i love her smmmm
I love Judy cause shes rlly just the macho horrible gaslighting man sterotype, but shes a woman.
This show has the best worst outfits in the history of television.
“Well that’s where you’re wrong; I am currently fighting with my younger brother, so I no longer love him.”
Inspired dialogue from the Righteous Gemstones tonight.

Kelvin, you sound thirsty as fuck. You need to go lie down, boy. Get some night-nights.
I love how Keefe was the saved satanist but Kelvin never tried to change anything else about him. Tattoos, horror movies, alternative style, he never wanted Keefe to change any of it. He loved him just the way he was. They’re so everything to me.
BJ is doing so well at his pole dancing, I wish he had been able to get back to it after he recovered, but I get that it'd be a lot.
... BJ and Keefe have both had an interest in provocative dancing, and both have one earring, and are both sweethearts, and I am positive BJ could get Keefe into pickleball. I just really feel in my heart that these two will become good friends one day (and Kelvin and Judy may hate it ^^;; )
This was such a touching scene between Amber and Judy, from the dichotomies of their costumes—(Amber dressed to the nines, as impeccable as ever, while Judy was uncharacteristically vulnerable in casual wear)—to the acting choices Cassidy and Edi made.
It was both the disarming softness with which Amber voiced her concern for Judy and BJ, and the knowing delicacy she employed when she reached out to touch Judy’s shoulder.
And it was also the way that Judy’s expression went through a thousand different lifetimes as she realized what Amber was trying to do—the wide-eyed sadness, the instinctive flinch of surprise, and the disbelief afterwards that she was being touched so tenderly by someone, especially this someone with whom she’s had a historically rocky relationship.
Amber’s kind gesture here especially stands out because it’s one of the few shows of compassion we’ve seen from the family at large since BJ’s accident, which in turn is a reminder that Judy often feels invisible and unseen, so tangible acts of care are absolutely vital for her to carry on.
And that Amber knows this and capably acts upon it reifies one of the more subtle but consistent threads in TRG. Though she certainly has her flaws, ultimately, she has a good heart, a keen mind, and a damn fine track record when it comes to looking out for her own.
gentle and beautiful work.

"the psychology of severance" "the psychology of succession" what about the psychology of the righteous gemstones? what about the depiction of grief in the righteous gemstones and how it creeps into your every day — every little action gives away how you miss someone. everything you do is a reminder to the audience of the hole that's been left there before we even see the start the show. brilliantly done for real
