ppl are really not ready to be uncomfortable. when i first wanted to get into radical feminism, i was so hellbent on still shaving because â well body hair looks weird on everyone! men should shave too!â then when i saw women saying bitch and cunt were misogynistic slurs, i was so opposed to that because bitch was a part of my daily vocabulary. but at some point, you have to stop being up your own ass and listen to others because sometimes you realize⊠you are just dead wrong đ and you actually do need to work on yourself. the more i started reading, the more i started seeing and the more i had to evaluate what the fuck I was saying and doing. when i get mad at a woman, why do i call her a bitch? why do i shave even though i donât really like it? you have to get comfortable with discomfort đ€·ââïž
If Language Reflects Society, What Does "Bitch" Say About Ours?

Imagine if one of the most common insults in everyday language was specifically tied to men.
People would notice immediately. Yet "bitch" is so normalized that most people never stop to question why a word associated with women became a universal insult.
What interests me is that women are often called a bitch for things that men are praised for. Being direct, opinionated, ambitious, stubborn, setting boundaries, refusing to be agreeable all the time. When a man does it, he's confident or a leader. When a woman does it, suddenly she's a bitch??
I'm not saying everyone who uses the word hates women. Most people don't even think about it. But language doesn't exist in a vacuum. Words carry histories, and some words reveal the standards society holds for different groups.
A lot of feminism is just questioning things we've accepted as normal for so long that we stop noticing them. For me, "bitch" is one of those things.
And once you start noticing it, you see it everywhere. If someone doesn't do something reckless, they're a "pussy." If they do, people say "have some balls." It's strange that weakness, fear, and cowardice are associated with female anatomy, while courage, strength, and confidence are associated with male anatomy.
Funny how "grow some balls" means be brave, when balls are famously delicate, and "pussy" means weak, when vaginas are literally built to withstand childbirth. Language is weird.
To label the entirety of Islam as a "curse" based on one personâs actions is a classic case of confirmation bias, where someone twists reality to match a negative, pre existing opinion.
This approach is not only deeply misogynistic, but it is also intellectually lazy, it literally ignores the bigger picture to push a specific agenda. The truth is that the horrific behavior we see from men in positions of power across ALL religions has absolutely nothing to do with the core tenets of those faiths and everything to do with a thirst for control, unchecked misogyny, and deep-seated sexism. Men have historically used whatever tools are available to them, including religious dogma, as a mask to hide their desire for dominance and to justify the oppression of women. Because of this, it is crucial to recognize that acts of extremism are tools of manipulation, rather than a reflection of the daily lives and values of nearly two billion Muslims. The real question is why this behavior is constantly blamed on Islam specifically, while the same types of abuse in other religions are excused as "isolated incidents." This double standard exists because of a deep-seated bias that finds it easier to target a specific group than to look at the real, underlying problem. If someone truly cared about the rights of women, they would fight against these patriarchal structures everywhere, instead of using these videos as an excuse to spread hate toward an entire global community.
Itâs genuinely embarrassing to see you blame an entire religion for the actions of a few, especially when itâs so obvious youâre just projecting your own biases. Youâre ignoring the reality that this is about power, not faith but ig itâs easier to be a bigot than to actually educate yourself on the history of patriarchy. Lets all hold hands and actually educate ourselves guys.
