STARTER FOR @blazingchamber
chaos was a simple word to describe it. all morning the phones had trilled endlessly, the preparation for the evening’s grand opening carrying, seemingly, the same sort of stress upon everyone involved as if the world itself was due to end. cashiers were prepped, the windows were decorated with balloons, ribbons and banners, and the models were given the sternest of instructions, however osiris did not share that same frenzy. cool in the face of what he deemed a necessary pressure, he sat atop one of the high stools at the store’s back, running his fingers absentmindedly through his liepard’s fur. she purred in response, uncaring also for the drama of the day, and protectively remained at her master’s side.
“ sir what about the--”
“ it’s been taken care of. “
“ and the -- “
“ yes. “
occasionally someone hired from his mother’s inner circle would approach him, clipboard in hand, but he was more than ready for today. he waved most of them aside with his free hand until one timid young woman ( ah, she must be new ) approached him with a trembling tone to her voice. “ umm... sir... your interview... it’s starting soon. “ of course! the liepard seemed to understand, rising to her feet and leaping from his lap before stretching her back legs gracefully.
“ hm, fine. but you must keep the noise down. this has to go perfectly or mother wont be pleased. “ a warning tone came but he laughed before he walked away. it was a test of strength, after all. he doubted she would last the day. osiris made his way to the store’s entrance, the boutique filled with far too many people but they all seemed to part to make way for him, as they rightly should have. stepping outside, the business only seemed to bleed into the street; camera people assembling their equipment and a crowd had began to gather outside for a peek inside.
it seemed his interviewer had yet to arrive, osiris choosing then to pull out his phone and reply to a few texts as a camera clicked in his direction. even amongst all of the finery of the store and the clothing pouring in and out of it, he stood out despite it all; his loose fitted shirt the same pastel shade of blue as the very sky above on that chilly winter afternoon.
