3rd week update!
I can’t believe it has been 3 weeks already!
Last weekend I ventured out to the Kansas City area to visit Alisia and family! It was HOT so we spent a bunch of time at the pool!
It was so great to be able to see lil miss Alexandra! And playing card games til late in the night! Alisia has a serious “poker face” when playing phase 10!
On the way back to Colorado, I was listening to my audio book when the author started describing the Geographical Center of the 48 states. I realized I was only about 2 hours away and decided to make the 150 mile detour to check it out! It was just as the author described! Well worth the detour just to break up the boring Kansas landscape!
My next adventure was a one night campout in Cañon City, CO. Jenni and I went up to the Royal Gorge and managed to snag a free campsite with a breathtaking view all around! When I woke up the next morning, I went on a short hike with the dogs before it got too hot. We spent the day relaxing in the shade. I broke out my hammock and read a book for a while before packing up and heading back to Denver. The storm had already started rolling in and I was not about to get stuck in the downpour!
