Every now and then I’ll hop back on this dang app just to see what it’s like now. And I’ll remember how so many years ago it was a weird refuge for all my angry depressive emotions. And how I wished that the “right” people were seeing them and noticing and if they thought about it. But mostly it makes me think of the person I was, and how I wish I could go back and tell 20-26 year old me (jfc, btw) about all the hurt he’s causing by his hurt. And to tell him that there will continue being terrible days, but that there will also be good ones. I would go back and try to make sense of all those emotions. Of the anxiety, the depression, of the emotions that no one ever helped me try to understand in myself as a child, so that when they all came to the surface in those years it would be better handled instead of freaking out on people all the time. So that he could be a better person from the get go, instead of taking the majority of your 20s to figure out what so many others you admire have obviously figured out.

And mostly I would tell him to definitely N O T let that person slide back into his DM’s in 2016 so it wouldn’t lead to him almost un-aliving himself lmao

Man but I totally did finish school (at least undergrad lol). So fucking crazy to see this and know I finally made it. Probably not the biggest accomplishment because it was just a History degree and I’m still just working my regular job, but still. I think I can be a little proud of this.
