Feeling her grip tighten around his hand, he rubbed his thumb along hers softly. It was a comforting action, something to keep his mind occupied and remind him that she was there. He was always worried that she was going to leave. Everyone did. It wouldn’t have been a big shock if she woke up one day and decided that she no longer wanted to be anywhere near him. It would hurt like hell though. Mary Jane Watson held his heart whether she was aware of it or not. She had control over him that no one else did. “Is that what we’re calling it? Glamourous? Maybe on Broadway.” He scoffed at the idea of New York being glamourous. The truth was that New York hid its demons better than Gotham did. The city was just as dark as the one they had moved to. The people were the same just more obvious, more out in the open. It was more socially acceptable to show your cards in Gotham, not that Harry would ever. He kept his close, treating them as enemies he had to hold closer than any of his friends. His secrets would be his downfall if they were to come out. He would make sure they didn’t. Harry had to stop himself from laughing out loud when she said this city was fitting for Oscorp. If only she knew how true that statement was. Oscorp was the same as New York. He hid the demons inside of the beautiful façade of the building. It was easy to keep the darkness hidden inside when everyone was busy stunned by the architecture. “Right,” he agreed. “Oscorp will bring something Gotham has never had. Wayne Enterprises and Stark Industries can’t provide the same things that Oscorp can.” It was the truth. Oscorp did different things than either of the other businesses did. It brought something new to Gotham, something it had never had before. The Board of Directors agreed. That’s why they had green lit his proposal to open a new branch here. 

         Harry wanted to take MJ to see the rest of the world. Gotham was just the first stop on a world tour. It was a business deal he had to finish and then they could jet wherever she wanted to. She deserved the world and he had the means to give it to her. She said she should kiss him and his eyes gravitated to her lips. “I don’t think you want to kiss me, MJ.” He chuckled, trying to play it off.

Envy tugged upon her heartstrings whilst she ushered out another one of Harry’s conquest, she how to break the news to them that he probably won’t call but if it meant that much to them, she’d put in a little reminder as much as it killed her but this woman seemed nice and had her life more put together from that important identification card clipped to the hip of her skirt. Picking up her half eaten bag of chilli beef biltong that was where she found the other woman, placing all her jealously into being annoyed by someone else eating her jerky. No one should come between a girl and her jerky. Anyways, her pink fluffy blanket draped over her puffed out shoulders from the oodie she was dawning, bare freckled legs and knee high odd socks - which had a story behind them as the other pairs of these socks belonged to Gwen but that was for another time. She had search everywhere in the penthouse for him, she was getting a bit antsy he had gone on yet another bender without telling her because she would’ve talked him out of leaving. When she went out on the terrance, bring a nerves shredded piece of meat to her mouth to have something to calm her woes. Just as she was about to go back inside to put clothes on to go on the Harry hunt, she noticed a leg dangling from the rooftop of the penthouse, she smiled relieved for one and two she hadn’t climbed up something in years. 

Noticing the obvious way he got up there, climbing up it only stopping on the last leg she was a tad short to reach the ledge. “Hey there, Rapunzel, mind letting down your hair?!” She called out to get his attention, bring another piece of jerky to her mouth because once you start eating jerky it was hard to stop well at least for MJ.

        Harry was lost in his own world, dissociating hard as his eyes looked over the silhouette of the city. We have to find him. You’re wasting time. He’s here somewhere. We have to kill him. “No,” he fought out loud. The Goblin’s voice was loud, menacing. The malice dripping from the tone of the voice in his head almost scared him. He had grown used to silencing it. After Gwen he had sworn to himself that he would never left the Goblin take control of him again. He blamed himself for her death, even if it had been the Goblin’s doing. It was his body, his actions, and he would never be able to take it back. Gwen’s ghost haunted him, standing over his shoulder always to remind him of the monster he was. The pills helped. They kept the Goblin from even speaking most of the time, but recently he had run out and that’s why he had gone on the bender. Drinking, drugs, sex; All of it helped keep that part of him at bay because the chemicals in his brain were too much for the Goblin to grab ahold of. It was when Harry was weak, when he was vulnerable that things got dangerous. Of course, he couldn’t explain that to anyone, to make them see why he did the things that he did. It was one of the many secrets he would take to his grave. 

       Hearing MJ’s voice, he snapped out of it. She had always been able to do that: bring him out of whatever funk he was in. Looking down at her, he smiled. “Oh look it’s my prince to save me.” Harry teased, reaching down to help her her climb up to the roof. Once she was up, he moved over to give her space beside him, wrapping an arm loosely around her in case of an strong breezes. He couldn’t lose her too, not after losing everything else he cared about. “Sorry I left. I had to go. Work stuff. You know how I get.” He lied, smile still plastered to his features as he looked at her, reaching out with his free hand to move a strand of hair that had fallen into her face. Pushing it behind her ear, his eyes moved to her lips before flickering quickly to meet her eyes.

A slew of curses lapped at her lips, ready to unleash if needed. Quickly, Sylvie reminded herself to compose. She didn’t know what happened, nor if she was in the presence of friend or foe. She needed to be strategic, inviting warfare without basis would be foolish. The last thing she remembered was attempting a spell, something more her brother’s style then her own enchanting, vastly different from all she knew. Then… nothingness. Was it too much? Did she do it incorrectly?          “You passed out in front of my building.” Harry told the blonde once she was finally awake, looking up from his computer. He had one of his associates move her onto the couch in his office so that she wouldn’t get trampled or worse on the streets of Gotham. “Magic?” He asked curiously, one brow raised. Rolling his chair back, he stood up and walked to the front of his desk, leaning against it. “You might have hit your head a little too hard. Do you wanna go to the hospital? I can have someone take you.” He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
