that ending...i just don't think about that ending lmao like as i always say i ignore anything s4b onwards bc the writers just rly drove amy's character (or what little character she still had/ever had lol) off the cliff and made her extra unbearable, which by extension made ricky/amy tiresome to watch/root for lol. like idg why they couldn't extend the character development they gave ricky to amy as well, and i say this as someone who actually unironically thinks amy gets a bad rap for being The Worst™ from the get-go lol. like yeah, she always acted like the victim who was always being wronged, but that to me was understandable in the first two seasons bc to quote amy legend herself (anlsownqs;";), 'hello, [she's] a teenager and she just had a baby' + a slew of other life issues that ofc a teenager would feel some type of way about, and having a baby doesn't magically just make her a mature adult with mature adult reactions lol, but at some point she rly needed and i rly wanted to see her grow tf up and get over it lmao. and that's what i thought they were going for with her first new york storyline/her and ricky's relationship, but this show just had to live up further to its reputation of being badly written and didn't let that happen either mslwpwowsn (probably also doesn't help that brenda hampton had issues with shailene becoming a ~Star~ and it clearly reflected in her character's writing lol...as i said: it's on SIGHT bh)
