Only critique I have towards this AU of yours is dark Sonic's characterization, I much prefer the idea that he has complete awareness of the things he's doing, making dark sonic this uncontrollable creature (exaggerating of course, I have no idea how far your dark sonic goes in the uncontrollable spectrum) kind of takes away what makes the form special to me, the idea that in this form sonic knows that what he's doing is the wrong thing but still enjoys it regardless gives a lot more nuance to the form to me instead of just being the basic "Naruto 4 tailed transformation" kind of character, idk how to describe it, it's been a while since I watched that episode, so forgive me if I got a lot of things wrong, I spend more time analyzing sonic himself instead of dark sonic. Dark sonic being basically if sonic let himself be more self-indulgent in everything he does to the point of basically allowing himself to go an a power fantasy and show off how much weaker anyone else actually is in comparison to himself makes the form really stand out from being just fleetway super sonic, but more silent, dark sonic is not uncontrollably attacking everyone on the battlefield, he knows how to focus those negative emotions on one target, he knows what he's doing and that makes him far more compelling than just being another Kurama-like character, cuz no one ever uses a "character that attacks everything and everyone uncontrollably" to it's maximum extent anyways, never get to see character like that maybe killing an ally, they always manage to get the character to stop before anything truly bad happens, no one has the balls to actually kill a character off like that... Oh well, I got off track, anyways don't let me rain on your parade tho, if you really enjoy the way things are right now let them be, hope you manage to tell the story you wanna tell.

Hi ! Thanks for your thoughts first of all, I always appreciate some feedback and suggestions from anyone! It is my first AU after all.

I think I did a poorly job describing Dark Sonic's personality in the AU, mostly bc I have drawings that will explain everything better. Sorry for taking too long btw! I decided to take a lil break from drawing since I was overworking myself.

I never said Dark Sonic was not aware of his actions tho, I think I stated that the one who's not fully aware of what is going on is HyperShadow, and that Dark Sonic is fully aware; he has his memories, he knows something is wrong, and he wants to go back to normal. He just simply can't, since HyperShadow has basically stole all his light energy.

Since he can't go back to normal, he is stuck following Shadow around since his presence calms him. Dark Sonic in my AU basically cannot measure his strenght, and lets his depressive emotions take over him. I see Sonic as a creature who is way too powerful but never uses his full potential bc he controls himself, but Dark Sonic is just a form where he can't do that.

Dark Sonic is sad, upset, impulsive, and lost. He is all the emotions Sonic usually hides nor doesn't like about himself, he can't think in a positive way, and he lets his emotions act for him.

I hope I gave a better explanation with this! Again thanks for asking, suggestions are always appreciated, have a nice day! ^-^

hi! sorry i have a question about the hyper dark au thingy

so like im REALLY confused. im after reading all of the stuff on ur page i could find about it but the only thing I got was that shadow is happy and sonic is depressed as hell and shadow doesn't realise?? why is sonic so depressed?

No worries! This thing started as a silly idea and it became a big thing really quick lol so I understand why would you be confused.

To summarize, basically in an accident Shadow takes over the Hyper Form transformation, but he doesnt handle it the same way as Sonic, so he's basically really happy and oblivious all the time, he doesn't want to turn back to normal because he likes being freed of sufferring for once. That's just my interpretation of it, it's not canon or anything. This thing is fully fan-made.

Why is Sonic sad and depressed? when he tried to turn Shadow back to normal, Hyper Shadow without realizing took all the Light energy in Sonic's body. In Sonic X they explain Sonic is someone who has the ability to control the "Light of Chaos" and then show he also has a "Dark Energy" in him that makes him become Dark Sonic.

Dark Sonic is not canon anymore but I like the idea of Sonic finally letting his negative/impulsive emotions win.

I hope that's a more simple explanation? if not let me know and I can think in a better way LOL

I have absolutely no idea if you've answered this already, I'm a bit new to the hyperdark au but I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED!!!

Now, to the questions: Is it possible for hyper shadow and dark sonic to be "turned back?" I'm not sure if that's the right way to phrase it, basically just asking if they can get back to their normal states. Follow up, if that DID happen, would Shadow retain any of his memories of being hyper shadow?

SO sorry if these questions are like, dumb or repetitive (I don't know if other people have asked before AGAHA) but this au has been bouncing around in my head for the past few days and I keep thinking over potential "what if's", I ADORE your art and your au!!

Shadow wont remember much at the beginning but slowly the memories will go back to him, he's gonna have the worst reality check of his life lol

Hello, I wanted to ask something about the HyperDarkAU, Is Hyper Shadow somewhat aware of the damage his actions cause to sonic? I get that he doesn't want to give up the bliss that is his Hyper form, but is he choosing to keep it despite hurting sonic or is he just not aware?

I would imagine that if he knew how much it hurt Sonic, he would try to help him, or is it that Dark Sonic hasn't told him? I can't come up with a good reason fon him not to tell Hyper Shadow, unless he told him, and because that would cause Shadow distress his Hyper form just instantly makes him forget?

There is so much to ponder in this AU I'm losing my mind, but loving every second of it. I can't wait to see what you have in store 💙🖤

I was thinking “damn, all I talk is HyperDark Au, everyone must be bored at this point” just to see this and the yapping is back on LOL

I tried to think in a nice way to explain this without being too “disturbing” but i don’t think there’s a nice way to put it so;

Hyper Shadow really doesn’t have many of his memories, mostly the good ones from the Space Colony Ark and then some of his memories on earth, he doesn’t remember the massacre, Maria’s death or him trying to destroy the earth basically.

He does remember his feelings for Sonic, but before this whole mess he was really in denial of them, and tried to repress them as much as possible.

After turning Hyper, Shadow remembers loving Sonic, but in this state he doesn’t understand how he’s hurting him, in his head Sonic is as perfect as ever, and he loves him, and some twisted part of him loves having him for himself all the time.

He likes bringing him comfort, he doesn’t think of it as being codependency but love, “he keeps coming back, he stops struggling when I touch him, he looks at me with a smile, with adoration”

I just want to make sure it’s clear that Shadow is really not aware of what he’s doing and he sees everything as being all happy and perfect, it’s kinda fucked up but again, I really want to express how reaching happiness but also losing yourself completely can ruin you.

If Hyper Shadow is alone he will just wonder around with no care in the world im afraid lol probably forget about Dark Sonic and get lost in the vast of the universe by himself.

If Dark Sonic is alone, he will probably lost his mind since he doesn't have his anchor anymore, just imagine him just losing control constantly honestly.

Hi! I love this au and have been thinking about it a lot :)

(F you haven’t already given an answer to this) If/when shadow goes back to normal would he remember what it felt like to be just happy like not that he remembers what he did but just remembers the feeling of pure happiness but not sure why?

Initially, he wont remember, but the memories will slowly go back to him. It's like having PTSD but not having any memories of it of the traumatic event.

I'd like to think he remembers the bliss but just like a memory, not the whole thing, like he remembers being happy and in peace but it feels so impossible to him he ignores it.

So I'd say just remembers the feeling of pure happiness but not sure why option! Initially, later he will remember what happened.

Do his inhibitor rings even do anything for him in that state? Since he's kind of already ultrapowered on chaos energy, can the inhibitors keep up with that level? Do they still help control with his output or are they just kind of there for accessory now

If Shadow taking out his inhibitor rings in super form literally drains him out of Chaos Energy completely, I’d say in Hyper Form he would probably die

I think this may sound shocking lol and it’s not something that would happen in the AU, but in an hypothetical “What if” situation, Shadow’s body could never handle the amount of Energy in his body if he ever takes his inhibitor rings off during Hyper

It’d be way too much, his body would disintegrate, worst part? he would probably never notice what’s happening to him since he’s so out of it

The slug babies can smell 007's weakness. They know he is the weakest out of all of their parents. They will slowly, one by one, go up to him and ask for uppies. He obliges, then another comes asks for uppies. He does it again, then ANOTHER asks for uppies. They KNOW he can't carry them all, but they continue. He tries to protest, plead, anything! yet they do not heed his call.

Those who haven't been grabbed by him begin to climb up his legs. They are all heavy. He cannot carry all of them. They keep on climbing, more and more add up to the pile until he topples over. Now they have him trapped. He cannot move. They all fall asleep as the little devils they are. Poor 007n7 has to lay there until they decide to get up or until one of the others take the babies(which is a 50/50).

I was looking at the molting comic post and I realised that the darkheart spoke in it so I gotta ask what the darkheart and firebrand are like personality and speech pattern wise?

The SFOTH Swords in Forsake Me Not AU have personalities completely made by me with little research on any actual personalities they have in other media- Since this au is so far off the rails already.

I mentioned that the swords tend to pick owners that reflect their own personality, meaning you can actually grasp how some of them act already since i've mentioned who has some of the swords up to date.

Starting with who you asked about,

Darkheart is a sword who craves power, she's a temptress who lures users in with promises of untouchable victory. She's the whispers that call from the shadows, every underhanded trick in the book, corruption and lies are her main way of communication- She favors Itrapped and Doombringer, because both seek positions of power across robloxia, Doom utilizes brute strength and war tactics, while Itrapped is the most underhanded person you'll ever fight.

Illumina is wielded by Shedletsky in Forsake Me Not, and is comparable in personality to that of an angel, promising not power, but protection from all harms way. He seeks those good of heart, of justice and truth, even when that truth is painful. He has considered leaving Shedletsky for his lies about his identity as Telamon and his child, but he's promised that one day he will come clean, and he trusts him.

Firebrand is a fucking GREMLIN. Power doesn't quite cover what it promises- so much as it seeks challenge, hardship, adventures, growth. It harbors the flame of infinite energy, of burning passion in its users- which is why Coolkid was such a HANDFUL to take care of and 7n7 would not have survived it without his literal GOD boyfriend's help.

Venomshank, is a blade of internal grief and suffering. It lends itself to those at the lowest of low. Yet only infects them further. Power is only gained through hardship in it's mind, and the more one has suffered, the more one has earned it's blade and power in turn. Perhaps this is why it chooses 1x, for no one has suffered more than she.

Perhaps i'll speak of the others if i could ever decide who i think wields them in the future.

You could chalk up the first timeline to Being neglecting his son and not realizing that unlike him, Specter needs certain things to live. I have to emphasize that Being is NOT meant to be the savior of the AU, he is incredibly ignorant for an all knowing god, and doesn't understand right from wrong. He absolutely should have stopped what Specter was doing sooner.

Spectre puts on this whole evil persona and kidnaps people from their homes n shit, forsakening them to eat the negative emotions brought up by it.

Nowadays hes not nearly as threatening (hell, look at him, he looks like a depressed teenager instead of an evil suit mf)- his Dad keeps a close eye on him and he's fed using the negative emotions drudged up from regular stuff but on a much wider scale- basically Being gives him free reign to eat across the entirety of Roblox, no touching though, he's gonna have to wait out his thousand or so year grounding.
