SUBLIME CINEMA #567 - ATLANTICS
I stopped giving Netflix my money ages ago so I’m having to wait till I’m with friends or find other ways to see the few movies I do like on there - Power of the Dog most recently, and this hypnotizing Senegalese film from Mati Diop, a French/Senegalese director I had never heard of, but I am glad to have encountered her now.
I love the motif of the returns to the vaporous ocean. And Senegal I have not seen enough of in films.

Start Over.
I’m trying to lose up with my line work and my process all together. Sometimes I feel like I’ve lost my way and I’ve painted myself into a corner where I start to become overly obsessive with tiny bits of detail. So here’s a piece, a Start Over, Burn it all down.
I told myself if I was perfect, if I did everything right, I could beat it.

Skateopus?
I feel I’ve done as much as I can without going too insane. I wanted to start limiting my detail in certain things recently but I guess I got a little carried away with this one.. as usual.
How are you guys doing?
