Mami left her flat. She needed some air, and all this negotiating with Kyubey for advanced rules within the Soul Gem trade was giving her a headache. Deciding against the elevator, she walked down the hallway, passing by the others' rooms. Despite their outward similarities, she knew that every room she walked by was drastically different. On the way to the stairs, she passed by first Kaname-sama's, which she knew was a pale pink within, and covered with equal amounts of paperwork and stuffed animals. Odd, for the leader of a feared crime family, but everyone likes different things. Next, Akemi-san's. She had insisted on a room next to the boss, and everyone knew why. Still, her room was a deep purple, and for all Miss Tomoe knew, no one was ever allowed inside. Next came Sakura-san's. Mami missed the days that they fought together, but so long as the woman was happy, that was good. She was spending more time with Miki-san lately, and her room was a crimson color, and full of food, spears, guns. There was a hidden shrine as well, but very few people knew of that. She continued to walk, coming to the pale blue door that would lead to Miki-san's room. From inside, she could hear talking, and was about to continue walking before she listened more closely. The scrape of strings could be heard. A violin. Though she did not know the story behind it, Mami could always enjoy a good violin. This was far from good, but she could practically hear the feeling behind those strokes. She closed her eyes and listened in the hallway for longer than she had planned, wondering what could have caused the girl this sorrow. Suddenly, a voice spoke up from within the room. "Hello? Is someone there?" Sayaka asked tentatively. Her voice was tearful, as if she had been crying. Embarrassed to have violated the woman's privacy in such a way, the blonde made for the stairs rather quickly.
