Autistic Steve Harrington self-regulating after school/after work by getting into his car and just screaming as loud as possible the entire way home. That's his way of vocal stimming, just being loud as fuck.

Eddie sees this one day when they're in the parking lot of Family Video together and genuinely gets concerned that Steve's having, like, a mental breakdown or something. So that's how he introduces himself to Steve.

*knocks on driver's side window*

*Steve notices and rolls down his window* "Oh, hey Munson, what's up?"

"Are you...like...okay?"

"Uh...yeah? Why wouldn't I be?"

"Just, uh, you were screaming?"

"Oh...oh! Yeah, no, that's fine. I'm, like, getting all the anger out. Returning to normal, y'know?"

"Uh...what?"

Steve shrugs. "I'm fine, dude. Don't worry about it. I'm having a good time right now, sorta." *rolls up window again and starts screaming all over again, backs out of the parking lot*

*Eddie watching Steve's car disappear into the distance, the screaming getting quieter the farther he gets* "Sure. Yeah. That was normal, Harrington. Perfectly fucking normal."

Eddie tries it out the next time he's in his van and, shocker, he ends up liking the way it keeps him grounded.

5-star chefs vs people with ARFID

Should be fun seeing the chefs try to make something great and amazing and then utterly failing because the customers have ARFID and can't enjoy half of the shit they're given lmao

The father-in-law / son-in-law dynamic means more to Wayne and Steve than either of them know.

Uncle Wayne loves that he finally has someone in the house who he can talk sports with. He’s relieved that he doesn’t have to worry as much about Eddie when he’s got Steve with him.

Steve loves having a positive, loving father-figure in his life. He finally has a family that loves and sees him. Really sees him.

Eddie shifts closer, head coming to rest on Steve’s chest. His voice goes quiet and says “I… sleep better when you’re around.”

No teasing, no deflection like he would usually do being honest. And Steve’s arm tightens around him. “Good,” he murmurs. “‘Cause I breathe better when you’re safe.”

I've started rewatching Stranger Things, so here's a quick sketch with Eddie in honour of that.

Actually, I've watched all the seasons of ST, but this is the first time I'm rewatching it, and it's quite interesting how much my opinion changes about the characters and different plot points. Well, not surprising really - I looked at things completely differently when I was 14 or 15, but it's very interesting to track these changes in perception
