Random
So my person holding my paper ain't here so now here's a random post. I feel like talking a tidbit about religion. I, myself, am an atheist. I just personally am confused as to why there are so many different beliefs. Nothing wrong that there is, we have a right to what we believe in, but I just don't understand why there's polytheistic and monotheistic religions. Maybe this is just because I only come from a Christianity faith based childhood where there was one God and he was the only deity. But I can only question due to my beliefs.

Stricter Gun Control Cannot Be Beneficial
I think the debate on gun control is overrated, but their are opinions and they all deserve recognition. I think that the gun control laws are just fine as they be. Though study shows armed violence is more common in states with weak gun restrictions, more strain on obtaining the weapons won't stop the violence altogether. In 1976 Washington D.C. Passed a law against the use of a handgun, even in one's own home. Crime rates rose plenty for many states years later to pass laws allowing guns on body for protective safety. And I like these laws. We have the birthright to protect our lives and the Founding Fathers understood that we needed protection, that is why the Second Amendment was written in our Constitution.
Oh no! The Robots Have Taken Over the World!
This is an interesting topic indeed for the concept is irregular to most people. I think that technology won't overcome mankind. I say this confidently for all others that would disagree. I believe that they only way robot would overcome humanity is only if we put human brains and organs into the piece of tech. Now I still would say humans are safe because looking at the common rule of humanity is no disturbing the dead. Not that zombies will eat you or ghosts will haunt you if you mess with those who've past, but all around the world you can get in big trouble for digging up graves. This also leaves open the possibility of transferring your organs to the robot while still being alive. I have no clue about others and their desire for a robot body, but if it meant possible death with a slight chance of life I would deny the opportunity and I believe others would do the same. Another argument that I've discussed with myself here and there is a scientific replica of a brains electrical impulses. Although in generic theory it could be possible to replicate how our brains function with their electric pulses, the second thing needed would be the many chemical releases in our brain that a machine couldn't just produce without organs. I'm glad to say in my own theory and opinion that robotics won't take over humanity due to ethical beliefs and the need for a human organ or two.

Time Travel
One concept I have never understood was the concept of time travel. Using a machine or magical object to travel through the fabric of time. But what I cannot necessarily grasp in my head of ideas is how to change time. If we change a clocks display of our time, it will not adjust time itself, although it makes a good pun. And sadly all the DeLorean owners going 88 mph will experience the same disappointing realization as well. I do not think time travel will ever be achieved with modern day technology. Our technological advances are sadly not enough. We cannot even lift things using our brains without a brain wave transmitter and a computer within the tiny object that our so called "advanced technology" can withstand. But enough about neuroscience in this time travel based article. Sadly, as much as the concept is very exciting, I'm afraid to say time travel will never be achieved.

Late Night Television
Late, it was late one November night. Timothy, poor Timothy. He was taking a break from the troubling thought criss-crossing through his mind. He had a scorching hot bowl of popcorn upon his lap, burning him, but he didn't care because it was buttery. He looked above and turned on the television. He turns to the last channel: 420, the last channel he knew. Accidentally hitting the channel up button it switched a channel unknown to him. The TV showed a commercial for a blender. But the blender had blood stains. Little Timothy switched off the TV to reveal a dead silence. His brain was exhausted. He went to sleep. Not knowing it would be his last. At one o'clock he awoke to nothing, it riddled his mind. He flipped on the TV to find multi-colored shapes and forms; reaching for him. A man emerged, blended with the lights. He looked at him, spun around, and shattered the ancient television. Timothy was terrified. The man took a shard and plunged it into Timothy's stomach spouting blood everywhere in the room. The dead corps is taken by the man and thrown into the television followed by the man. The glass returns to the TV except for the shard used to kill poor Timothy.
"Old Lady" "Chicago"
In the windy city of Chicago, there was a poor, old woman. Lost around the new area she was troubled in finding her way home. From a prior experience her tongue had been grotesquely severed and she was unable to afford a fake replacement. Willowing in her forever borne silence she lived among others. Eventually she found her home. It reminded her of when she was a child. She would come home after playing in the snow with her dear brother, sit by the fireplace under a blanket and drink warm cocoa, trying to save the memory. When she got in her home she switched on the television to recall the weather, switched it off and went to her book. The story gave her joy, the only joy she feels throughout the day. After reading she checks the time and prepares for bed, to await another stressful day of life.
