╰┈➤ sukuna part 2 of the coparenting smau.
Summary ; Sukuna is your ex husband and he was post to pick up your son for his weekend but after he heard you were going on a date so …sabotaged everyones plans.
I post all the parts together soon.
(P.s please dont the mind mistakes.)
The last thing you needed was for him to come over after ruining your date, not to mention your son was bummed out when you told him Sukuna had a change of plans which was bullshit cause he was down the street the whole time. But here you were in your living room waiting for him cause you were already were dressed up. Hell you even drank in defeat because he had ruined your night, having to text your date was embarrassing that your sons father didn’t show up, and thinking of the potential fancy food you couldve ate made it even worse…
Oh the food you couldve ate.
Its best not to dwell you said to yourself but that was a lie, the only reason you were letting him come over was because Sukuna happened to be a good cook, a professional one infact and you were hungry.
The food was the only reason you we’re letting him come over.. right?
—————————
Your phone buzzed and headlights of some expensive car lit up the drive way, you got off the couch lazily and opened the door and there he was. Hair done, black dress shirt and the sleeves rolled up ready to cook, he looked good - too good.. did he actually freshen up for this?
Looking up at him he looked irritated already, hiding something behind his back while holding some bag of ingredients.
“My knives still here?” the stubbornly handsome man asked.
“Ill check.” you replied stepping aside to let him in.
He took a stride before looking around the once fimilar living room, your sons toys on the floor and the empty spot where your wedding photo used to hang. Your home now was once his and he couldn’t help but see the small changes, the fridge that had all the magnets of places he took you too now hanged your sons drawings and not you twos photos that you took on those trips.
He followed you into the kitchen and couldn’t help but look you up and down in the dress he never bought you, he noticed the discarded heels for your failed date at the door and he knew he has bought you those at one point.
And of course you still had his knives and all his cooking wear still. The professional chef didn’t take much after you two split, not that he needed too cause he had good money and a good job.
you watched as he set down the ingredients and bearly spoke a word to you like he hadn’t just fucked up everyones evening cause he was petty, he cooked silently chopping and slicing pieces of meat.
you didnt say much you let him perform his craft.
“Hows the brat?” he asked while he sliced some wagyu he had bought into thin slices.
“No good cause of you.” you scoffed.
you rolled your eyes before taking a seat at the table while he finished cooking your guys meal that smelled surreal but you didn’t want to admit it. The house was silent beside the sounds of sukuna performing his craft, your baby boy sleeping already and his father too focused..
Eventually a plate was set infront of you with a five star meal, and he even place flowers in a vase that was empty on the table.
“Eat up cause I usually charge for this shit.” as he took the seat across from you.
“Whatever Ryomen.” as you picked up your knife and whilst you drooled at the meal infront of you.
his eyes narrowed at the name.
you took a bite of the feast and chewed it slowly to irritate him.
“Hmmmm…Ill thank you when im done.”
he slammed a fist on the table.
“Why the hell are you like this?” his tone annoyed. “Ever since the split you’ve been a brat, even more than our son.”
you sat there and ate your food as he complained “Well maybe if you didn’t make things so hard for me” you said calmly.
“Hard? hard for you?” he spat back nearly insulted.
“I gave you the house and majority time with our son! and hell I pay the stupid payments and I send you money for the boy whenever you need it!” he was right about that unfortunately, even when he wasnt there Sukuna provided for you and your son despite your differences.
“tch, I even go the stupid parent conference things and I attend that boys games till I got banned for being ‘too harsh’ “ he rolled his eyes again.
that almost made you laugh nearly spitting out such delicious meal he had made.
“Yeah stupid brats coach made me wait outside the field.”
“He was probably to focused on the game which is good.”
you laughed softly for once, “Just like his father..” you said quietly.
sukuna closed his mouth just as he was about to complain more about your sons incompetent coach.
he looked at you after the sickenly sweet sound of your laughter, so sweet it disgusted him that he hadnt heard it in awhile.
“Hes just like you Ryomen.” you sighed as you sipped your drink.
“Ryomen.” he said blankly.
“Ryomen. Ryomen.” he repeated out of frustration.
hearing you calling him that when you used to call him such sweet things before frustrated him.
“The way you say it feels like Im nobody to you.” Ryomen glanced to the side his eyes narrowed.
“Tch - What more than you want for me? I haven’t don’t anything besides give you a headache every once in while with what I say, and hell Ive been good to the brat and you know it.”
He leaned back in his chair crossing his arms, petty of a man he was.
“keep calling me Ryomen woman, but you used to be Mrs Ryomen, in-fact you were MY woman”
that hit your heart a little but you kept quiet.
He looked at you, his eyes different than before..they were frustrated but not over something petty this time - something more. The way he had kept insisting he had gotten better made he felt like he wanted to see it and acknowledge he was trying to change besides being a prick.
Was he trying to win you back with this? if so you hadnt seen him so vulnerable in awhile.
You had been a little harsh to him since the divorce and you both knew it. Either way he had been getting better besides giving you a headache every once in a while, atleast he didn’t give you a headache when it came to your son. He showed up and he paid when he needed to and your little boy never spoke badly about his father and could only boast on how good his father was too him.
God how did you two end up like this? late into the night having an overdue dinner..after he had ruined everyones plans.
You both sat quietly after his rant.
Sukuna to stubborn to admit how he felt about how you had been treating him lately and you.. unsure.
There was no dessert just a quiet house.
Stubborn as he was.. he did wait for you to finish while he drank and stared out the window into your backyard.
Once finished your food you slid the plate foward he immediately got up and yanked the plate aswell as the other dishes and headed for the sink, oh boy was he still mad that his attempt of a romantic dinner with his ex wife had gone south into one a rare vulnerableish? moment of his.
you stayed seated as you watched him wash the dishes for you free of charge.
Even when he was petty he still took care of you.. one way or another.
He might of ruined your date and your son’s evening, but if tou were being honest they way he had looked at you tonight and seeing him being all fed up and jealous might have been the real meal not the one he cooked you.
Didn’t help he was handsome too.
you sighed before making your way to the sink standing beside him.
and he was right he didn’t do this stuff for free.
“Kuna?” the name left your mouth the for first time in a long time causing him to turn his head.
you leaned up on your tippy toes a little to give him a peck on the cheek.
“Thank you.” you whispered in his ear softly.
He quickly wiped his hands before turning to you.
“…you remember what I said earlier?” his eyes glaring into you.
“good,” before his hand reached for your face leaning down for a hungry kiss.
a really really hungry kiss.
“Kuna-“ you tried to pull back for some air as he nearly devoured your lips. “I said I dont do this for free sweetheart.” He mumbled before digging right back in sweeping you up for the bedroom.
you did pay him back..and he made it up to you.
The next morning your baby boy walked into the kitchen still sad his papa couldn’t come get him the night prior.
But soon his little face lit up when for the first time in awhile he saw both mama and papa together in the kitchen.
Papa cooking pancakes for the both of you.
