Hey everyone, I'm Rika. I'm a fan artist who has loved Death Note—especially Mello, Matt, and Near—for a really, really long time. I'm so happy to finally be on Tumblr!

Some of you might have actually seen my work over on DeviantArt (https://www.deviantart.com/rikamello/gallery). Yep, that's me—the real rikamello!

Since I live in China, internet restrictions make it pretty hard for me to log onto Tumblr myself very often. But I'm still actively creating content for the Wammy’s House boys, and my love for M, M2, and N is as strong as ever. I heard this place is full of people who love them just as much, so I really wanted to connect with you all and share my art here.

If any of you have any headcanons, ideas, or prompts about the Wammy’s kids, or if you just want to talk to me, please feel free to send me an email! Every single thought you share is incredibly precious to me. They're like puzzle pieces scattered across a room, and sometimes, your idea is the exact missing piece I've been looking for.

It doesn't even have to be a big deal. Even a fleeting thought like, "Mello holding a glass of water on a random day"—you can tell me about it. Your descriptions form those puzzle pieces, and they might just fill a blank space in my mind. I really, really need that.

There are days when I feel down or uninspired on my own. When that happens, a sparkling little idea from you guys can truly become a beam of light that brightens up my day.

we’re pleased to finally release the full list of prompts for meronia week 2026! today, june 17, marks the beginning of a two-month countdown to the event in august, time which participants may use to prepare their submissions in advance if they so choose.

this year, in lieu of the the bingo board format, we are using a list of prompts split into three categories. there is no way to “win” the event this year, per se, but participants will earn achievements for using certain numbers or combinations of prompts. for example, one achievement might be earned by using all the prompts in one category; another might be awarded to the participant who combines prompts from all three categories in one submission.

(at a later date, we will release a partial list of the achievements possible; there will still be several secret achievements that can only be discovered by accidentally reaching them ✨)

I remember following you on DeviantArt when I was a teen, I'd just stare at my screen with my jaw on the floor and dream of being able to draw like you someday. Your art was (AND STILL IS) absolutely incredible!! It's so great to have you here on Tumblr, thank you so, so much for sharing your art with us here!!💖

Your message is so beautiful it feels surreal. I don't quite know how to put my feelings into words, but I'm truly so happy, thank you so much. If my drawings ever moved you back then, having that feeling return to me from you after all these years, through the Wammy's boys... I suddenly realise that this is exactly how love is passed on.
